Alright, so my pictures don't do this place justice. Probably because I started eating before remembering to snap it. The anticipation is real. We've coming here for lunch for a couple of years on Fridays and I must say that it has been getting more and more crowded. People have learned about this place. For a long time, the pork dishes were my go to... But then I was introduced to Taco Rico Fajitas Chicken by a colleague. This is one of the best dishes I've had for lunch. I tried the steak version once and it is not the same. Order the chicken. Get the queso dip for your chips,. Whatever you do, get some hot sauce! Love the service too. read more

My family and I have been coming here for YEARS and we love it! No matter what you get from the menu it will be delicious. They have been handling COVID very well and have a robust pickup service! I'm not sure if they take reservations but my parents and I have never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes to get seated and let me tell you the food is worth the wait. Rey Azteca feels and tastes like authentic Mexican food. It is one of the only Mexican restaurants that I've ever been to that has placed so much thought into the decor. You really feel like you've walked into a small town restaurant in the heart of Mexico. My date ordered the Fajitas Texano ($15) which came with tortillas and a salad. The food itself was cooked well and the meat had a lot of flavor. The only complaint was that it was a little dry and he had to order a hot sauce on the side. I ordered the Quesadilla Texano ($13) that had a fully stuffed quesadilla with a salad and rice. The rice was a little bland so I mixed up the salad with the guacamole and then it was great. The meal came with a complimentary bowl of nacho chips and salsa. Its great when you have to wait for the food to arrive. The restaurant has always been full when we went so don't expect the food to come out right away. This isn't going to be like Chipotle or Taco Bell so be prepared for ground beans and full pieces of meat. If you want real Mexican food then this is the place. read more

This is one of my wife's and my favorite restaurants... and for good reason! The food is amazing -- fajitas are on point, large portions, and the queso dip is the #1 way to start your meal. The decor is great: each booth is tall/private with unique art work, the building is colorful (inside and out) and there are cool trinkets hanging all over. Best mexican food around! When you try to find them look for a buiding that looks like Pizza Hut. They seat you and you are served some warm chips and salsa, a great start while you wait for the food. The wait after your order is not long and soon you are able to dive into Yum City. Food selection is big so it may take a few minutes to narrow it down. BYOB if you please, bring beer or wine. The cost of the meals are very resonable. Just ate at the new location on Street Road. So thrilled they have opened this second location. The interior is stunning! The staff couldn't be more pleasant. The food was fresh and fabulous. Authentic Mexican flavors, hot and delicious. Very attentive service. Even the manager came over to see how everything was. Karla was the sweetest and best server ever! She answered questions, explained menu items and made recommendations. She couldn't have been more patient with my octogenarian dining companions. She provided service that went over and above. Came here for lunch because I wanted good traditional Mexican tacos. I ordered tacos de carne azada (steak tacos). I received 3 soft tacos with the steak inside and nothing else. I asked where was the onion and cilantro that traditionally comes in tacos de carne azada. I was told that my order comes with a side of pico de gallo which contains cilantro, onion and tomato. My family and I just moved to the area and were looking for a good local Mexican restaurant. Rey Azteca seemed well rated and when we drove up had a seemingly full parking lot.. both great signs. We decided to give it a try. We walked in and there was a short wait. This was our first time here so we did not know the process and stood at the doorway waiting thinking a hostess would come get our name. Instead we were told (not very politely) to sign our names on the sign in sheet. The wait for seating was not long which was good. The place is not very big and it was very crowded so it made it feel it a bit cramped for my liking. The waitress came right over with chips and salsa and to get our drink order. We ordered our drinks and asked for queso as well. She returned quickly with drinks in hand, but no queso (that's fine maybe it wasn't ready yet). She asked if we were ready to order, I had not really had a chance to take a good look at the menu and noticed while we were waiting that there were specials on a board in the foyer area. I asked her about the specials and she couldn't really tell me what they were. I didn't see any specials menu or sign in the dining area. I told her I didn't really know what I wanted yet and she stood there and waited which made me feel pressured, so I just ordered fajitias for my kids and myself to split. My husband also ordered fajitas. Now the food: The chips weren't that good.. needed some salt. The fajitas were not the best I have ever had. There was a tiny little sprinkle of cheese on the beans (although I will say the flavor of the beans was good), I got steak shrimp and chicken fajitas, we got 4 shrimp which were not very big to begin with, but sliced to look longer (bigger). There was a fair amount of chicken and a little less steak than chicken. The protein pieces were just very small. There was about a 1/4 tsp of sour cream, no pico, and a very tiny little dollop of guac. all sitting on a very large mound of shredded iceberg. We each had one tiny little napkin and our waitress was very busy so she never really came back around to see if we needed anything. I tried to get her attention a few times, but that didn't work. Needless to say the dinner left us wanted better and more. We usually frequent Las Margaritas and I have to say I would prefer to drive the 4 miles up the road there before I would return here for another meal. read more

This place is a complete disappointment. The food and service are complete garbage. The decor is cute and I'm guessing done to distract you from the crappy food. I had the steak fajitas which were hands down the worst fajitas I've ever eaten. There entirely flavorless and we're beyond over cooked. Most of the stuff was just flat out burnt and stuck to the pan. They give you about a half a tablespoon each of bland guac, sour cream, and cheese on a bed of wet shredded lettuce...barf. My wife had enchiladas which were not horrible. They weren't good either. The portion of refried beans was more like a thick soup. How you could screw up refried beans is quite impressive. To top off this feast fit for only those without taste buds they brought out my sons quesadilla 15min after our dishes. Now I get it you clearly forgot to tell the kitchen but then another 15min to make a cheese quesadilla? Solid work ray azteca!! STAY AWAY!!!! learn from my mistake. read more

This is not a new operation and there is plenty more options of Mexican that food in this entire area, so they need to be more considerate of their customers especially that young girl at the front with their derogatory condescending attitude towards everyone but her own.. what does that tell you? The food is pretty good for the most part, nothing gourmet or anything like that, that's for sure. I for one do not like soggy enchiladas, as I don't understand why they feel the need to saturate it with sauces. Inflation is real, obviously, but they're really pushing it too far with their greed, especially when their website doesn't reflect the prices accurately. Rey Azteca is a delicious and fairly authentic Mexican restaurant in Warminster. I've been here twice - I've tried their enchiladas, mole sauce and guacamole, all of which are incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Their complementary chips and salsa are fantastic, and their lunch specials are a great deal for such a generous portion. The staff I've encountered have all been kind and hard working. It's true that the restaurant is pretty shabby, they don't serve alcohol, and it's not exactly in the nicest area, but whenever I'm looking for Mexican fare in Bucks County, it's hard to go wrong with Rey. read more

So I came here for lunch the other day and I was pretty impressed by the variety of lunch special options they had. My colleague was vegetarian and they had a vegetarian menu as well which I thought was very accommodating compared to restaurants where vegetarian options are an edit to an existing menu item. The ambience was good for a work lunch conversation and the servers didn't bother us too much. They were consistent with the food since both of us liked what we ordered. The lunch portion sizes were definitely larger than I expected and the chips and salsa were delicious as well. We actually almost finished a whole bottle of the salsa before our entrees arrived.
