I have narrow feet. Most stores do not stock narrow width shoes. In the past I have had good luck at Reyers. I went to the Sharon store and found out they had moved to Warren Ohio. I decided to go the extra distance and go to the Warren store. When I walked in a salesperson came up and asked if I needed help, so I showed her what I was interested in. Everything I said or asked for seemed to be an imposition for her. She was pretty rude. I asked if the ankle boots I tried on were made of leather - she just said "I would assume so"! Well, they were manmade uppers priced at $146. I told her I need time to think about the shoes. After some thought I decided she wouldn't be getting a commission from me. I try to shop local but I will order from Zappos before I go back to Reyers. read more

The worst store ever. 1st they claim to be the worlds largest shoe store which isn't true. I'm surprised they don't get sued for that. The shoe selection itself is awful. Hardly any name brands or sizes. I drove over an hour to get here and was so disappointed and just dumbfounded. This place would only appeal to people over 65 who are stuck in the 1980s. Very small children selection. Maybe the residents of this town like it but if you come from any type of city with taste and style go elsewhere. read more

This is supposed to be the nations largest shoe store I guess I was a little under impressed. Although the shoe store was big a lot of it was spaced out. They did have a decent clearance section that held over 1000 shoes. We received help immediately when we first came in. They carry all different brands of shoes from tennis shoes to dress shoes. I was able to find a pair of new balance tennis shoes as well as waterproof UGG boots. Surprisingly both pairs were on clearance and I got them in a very good price. My husband was able to get some dress shoes from Steve madden as well as some crocs. We spent about a good two hours in the store looking through shoes so they definitely have the variety but I guess I was expecting the store to be a little bigger than what I thought but It was only slightly bigger than a DSW. read more

If you have a difficult time finding shoes that fit, this is the place for you. I have a heel that measures a slim width, and at my toes I measure a medium. Finding anything other than a lace up shoe is impossible at places like DSW or Macy's. Today I left Reyers with 4 pairs of professional dress shoes. The patience of my saleswoman was endless. She took my issues as a personal challenge. I left with a pair of basic black pumps in both a lower heel and a higher heel, a lighter brown sling back , and a nude wedge. I actually had choices. We drove up from Pitttsburgh and it was well worth the trip. read more

Although this store is touted as the "World's Largest Shoe Store", the place is terrible. From my experience, if you don't look like you are able to spend a ton of money with them, they won't come over to help you until you seek them out. Once you get an associate, they seem downright bothered that you're taking up their time. The prices there are downright humorous. I've seen the same items at other stores for far less than they charge. Although the place is a staple in the local area, they need to take a hard look at themselves and start treating their customers in a way that will make people want to come back, not go somewhere else like I always end up doing. read more

I expected more from the "world's largest shoe store" As other reviewers mentioned, it does seem that places like DSW are larger. However, if you took into consideration that DSW has all of their shoes on display in all sizes and Reyers has them stored in the back, there is a possibility they have more of a selection. At the very least, they have a larger selection of hard to find sizes (I wear an 11 or 12). I found the sales clerk in the Rack Room to be very efficient at getting shoes for you to try on, but very pushy when it came to making decisions. On the other hand, my husband was looking for dress shoes and sneakers and the sales clerk in his area was professional and considerate. Overall, I found that many of the shoes were either over priced or the same price as any other shoe store. I may visit if I'm passing through Sharon and have time on my hands, but I would not make a special trip out there. They seem to have flyers for the store and billboards everwhere. Perhaps they should spend more money updating the store and inventory and lower their prices instead of on all that marketing. read more

I am not from this area but I had some special needs for shoes and was taken here. I was lucky enough to come across Frank and Renee. Two patient lovely people who tried to help me find the right shoes for my problem feet. They could not do enough for me and indeed after exhausting their time,thoughts and stock on me referred me to another place. How professional and what good customer service is that? My only regret was that I could not find a pair of shoes there. But the good thing is I will never forget what they did. Reyers used to be a great store. Now they're simply overpriced, snooty, and unreliable. Went to buy a pair of TOMS, they didn't have my size. That's fine. I had to track the girl who helped me, Kristen, down to ask if she could order my size, since she was too concerned with talking to her coworker. Normally I would've just walked out and came back at a different time, but TOMS were on sale. She called and had my size ordered, and told me I would get a call in about a week to come pick them up and pay. After four weeks, I decided to call and see what was up. The rude woman on the phone said an order had never been placed and argued with me. I spoke to a manager who told me they could put in the new order for me, but I would not get the discount I originally was supposed to get. This is RIDICULOUS. They said the most they could give me off was 3%, simply for my "inconvenience." Nope, don't worry about it. I'll order them only. Paying the $8 shipping from the TOMS website is worth not having to deal with these rude, incompetent people that work for Reyers. read more

I went to Reyer's today specifically because they advertise women's shoes up to size 14. When I asked about finding dressy flats in size 13, the associate looked at me like I was crazy and said if they have anything it would be in the back (the Rack). She also said that the shoes in the main show room only came up to size 10. The Rack did have a few selections in 13 and 14, but nothing special. We drove 90 minutes to get there and will not go back. I would suggest calling before going if you wear an odd shoe size. Square footage wise, this store is big, but certainly not better than Little's in Squirrel Hill or Gordon's at the Waterfront. Great selection but you have to find an associate if you want to try something on, which is ridiculous. Personally, I like to browse and try on several kinds of shoes but you can't really do that here as it's not fair to the associates or other customers. They are also extremely pricey. Saleswoman was rude telling me to shop in the rack room where if I wanted the rack room I wouldn't have asked for the specific selections I made. Give Reyers a break! It is a really a nice shoe store and it certainly used to have many more styles of shoes as the Winner used to have more clothing. The area has generally fallen on very hard times and, as I've been told by the clerk's in both stores, people just don't have the money to shop quite like they used to. Even though I moved from the area some years ago, I still enjoy stopping by and seeing what both stores have. I might not drive a 100 miles out of my way, but it's still worth a stop. read more

I was searching the web, looking for the best price on some Berks for my son's gf, when I came across Reyers with the shoes I was looking for at 50% off the lowest price I had found elsewhere. I have to admit that it took me several days to place the order thinking it "too good to be true." I researched the store over those days and, even though there are some negative reviews, decided to order since none of the negatives indicated any kind of scam activity. I can now say that I am glad I did, and, in fact, have already shared the experience with several other people! Price was great, shipping was fast, shoes were exactly as advertised, etc., etc. I'm not sure what others are complaining about, but I do know that I'll be visiting their site again since I wear Florsheim and Bostonians daily and I noticed that they also stock those along with the nursing clogs my wife wears for work. I can only assume the negative reviews either come from people who shopped when they were in a very bad mood or who work for DSW. I have a wide foot. I have tried to shop at that other shoe store many times while with friends and never bought a single pair, due to their lack of wide widths and their really strange shoes (ostrich feather trimmed winter boots--really??). I have never walked out of Reyers with fewer than 3 pairs. As for their prices--they were very, very good. In all fairness, I am only in Sharon, PA twice a year around holidays when they are having really good sales--but they are exactly that--really good sales. I like the personal attention (when was the last time a clerk actually helped you try on the shoes instead of throwing you a box and going off to the next customer?). I have never had any trouble getting assistance and the clerks have all been very professional. They have brands I cannot find elsewhere. I have no complaints about the store at all. read more
