First time visiting this spot after my coworker and I were in the area, and she had been raving about it. I'm glad we arrived before the lunch rush because it was nice and quiet until around noon. The real standout was the bean dip served hot with chile verde sauce. It was so good and definitely a must-try. Since we got there about half an hour early, we kept snacking on the chips and bean dip, and honestly, it was hard to stop. I ordered the lunch special with shredded beef flautas. For $11.99, it was a solid deal and pretty tasty. I can be a tough critic, especially when it comes to Mexican food, so that says a lot. I can see why this restaurant was voted one of the best Mexican restaurants in Kings County in 2025. It's definitely worth checking out. We met Armona friends for lunch, and it's good enough that we'll drive the 25 minutes from home to eat there again. We had fish tacos and shrimp enchiladas, both grilled (breaded is another option). Enchiladas are available either "Mexican style or regular," so I enjoyed one of each. All very good, including the accompanying rice and beans on our lunch specials. We had a side of bean dip with our tortilla chips, and it was so flavorful I was tempted to eat the whole cup as a soup. It reminded me of a thick tortilla soup. The lunch special is a great deal. Dinner prices are more typical, but some include a salad and tortillas. A worthwhile stop right off highway 198, between Lemoore and Hanford. read more

Shrimp ceviche was a huge portion, but lacked in flavor. I was a bit confused on how they incorporated raw and cooked shrimp together. Chilli relleno was my favorite dish but rice and beans were very plain. Baja fish tacos- asked for grilled but it came deep fried, was too hungry so ate it anyway. This is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of nowhere. I live 25 minutes away and this is worth the drive for some excellent Mexican food. The service was friendly from all the servers, the food came out hot and fresh, and the drink refills came out on time. I will say the complimentary chips and salsa was a kind gesture, but the salsa was boring. The server did bring out 3 bottles of salsa for the meal and every one of those was so much better than the salsa for the chips, if they just used one of the bottled salsa it would be so much better. We have made our rounds to this place several times after being recommended by a coworker and finding it on yelp. We have tried some of their plates and its been delicious everytime. Customer service is always great, place is always clean and place has music and tvs to watch a game or music videos. Their bar is a decent size with a variety of drinks. My name is Johannes Lud Finnwig. This is the worst burrito I've ever had. Thin spongy bread that looks like it's gonna rip. Chicken dryer than my gramma. Asked for all the toppings save beans, got a burrito with only chicken and rice. Some weird grainy stuff all over the bottom half of the burrito's outside, couldn't tell if it was sawdust, sand, or what. It didn't matter cuz I called it quits anyway. I am an obese man. It is impressive to get me to put down a meal when I'm hungry. Last night I ate 4 steaks for part of my dinner. Had a miserable belly ache today because of it. And I still put this pathetic excuse for a burrito down after 4 bites. I mean how can you make this product and be like nice, I did it. This burrito doesn't even look edible. I wanted to Ron Burgundy it out my window while I was driving. The marlin empanadas were drenched in oil and super soggy. I was able to see the " marlin " on my last bite it was mostly cheese . They left me a nasty taste in my mouth. We have been coming here just about 3 weeks in a row now. A friend from work called one night and suggested I try it. So we didn't waste any time. I believe we actually went that evening. I looked over some of the reviews on Yelp and some other pages and seen some not so favorable reviews. But I went in with an open mind. As we went in we were seated pretty quickly and given menus. It's really nice inside and clean. The staff is so friendly and we haven't seen any sign of an attitude or any servers dreading their job. The main gal that seems to be in charge is super nice. We have tried the carne asada plate and the shrimp tostadas so far. Tonight my wife had a Torta and I had the Tacos Dorados. I also had a michelada and my wife had a mangoanade which looked like a fruity kind of drink. They were both delicious. I can't say enough about this place. We have our go to spot here in Hanford. But we have a new spot now. It's less noisy and the people seem happier and friendlier. Kudos to El Pata Salada! read more

My husband and I went for dinner and ordered the oyster shooters which were absolutely delicious! We ordered the pork ribs in green salsa with nopales and the divorced eggs with potatoes. Both were just fine, they didn't give us any silverware or asked if we needed a refill on our waters. So definitely need to work on their customer service a bit longer. read more

The drinks were okay, not bad not good. While we waited for our food, 3 other parties came in. My boyfriend got his plate of crunchy tacos. However, it took my plate at least another 15 minutes! All the other tables who arrived after us, got all their food before me. Because my boyfriend has manners, he waited for me to get my food so we could eat together. By the time he was able to eat, his food was cold. I heard our waitress tell the kitchen they forgot a plate, but they told me my plate took longer. Even if that was the case, they should have cooked accordingly so the table gets the food at similar times. I got the papa loca with shredded beef that was watery and lacked flavor. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was kind of hit and miss. We ordered tacos texpaños, rice and beans, a torta, and Tres leches cake. The tacos were very good with lots of flavor and the sauces they came with has the perfect spice level and complimented the tacos perfectly. Rice and beans were pretty standard. The torta was nothing special and kind of boring. No real exciting flavors and the fries that came with it were floppy and sad. Now I'm very torn about the Tres leches cake. It was probably the best tasting Tres leches cake I've ever had. It had the perfect texture and the flavor was so good. BUT it also had that old fridge taste to it as if it's been sitting in a refrigerator absorbing all the odors in it. It was very offputting, and I ended up not finishing the cake because of that. I think if you're lucky enough to order the Tres leches cake the day they make it it would be worth it to try it. The two tacos, side of rice and beans, torta, and slice of cake came out to $34. I don't think that is a bad price, but I would expect the food to be a bit more flavorful and exciting at that price point. Overall, I would say it's a decent Mexican restaurant.
