Very chill & authentic atmosphere. The staff is kind and lovely. I brought my two year old and they offered to put a movie on while we dined, which I don't do much screen time but it was thoughtful. The food was well plated and was delicious. I high recommend the Chicken Tinga Tacos (if you like spicy). I usually door dash but I'm glad I stopped in. I'll definitely dine in more often. Ive been meaning to try this location as i love all the other locations, finally got to try, Parking is very convenient, right in front, unlike other locations And i was afraid that the place might not be as good since the star rating is only 3.5 on google and we got there on sunday evening at 6;30pm but nobody was dining in, but thankfully, shortly after, several more tables and togo people were coming in, We ordered two tacos and one burrito, complimentary margaritas All were very yammy! My coworker and I stopped in a half hour before close after a long work day, and they were more than happy to serve us. Jenny especially was very hospitable and helped us out with options. My friend got the enchiladas and I got the quesabirria tacos. Both of which were outstanding. Can't thank Jenny enough for being so generous and welcoming especially before they close. A nice n cozy place for a quick stop for dinner. It turned out better than I expected. The menu has additional flavors like tinga, Al pastor which I don't commonly find everywhere. And guess what, they have a complementary margarita upon dine in although they don't have a liquor menu. We can bring our own. They just renovated and have new management and it is wonderful. Freshly painted, new kitchen equipment and even the bathroom is much nicer. Prices did go up slightly, which I kind of expected due to all the upgrades. We love it here. Bring cash - it is cheaper if you pay cash. Try the Al Pastor or Barbacoa. So good. read more

My first visit won't be the last . I enjoyed the shrimp taco's although if I would have made them " supreme " it would have been way better. They were definitely not lacking shrimp, very happy that they were loaded with shrimp but there wasn't anything else? A few chopped onions and cilantro was the whole list of ingredients. No cheese , no tomato, no lettuce, no veggies,no sour cream.... Just shrimp, onions and cilantro...the beans were good , nothing amazing and the rice was also good. I really lived their green salsa , way above average as was the hot salsa. Take out service was really quick and they also have sone tables to eat there. read more

This used to be our favorite place. Not sure what happened but the portion sizes have been cut in half, prices raised and they no longer follow instructions when ordering online (i.e. asked for no sauce and they put sauce on). Not to mention the quality of the food is not at all what it used to be. I wonder if it has something to do with the "renovations" or new ownership... Unfortunately I don't think we'll be coming here nearly as much as we used to, or not at all. Such a disappointment! read more

We were surprised at how lackluster the food we were served turned out. There was a young boy who was our waiter, and he needed to be trained. I don't fault him for the poor food or service. We stopped in because of the El Limon in Ambler, always good food, and service. We won't be back to this one. The burrito lacked flavor, and we were disappointed. read more

Was looking forward to trying this location after eating at the one in Ambler. When we walked in it didn't even feel like a restaurant, let alone a Mexican one. It felt very unfinished with zero atmosphere. Not comfortable or welcoming. The food was unimpressive and left us wishing we had gone to the Ambler location. Good thing we tried that one first, otherwise we probably wouldn't have, after this experience. Maybe we'll give Flourtown a try. First time El Limon today. My wife and I are from New Mexico, and haven't found any decent Mexican food in PA until today! This is the 4th time ordering from El Limon and I always get the burrito but it has never been the same way twice. The sauce is either on the side or on top. sometimes with a garnish and sometimes without. On the website it says " We offer a 3% discount for cash" now to me that means if you pay cash they take 3% off the total. When i asked I was told no we charge 3% more to use credit. So, not a big deal but there needs to be a better more upfront way of doing business. So you know what to expect. Final word... The Burrito tasted good. read more

As soon as I walked in to pick up take out, I witnessed who I assume was either the owner or manager fight with a customer and tell her shes wrong. And then right after that customer walks out she answers the phone and tells another customer they are wrong. Shouldve known it was a sign of whats to come because the food was not good, and most of what we ordered was incorrect or missing things. Don't let the simple appearance fool you, this place can throw down on some delicious food! The staff is very welcoming and make you feel like you are in your Tia's kitchen. My personal go to favorite is the gueso barria tacos. The dipping broth that accompanies the tacos, has something magical to it that makes you want to find more thing to dunk into it. It's so good that we asked for some to go and they loving packed it up for us with some free rice to go. Plus, how can you go wrong with free margaritas???
