It was my first time ever going to a cycling class. I had no idea I had to wear special shoes during the class. Luckily my friend told me to bring socks! I was shocked by how many people showed up to the class. Now I know why it's so important to the business that you cancel if you cannot make it because people are put on a waiting list. Location was easy to find and very clean and neat inside. They have a clipboard at the check in desk where first timers have to initial and sign a waiver for their first class. In exchange for your keys you get a pair of cycling shoes. The new instructor was so kind to help me set up my bike and click my shoes into the pedals. On the bike there is a bottle holder that was able to hold my 40oz hydro flask which was easy to grab during the class. I like that they provide towels and weights. My favorite part of the class is the music selection. It was so upbeat and the instructors really motivate you! They even welcome you at the beginning of class and basically introduce you to everyone which made me feel super welcome.

Night club on the bike! The spin bikes are nice. Easy to stand and ride. Smooth. Staff is nice! You can rent shoes if needed. So the instructor had good energy. Sound system is good. Lighting is of the night club nature. It was a fun ride. The suggested ride might not be healthy for all people. There was a fair amount of core work included in this ride however could be hard on some knees or hips depending on how in shape you are. I would urge you to know your body. I did like the cool towels at the end. Nice fragrance, refreshing. Easy to book on line. The staff does recognize new comers. There is a discount for your first visit.

Ok, ok, ok. I have been to three classes now! My generous colleague & fellow yelper, Kelly R. got me the 3 for $30 pass for my birthday in January and I have finally been moving through them. The first class you do ever is $8, followed by a $16 drop-in fee after that. If you don't have cycling shoes (I do not), you have to rent them there for $2. Let me give a breakdown of different aspects of (r)evolve: - price: one class drop in $16, 5 class pack $75, 10 class pack $140, one month unlimited $130 ($115 for student). I have attached a photo of the pricing for reference. So, this "gym" is expensive, but you are paying for an experience, customer service, and ambiance. - the workout: holy hell! I have been spinning now for ~5 years at a variety of different gyms, with different instructors, etc. the workout is dynamic and incorporates arm and dance movements and focuses less on your RPM and more about your energy level throughout the workout. Music is amazing, instructors are hardcore, and the ambiance is unbeatable- so. much. fun. My heart rate gets up to 195 during class! - booking of classes: can download the free MINDBODY app, and search "(r)evolve" you have to include the parentheses! You can book classes easily from there or just go online if you're not into the app! There are waitlists commonly, but I have gotten off of the waitlist the one time I opted to sign up for the waitlist. Overall, this place is awesome. I wouldn't necessarily recommend for a beginner spinner, as the moves can be tough and I can tell this is something that requires muscle build up and memory. Everyone is more than willing to help you, IMO you need some prior spin experience to enjoy. I belong to a cheaper gym $30/mo. and figure I can buy a class pack when I feel like it to supplement! You don't have to use your class packs immediately which is nice. I figure I'll need to invest in some spinning shoes if I choose to continue going on a semi-regular basis.

Sooooooo amazing…read more This gym seriously checks all the boxes. First off--really awesome classes here. Like, not just filler classes... actual good workouts that leave you feeling it. The space itself is super CLEAN with a really nice aesthetic. It's big, doesn't feel cramped, and there's a huge variety of options--everything from classes to hydro massage, red light, tanning, etc. You can literally make a whole self-care day out of being here. I'm obsessed with the Studio Red class--major asskicker in the best way. Total sweat factory you will walk out drenched but feeling accomplished. Today I tried the new infrared heated yoga flow with Keli and wow... complete heaven. Such a good balance of challenging and relaxing. I left feeling reset. No need to lug around a mat ! they have plenty to use & assigned numbered spots for you and your mat - Huge perk. Honestly, this place just hits. Good sound systems throughout , Great energy, great workouts, and tons of options depending on your mood. The only 2 downsides is the parking lot , Horrible location & unsafe at night . Do not leave valuables in your car . The other is the staff , they are EXTREMELY pushy and salesy so be warned if that's not your jam .

Today, as we were departing, he attempted to repeat the behavior while we were walking to our vehicle. Given the lack of seriousness displayed by management in addressing this matter, I believe it is futile to continue reporting. We have been members of other gyms nationwide, and this is the first time we have encountered such an individual who feels compelled to bother and demean other patrons, based on their perceived sexuality, while they are exercising to boost his own self-esteem. This gym is not a safe environment for exercise, and we will not be renewing our membership. Please exercise caution when working out in this facility, as his behavior may be indicative of his overall demeanor.

I only ever use the weights, never tried out any of the other amenities nor used the locker rooms or bathrooms. Boundless options for equipment, never really too busy (when I moved to the U of A rec center I was shocked to learn it was normal for people to wait in lines for equipment!). One star off because cancelling my membership was like fitting a camel into the eye of a needle.

They blame the rubber mats and tell me they just blow under the rack. It smells like rotting flesh, they refuse to do anything about it. Ive never complained on this app ever, but it's disgusting how much the employees dont care about their gym's hygiene. The young janitor is great, but thats not his cleaning area according to management, their night janitor is not being properly informed. Its been 2 months now before I decided to post this as its only gotten worse. You can see so much dust and years of filth on lat pull down machines near the seating, barbell seat areas, mats aren't cleaned near the squat racks. Management just smiles and nods their heads and just focuses on getting the monthly schedule done each month.

When snowbirds are here you can't really get into classes ( most are great) unless you set alarms for yourself and sign up a couple of days ahead. The place skews older and I although there are high school kids there in the afternoons it's not age diverse. Plus side is it's very forgiving and a great place to start weight lifting and more. There are paid programs for that and I think that would be worth it. I belong to a few other places so it's not a problem. I really like yin yoga there and trx . If this is going to be your main place you will be frustrated.

I discovered the Tucson Jewish Community Center after they hosted the Hot Cocoa Run 5K (hands down one of the funnest, most vendor-packed races I've ever done ), and let me tell you--walking into the JCC feels like stepping into a whole other world. This place is HUGE and has everything. They gifted a week pass in our swag bags from 5k and I fully leaned in--and I'm so glad I did. First off, the community + programming here is next level. I got to participate in pottery and ceramics classes (SO fun and surprisingly legit), and I love that they partner with local creatives and groups. It gives the whole place a collab, community-driven feel that I'm always looking for. On the fitness side--they're not playing around. I took multiple classes, and their cycle class (aka performance ride ) was actually really solid. Great energy, great programming. I also hit a strength-based class that delivered, and the gym floor itself is super clean, spacious, and not overcrowded (major win). The crowd is also refreshingly diverse in age, which I loved--it truly feels inclusive. And can we talk about the Cafe at the J... because YES. Tons of vegan options , actually flavorful, and super affordable. Not your typical "gym cafe" situation at all. Beyond that, this place is basically a mini campus--tennis, pools, art spaces, events, rentals, and even traditional Jewish baked goods (fresh bread, hello ). They also host a TON of events--like so many it's hard to keep up--so definitely check their calendar because there's always something happening. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. Whether you're going for fitness, arts, community events, or just to explore something new in Tucson--this place is a whole experience.
