I walked into this lighting store, which is so much more, with my broken lamp in hand and was greeted by the most charming big smile I've ever seen on a stranger. I had chosen 2 or 3 shops at random to get an idea of the repair cost and location convenience. Don, the owner said he wasn't quite sure, likely around $20.00 but he'd be reasonable. I thought that was an honest response. Last Wednesday to my surprise Don fixed my lamp before I finished looking at the most beautiful collection of unusual lamps, fixtures, pieces of art, vases and then I realized there was a staircase! Don's wife was there and she is as lovely and sweet as one can imagine. Don had a story about each piece in his collection. I feel the need to say it that way because of how unusual this store is. The combination of charm you'll find in the owners matches the joy you'll have in the experience visiting this jewel of a shop. Reward Lighting went out of their way to fix a bad socket in an antique oil lamp that had been wired for electricity 75 years ago. In 2005 reward modified the socket from mogul base to a standard base. Two weeks ago they changed out the socket once again as it seemed to have corroded. When the three-way bulb did not make contact, and it became a two-way lamp they tried to extend the socket. When that failed they said they could not make the adjustment, and did not charge my wife who had just picked up the lamp. When she brought it home, I said, "it was working as a three-way light before." So I went back to Reward. The owner said, "lets try another bulb." So she put in a Sylvania in place of the GE and it worked. The Sylvania had a slightly longer stem. That did the trick, and she still would accept no money. I felt guilty as they had replaced the socket and given me a new working bulb so I insisted that she take my money! She did. I am a very happy customer. read more

I brought in a floor lamp for repair and I assumed it needed to be re-wired. I met Don and explained to him that my lamp was constantly going off and on and I had to jiggle the cord in order to make it stay on. Don quickly assessed the problem, removed the old switch, inserted a new switch and tested the lamp and the problem was resolved. Don explained to me that my lamp did not need a rewiring which would have been a little pricey and charged me $5.00 for the part (switch). Don and his wife own this Lighting and Repair shop and they are good, honest people that not only know their craft, but they love what they do. 20 years ago someone cracked the Tiffany lampshade on a Tiffany-style lamp which was part of a group of lamps I own(ed). I kept the lamp, though the sockets did not function anymore. A month ago I finally found a Tiffany style shade in perfect condition at a Good Will, and went looking online for someone to replace the sockets. I found Reward Lighting, and, thankfully, they are also open for a few hours on Saturday, since I work 40 hours a week, and can't leave my desk. They promised a one week turnaround, and delivered. They were also reasonable. My lamp has come back to life again, thanks to Catina and Don at Reward Lighting. I also enjoyed looking at what they have in their showroom. read more

After viewing about 1000 chandeliers online and in stores I found the perfect one at Reward Lighting. The chandelier is stunning, and I felt the price was very reasonable. Justin not only sold me the fixture, he actually created it from a frame and antique crystals. Max replaced the candle sleeves and installed the bulbs. Both Justin and Max delivered the chandelier painstakingly wrapped and in perfect condition. After two hours of work by these experts, it is now hanging in the dining room. Reward Lighting is superb. I brought two old floor lamps into them and DON met me and carried the two non-working lamps into the store. He plugged them in right there in the entrance and worked on them. One, the oldest one, he got to work right there on the spot and I loaded it right back into my SUV to carry home. There was no charge. The other one I left with a ticket for the repair on the dimmer switch on the cord. I'll go out of my way to use Reward Lighting if I ever need more lamp repair work. I had a wonderful experience with owners Don & Catina and also Tim, the repair maven. My metal and wood chandelier was badly bent from an overseas move. A competitor gave me a very high price, with no guarantees. Don was friendly, knowledgable and very professional. Got back the chandelier (he and Tim carefully lovingly delivered it) in perfect condition - just like new! I hired Reward Lighting to repair the foot pedal switch on my modern arc lamp. The switch proved to be very intricate to repair but none the less they were able to fix it enough for the lamp to turn on to one of its original 3 light settings. Since they were unable to fix the switch in its entirety they didn't charge me. I was really impressed by their professionalism. I needed assistance on an old lamp my grandmother decorated with shells. When I tried to rewire it myself, the wire came out. I couldn't do it myself because I couldn't get the wire through the two holes. :-) I called Reward Lighting and Don said stop by. He fixed it while I waited.
