It may cost a bit more than other companies but you get what you pay for, in my opinion. One of the few contractors I interviewed that offered any warranty and theirs is the best by far! Shout out to Aiden and crew for a super hard day's work to get the job done in 103 degree heat! Oh, and btw, the company I used was The Denver Fence Guy. We will surely be hiring this company in the future for more sections of our fence!

AURORA, CO. First i wanted to say i dont know why the…read morereview says Toronto under it, I live in Aurora, Colorado and this review is about THE FENCE GUY IN AURORA, CO 80013. This is the short story in general. The fence guy put up a fence for us last summer 2023, They used very terrible quality wood, very bad. Also MANY slates were also split on the top and bottom from where they screwed in the slates, rotted knots, opened pores wood meaning not flat smooth, sealed and solid, terrible quality, cant believe they even put it up. So a few weeks later i called them to tell them about it. One of the owners came and looked at it and he seen what i seen and said they will replace ALL slates. So they came yesterday on 5-17-2024. To replace the pickets. As the two workers were unscrewing the slates i started to notice more bad quality wood on the rails they used and also one of the posts had a rotted through knot on one side, I did not get to see most of the rails or posts. So i wanted to show one of the guys these things and he started to say YOUR WASTING OUR TIME. (( I THOGHT TO MYSELF ACTUALLY ITS THE EXACT OPPOSITE, YOUR ACTUALLY WASTING MY TIME. )) So then that same guy called one of the owners and the worker told the owner that as were taking off the slates were starting to see more imperfections ( not sure what he meant by imperfections ) So i got on the phone with the owner and right away he was aggressive and telling me WERE LOSING MONEY ON THIS JOB, like it was my fault or issue, and i would try to talk and he kept going so finally i said are you going to let me talk sir and he said yes. So i told him. That the pickets are on my side and the damage bad quality wood of the rails is facing my yard and i wouldn't have been able to see this until the slates were taken off. So i got off the phone with the owner and i noticed a rotted out knot on one fence post that had actually fallen out or they put it up like that either way it was rotted on one of the corners all the way through. So i said i need to take more pictures of this stuff because i cant trust these people and i said the wood was garbage and it was thats why the owner wanted to replace all the slates. So the other worker was so angry and enraged within that he actually stopped unscrewing the slates and started to rip them down actually snapping them in half ((( I wonder if that caused damage to the rails ))). Then a lady owner came by, she apologized and then began to sort of maybe down play or make it seem like it wasn't as bad, not sure how to describe it. Then she actually had the gull to ask me if im ever satisfied, i'm thought to myself later on. Yes when you use quality products and do the job right. But its kind of funny because the first owner wasn't satisfied with it either and the lady owner told me she had her house painted and she had to have them come back, so i said to her well i can ask you the same thing are you ever satisfied maam? So this is the experience in general not every single word is on here but i have done my due diligence and read this three times to make sure the information that is on here is correct factual and not sensationalized. I'm a born again Christian man glory to GOD and JESUS CHRIST only and being a Willful premeditated liar and deceiver is no longer a part of my life. I have no personal issues with the business or individual's, nothing against them, and everything forgiven on my end but my experience needed to be known, not saying they do this to everyone or to most but it did happen to me. So just beware that this is possible and it can happen because it happened to us.

NOTE: I don't generally post reviews and I seriously debated about writing this one, but the work was SO BAD that it had to be redone, and people should be aware of the work they can expect if they hire Golding & Golding Hardscaping/Landscaping. REVIEW: Bryan gave an estimate for two jobs (a bird landing and a xeriscaping project). He didn't ask a lot of questions, which had me questioning his level of expertise, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so when I received his reasonable quote, I decided to hire him to do the landing. If that went well, I would hire him to do the xeriscaping job. Bryan estimated the job would take him 4 hours to complete and expected to be done by noon that day (6/25/2025). Although it took him 2 full days to complete the work, he did not change his estimate, which I did appreciate. He laid a new gravel base, and compacted it with a gas-powered plate compactor, but did NOT use screed rails--which most professionals use--to level the sand. When asked about leveling the sand, he said he "levels as he goes." I should have asked him to level the sand, but I accepted his response and let him continue. He completed laying pavers for the 5' x 5' section on the Day 1. The last 3 sections would be laid on Day 2 and would be finished with polymeric sand. We had a very heavy rain after the Day 1 and since polymeric sand is water-activated, I texted Bryan my concerns about how that would affect the polymeric sand application. We exchanged a few texts and his final response was, "I know what I am doing and this is what I do for a living. Can I just have some space to get the work done please. Thank you." Since he clearly had no interest in addressing my concerns and he obviously didn't appreciate my questions, I should have fired him then, but the work was half done, so I let him continue. We also had a brief, somewhat confrontational phone call in which he again ignored my concerns. By the time he finished, I just wanted him gone, so I gave the landing a cursory inspection, paid him via Zelle, and walked him out. It wasn't until after he left, that we really inspected the work. It was AWFUL! One section sloped up, another section sloped down, and one section was mounded (pics attached). While it wasn't highly visible to the eye, it was like walking on an undulating fun house walkway. The polymeric sand wasn't compacted into the pavers to ensure that the joints were completely filled, so cracks were visible around most of the perimeter pavers, one of the pavers was cracked, and the pavers along the perimeter of the largest section were crooked. He didn't blow off the excess sand to prevent it from hardening on the surface. I should have contacted Bryan and had him redo the pavers (or demanded a refund), but he clearly DIDN'T know what he was doing, and wasn't open to questions. Since I didn't want to deal with him ever again, I tore up the three smaller sections, leveled the sand using screed rails, and reset the pavers myself. I left the larger section alone, but it will eventually need to be redone. So, now I'm out the $530 I paid to Bryan, plus the additional cost of buying more materials to do the job correctly. Not to mention two days of my own time redoing the work of a hired contractor. Needless to say, I did not hire him to do the xeriscaping project and I would strongly advise against hiring him for any technical projects that involve leveling or patio pavers.

This review reflects my personal experience regarding work performed at my property and my…read moreinteractions with A+ Fence and its staff between November 18, 2025 and March 9, 2026. The statements contained in this review are accurate and truthful. I have retained documentation supporting the events described below, including text messages, emails, photographs, and video recordings. A+ Fence initially appeared to be a suitable contractor; however, the overall experience involved multiple issues that left me dissatisfied with both the outcome and the process. I selected A+ Fence after researching several companies. Their pricing was mid-range, and they confirmed they could complete my requested scope of work. Unfortunately, issues arose during multiple stages. One issue involved landscaping adjacent to the fence line. I have a large juniper bush near the installation area and requested it be trimmed slightly to allow space for the fence. In my view, the trimming went far beyond what was necessary. Branches well above fence height were cut, leaving the bush sparse. Because juniper branches do not regrow, this requires a new landscaping solution. I retained before-and-after photos. I requested compensation and was offered $300. Additional issues involved the gate installation. I specifically requested a locking mechanism, but it was not installed initially. After the crew left, I contacted the company via email. A follow-up appointment was scheduled, but no one arrived and I was not notified. I later learned the crew had gone to another project, leaving my project incomplete longer than expected. When rescheduled, the crew arrived about three hours late. It was dark and around 30°F in Denver. The latch was installed, but the gate was spray-painted in conditions unsuitable for painting, resulting in an uneven, blotchy finish. An employee gave me spray paint and suggested I complete touch-ups myself, which I declined. I documented the paint condition with photos. I contacted the owner, who returned and repainted certain areas. Afterward, the gate intermittently failed to latch due to misalignment with the post. I recorded video evidence and shared it with the owner. He returned and made adjustments, but the issue soon returned. On January 1, 2026, the owner inspected the gate again. At that moment it latched properly, so he declined further investigation. I explained the intermittent nature and prior adjustments. He stated he believed nothing was wrong and suggested I may have interfered with the gate. I disagreed and requested the root cause be addressed. During this visit, the owner became visibly upset, said he was tired of dealing with me, called me a "spoiled millennial," and told me to "fuck off." When I said I intended to leave a review, he said he would sue me. This interaction was captured on my home security camera. Because of this, I documented the ongoing issue. Throughout January and early February 2026, I recorded 14 videos and took photos showing the misalignment. On January 30, I submitted a warranty repair request via email with documentation. I received no response. On February 6, I followed up by phone and left two voicemails. After no response, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding both the owner's conduct and the lack of response. During the BBB process, the owner did not apologize and again referenced possible legal action if I shared my experience. I ultimately voided the two-year warranty and hired another company to fix the issue, as I no longer had confidence in A+ Fence. I requested $500 to offset repair costs. A+ Fence paid the $500, and the BBB complaint was closed as resolved. Based on my experience, I was dissatisfied with the workmanship, communication, and professionalism. Missed appointments, delays, workmanship concerns, and the final interactions made the process unnecessarily stressful. If making the decision again, I would choose a different company, even at a higher cost.

    Payless Fence

Absolute. Nightmare…read more I got 5 estimates on a complete fence replacement. Ended up choosing Payless because Ben seemed very personable and had good Google reviews... I learned pretty quickly that I had been duped, and not to always trust Google reviews. There were multiple changes to the start date. Originally 4/21, then 4/23, then 4/28, then 4/30, then 5/5. Communication was poor at best - mostly, it was only when I reached out to him that I learned it was delayed yet again. He offered stump removal as a service for $150/hr. He showed up with a small grinder that was in no way adequate for the large stumps and two day laborers who were in no way skilled to do it. Grinder kept smoking and cutting out, and the guys were trying, but could only shave off parts of the stumps little by little. Ben had left, so I called him and told him to have them stop. He came back and was extremely agitated and argumentative. I asked him to calm down and said we needed to be able to have a normal conversation, but he wouldn't... Why would he bring the wrong equipment and guys who didn't know what they were doing? "That's all Home Depot had," and yelled, "I'm a FENCE guy, NOT a stump grinder guy!" His behavior made me extremely uncomfortable... So much so that I asked if I could just pay him for the one section of fence he took down and cancel the contract. He sneered, "Go ahead and cancel it, but you're not getting your deposit back." Mind you, not one bit of material had been delivered at this point, even though he had said he'd be bringing it and never did... Later, I received a text demanding $225 for the grinder rental before he would proceed with any work. I paid it (regrettably) -- I just wanted him to finish the work and be done... I paid to have the stumps ground by Davey Tree Service. Once he resumed (3 days later) he arrived far later in the day than he said he would - this would prove to be an ongoing issue. There was no fence between me and my neighbors, and I asked him to let me know when he'd be coming so they could keep their dog inside - he didn't do that, either... All of the delays resulted in my having to take additional days off work and cancel a planned vacation. Days later, I finally had ONE section of fence done. The day he was to start on another section, he texted me to say he was "Still figuring out post situation. Going have to go a different route and dig and set 10 ft posts." When I questioned this, as the contract stated that 12 foot posts would be used, he replied, "Also I have to weld up 2 more feet onto 10 ft posts since we are going according to contract, because I'm not spending what they're asking for them." Total breach of contract!! What he did with the $9,000 I gave him, I'll never know... It sure wasn't used to buy materials for my fencing. At this point, I'd had enough - told him not to come back until he heard from me. I needed to speak with my attorney, for sure... I also started doing a bit more digging into Payless Fence (I SHOULD have done this before I hired him and gave him a ton of money - kicking myself for this everyday...) His website had been taken down (he had one when I hired him,) he has NO business license and his LLC is delinquent. Wondering if he's gone out of business, left town, or ??? The old fencing had just been piled up in the alley behind my neighbor's. I asked when he'd be taking it away, heard nothing, texted him back 3 days later, and he said he'd be coming to get it that weekend. He never did. So I called 1-800-GOTJUNK -- $980 to have it hauled away. AND - no pressure-treated rot board on the one section he did, as in the contract. AND he didn't install a gate to replace the old one he tore down, which resulted in a clear opening from the street into the backyard. So I had to hire someone to build and install a temporary gate immediately for security purposes. I'm now in a credit card dispute through my credit union, have sent him a demand letter for what he owes me, and will pursue it in Small Claims Court if there is no resolution. I will update here.

I apologize for this review…read more Apparently the Fence builders did not, in fact, work for Payless Fence.
