Our server was great, and was very patient with our slow proces of ordering drinks, appetizers, and the meal in relatively spaced out time periods. The Old Fashioneds were great, without too much of the muddle and soda and more emphasis on the booze -- still a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, though! I enjoyed the cheese curds and was very intrigued by their potato and cheddar crusted cod. I usually get the fried cod during a Friday Fish Fry, but this sounded somehow elevated. Alas, I didn't find it to provide any extra or new flavors, and there was nothing crispy about it. The breading was more like a mooshy exterior that didn't do a ton for the fish. The fish was cooked nicely, but the very high price was very much not warranted. I can get crispier and lower priced cod closer to home, so just can't justify the trip for the fish fry. But then there was dessert. I'm always looking to recreate a favorite (late) childhood dessert that involved brandy infused ice cream. I always ask at a Friday Fish Fry if they can make a Brandy Alexander that's thick enough you need a spoon. They claimed this to be the case, and they did not disappoint. This was a delicious Brandy Alexander and definitely worth a trip back. So, while I wasn't crazy about my overpriced, non-crispy fish fry, I still enjoyed myself and enjoyed my food... I'm glad we came and tried it out, and if you're looking for a nice supper club spot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
