Years ago when we decided to install PV we chose Revolusun due to them being a well-reputable local business that put customers first. The process was seamless and we were very happy. From this experience we chose them again when we decided to have split AC's put in. They were Mitsubishi diamond contractors which meant 10 year warranty on parts and labors (listed on their website as well). Everything went as planned and we were very satisfied with their work and referred many of our friends. How have times changed. In early September one of our splits stopped working. I called to have someone come and see what was wrong and spoke to the receptionist. She transferred me to the person in charge of air conditioning however she did not answer so I left a message. Several days past and no return call so I called back. The receptionist tried to answer my questions and told me that we needed to pay $180 to have someone diagnose the problem. They were extremely fast to send me the bill because you have to pay upfront before they will schedule you. When it came to scheduling they didn't even have the professionalism to call me and see my availability, they sent me an email stating the date and time. I had to take off from work. The day of the appointment, about 1.5 weeks later they spent 10 minutes and said that it was leaking and couldn't repair the problem, then they left. Weeks went by while we waited in limbo and the company made no attempt to call me and explain what happened or the next steps. It took me making several calls trying to get answers. Long story short they said that they changed their policy on compressor replacement and that labor wasn't covered anymore, our cost would be $1800 and of course we have to pay upfront. At this point we were so fed up with them and wanted this to be over with so we agreed and scheduled the repair. Today they were scheduled to do the work. When he came he said that he couldn't do it because of moisture in the air and that we had to reschedule. Now over 2 months later we are still waiting, once this is over, we will never be using them again for anything. read more

In the first year, I would have given RevoluSun 5 stars. They were professional, friendly, responsive. Now a couple years in, we've had to call in service so often that I've lost count. They seem disorganized and take weeks even a month to fix issues. Ordered parts then lost parts. Checked what parts need to be ordered, then show up again weeks later because supposedly the first person didn't send the correct information for parts to be ordered. Delays and glitches CONSTANTLY. I don't think our entire system has been fully functional for more than a month in the last year. It's always the inverter, micro inverters, batteries, software. We've lost probably thousands in lost solar service at this point because the system is always going down and it takes so long for them to show up to fix them. They just came out to fix a software issue where our batteries weren't working. It worked for a couple weeks, and now our entire PV system is down- solar panels, batteries, everything. They aren't coming for at least 3 weeks. It's so frustrating to see the summer sun shining all day while we pay for energy from the grid. I am giving 2 stars because the workers that come are friendly. I would update this review if they improve their service time. read more

I don't know where to start here. At the initial installation, setup, walkthrough, and running for the past 5 years: 5 stars. They are good. Our first support issue was resovled when it would rain: we'd have no solar power. Come to find out one of the Panasonic Panels arc'd and got removed from the loop, causing the issue (I live on a hill, so there are no trees, no aeral fireworks, nothing that could have caused the spark/arc). They got a replacement panel and fixed it quickly. Fast forward to now: During the Kona Low (3/16/2026), our Neurio gateway went down and is not able to communicate with the Tesla Gateway. Therefore at night, our 2x Powerwalls will not discharge. So I opened a support ticket and to this day (4/30/2026), we are still operating only gathering and then exporting solar during the day. At night, guess what: We are stuck drawing from HECO. - 4/2/2026: I get an email that they can come out on 4/15 (1 whole month after the ticket has been open). -4/15/2026: The Techs arrived, and tried to diagnose, and after an hour: the Neurio gateway is down and cannot be resolved and has to be "ordered." -4/17/2026: I had to send a follow up email on 4/17, the response: "the replacement Neurio in in an Ordered state." -4/24/2026: 7 whole days after: "The replacement part was already at warehouse and ready for installation." So I totally understand that the system is over 5 years old, so a service charge to replace the Neurio is required: Fine. I worte back that same day: send the invoice and i'll pay it. -4/29/2026: I asked to send the invoice and get scheduled. -4/30/2026: I get an email finally: it's been paid and they are processing the installation... Timeline is 3-4 weeks out. So if this actually pans out: it's a 2+ month turn around time to get service/help. No offense to the team, and maybe you all have a better experience than me, but I am not a fan, and I hope that someone takes note and does something about this. I'm not an electrical engineer, however I'm in IT and troubleshooting issues is my job. I specifically talked to Tesla support who confirmed the Neurio is not connecting, and they work directly with Revolusun, so Revolusun having the part available at the warehouse & NOT bringing it in the first place is unacceptable. You plan for the best, but expect the worse. Instead, I'm paying $300 for a new Neurio + 2+ months of HECO bills. This bring the ROI of Solar back into the red. read more

I sent a few follow-up emails to Scott that still went unanswered, and a secondary request submitted through the company website to pair us with a new representative over a month ago has also yielded no response. The panels I could easily see looked brand new after the cleaning but the panels that were harder to see wasn't as clean. LIFE SAVER! I purchased a BLUETTI Elite 400 portable generator from RevoluSun yesterday, and wouldn't you know it--at 5:00 a.m. this morning, we lost power! Update 1 July 2026 We are completely satisfied with our solar and battery system from RevoluSun! Since the system was monitored for months, we've had ZERO issues or concerns. I was also informed that no work could be done during 2025, but I was still in need of a quote and additional information for planning purposes. I double checked the email correspondence, and at no time was I notified that my contractor could remove the panels without voiding our warranty. I was simply ghosted until I posted this review. I will add that the day following this posting, I got the answers I was looking for. Since then Christian has been very responsive and helpful. On a scale of 1 to 10, RevoluSun is a 12. I have 3 PV systems on different properties -- 2 with battery back-ups and one without. During the recent storms, our HECO power was out for 33 hours, but the RevoluSun system performed like a champ -- without a flicker and no interruption in power. The other system with battery back-up went down almost immediately. Wish I'd known about RevoluSun before I installed that other one using a different vendor. read more

It's ok to disagree. No worries. I was just at my whit's end about not receiving any call regarding my concerns so alas we end up with yelp - I left cell phone number many times multiple emails no call. I'm glad owner responds quickly here. We paid the bill - I just don't agree with it. Again no problems with company installing solar. In the past 2.5 years we had to pay for an inverter that went out that wasn't covered under warranty - $2500 - it is what is is. For the current issue - system fell off the wall (see picture) - paid over $4000 for it to be repaired. Appreciate the repair and it is currently working. I was told it was going to go on another wall but went up in the same place. It didn't, so I wanted to discuss this privately as it might happen again. Update from last review made on Revolusun 05/30/2025 Thank you for allowing me to choose a senior repair tech that had been to my home in Kailua before. He came with lap top computer from Dell. He came with a Wi-Fi extender for my older Sunetric Sun power panel system. Tech explained the Sunetric Sunpower panel system which runs on Ethernet needs extender. After testing Wi-Fi extender by placing cord of it in side of Dell . Testing for voltage . He replaced the Wi-Fi extender. I think he said he could see light flashes in wire where new Wi-fi extender wires were just attached. So although the Sun power system monitor LIQUID crystal display no longer displayed 25,the number of Sun power panels of the Sunetric system, Sun Power solar panels, the panel that feeds from panels to home and Hawaiian Electric with excess electricity was operating after white Wi-fi extender replacement (put in by the six year experienced repair tech). He tested for voltage again running in wires of Sunetrics panel with the new wi-fi extender and other wires coming in and out of the panel. When asked how long wi -fi extenders last ? He responded he has seen one month to six years. Well my Sunetrics Sun Power panels of 25 has been on house since 2012 to 2025. The other 24 RevoluSun's Sun Power panels came after. I appreciated the RevoluSun's repair teams that came and Intergrated two systems of Sun Power Panels and keep both running . It is an energy savings and has been a tax deduction. Their prep involved continuous delays, and nine months later said the quote had "expired"! In a clear case of bait and switch, suddenly the price was jacked up when all the delays were due to their inability to fulfill their proposal.
