From my first visit, Brice and all the other coaches were warm and welcoming, creating an uplifting and supportive atmosphere inside CrossFit Fixx: I always leave this space feeling so much better than before I walked in. While I am an accomplished athlete in the sports of distance running and triathlon, I am far from a "crossfitter" and, as a slight female who can't do a pull-up let aloe a muscle-up, I've often felt judged or out-of-place in similar "hard-core" gym and fitness environments. However, this IS NOT at all what it's like at CrossFit Fixx! Forget the stereotypical "gym bro" slamming heavy bars around, or the soul (and stomach!) destroying workouts that leave you puking or passed out. Instead, CrossFit Fixx makes fitness, specifically CrossFit and weightlifiting, accessible to all no matter your age, shape, size, fitness level, and experience (or lack thereof). From children and teens, to working moms and seniors, the coaches at CrossFit Fixx tailor training to your needs with a variety of classes, group and personal training options. If you are looking for a workout that is varied with supportive coaches and members, then CrossFit Fix is a great option. I started at CrossFit Fix about 3 months ago and I have never done CrossFit before! What I love is that there are modifications that can be employed to meet your needs The coaches are excellent at demonstrating the options and you work at your own skill level. The environment is encouraging, not competitive. Being almost 60 and having no strength, it was a goal for me to build my strength and endurance so I can actively enjoy life! I'm thrilled that I can now hang from a bar and do Kip swings, so this is one indication that I am on my way to reaching my goals. I have also lost weight and reduced my body fat, resulting in my clothes fitting better. I think what I am proudest of is that before a class, I think 'I can't do this' and then I do it! read more

If you're looking for a Crossfit gym on the East side of town, look no further. Large facility, up to date and new equipment, and effective programming. The gym is always clean and the memberships are reasonable. The people that I have met at FIXX have become incredible friends in my life. Everyone cheers one another on, and not once has this place been intimidating. There are some amazing athletes at FIXX, however no one brings an ego or intimidation, and they are all super humble human beings. The gym itself and the community of people is what made me fall in love with this place. Not to mention the fun boot camp activities every other Sunday outside of the gym at a local brewery. $10 gets your butt kicked at boot camp with your friends, and your first beer for free! Crossfit FIXX is clean, well equipped and most importantly fun. The Bootcamp classes are led by a well qualified instructor who are keen to make sure you don't hurt yourself but are challenged. They always suggest modifications based on your ability and range of motion. There are 4 main instructors, who each take a at least one class every week and each Instructor has a different philosophy. For instance, Doug will design a program to "stress" a body part be it arms or legs with high volume, while Tawnee will focus on a higher tempo more cardio focused workout. A welcoming and professional gym with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I took classes and exercised on my own at Crossfit Fixx over the winter in 2017-2018 while training for my professional bicycle racing career and had a great experience. Brice and the other trainers were very helpful in teaching me the basics of Crossfit and making sure my form was correct and I was getting the most out of my workouts. The community they have built around the gym is also inspiring. Everytime I took a class all of the attendants introduced themselves to me since I was new. If I lived in Tucson year round I would go to Crossfit Fixx as much as I could! read more

She's not only a fantastic listener--the kind people pay big bucks to have--but she also has the knowledge, passion, and life experience to provide feedback that's actually helpful! Together, we identified some of the things that get in the way of my goals, and she provided solution suggestions that were uniquely tailored to my situation. I went there for a month 3 times a week using a Groupon that dropped the price down about 3 times. It was hard, but I really enjoyed it. Don't have much to compare to, this is the only cross fit place I've trained at, but comparing to say my expirience at Body Zen boot camp class, this is way better. They explain to you how to do the exercise, you pick your own load and pace, which is very important when you are new, and if you are out of breath, you can take a short break to recover, unlike, for example, some stupid Body Zen boot camp. read more

I have been going to this box for the last couple years. Beyond all the obvious gains to be had through challenging yourself physically (which will happen here), what really stands out is the professionalism and genuine interest in your overall mental and physical well-being that comes from the staff. Everyone is friendly and motivates you to meet your fitness goals without undue pressure. It truly is one of the activities (especially in this challenging time) that I look forward to each week. This place is incredible! It's clean, the equipment works great, and the open-style gym and natural light really makes you feel inspired to work out hard. Love this place! This is the only workout program I have ever stuck with - the programming is awesome and the group atmosphere is all about encouragement. Crossfit Fixx provides a great gym and a fantastic workout. The athletes are amazing - some are great, others are just beginning - but everyone cheers each other on. I have been going to Crossfit Fixx for 1 year now. The coaches are great and really care about good form, whether its squats or working with the bar, kettle bells, or dumbells. They have gotten to know my abilities and push me to exceed my previous weight which I like because I may not do it myself. I always say, "I can't believe I just did that". Classes are well organized, and the coaches are great, very knowledgable, helpful and push you to do your best. Other members are friendly. Initially I tried out Crossfit Fixx because of its location; having never done "CrossFit" before I was intimidated about trying, but once I entered the building I felt at ease. I started personal training with Heiselle recently and it's been amazing. I have movement limitations and various injuries that pop up and Heiselle is very quick in providing graded versions of exercises.
