It is worth the wait my friends, if you have the time. My go to is the Fig Old Fashioned latte. The last time I had it they didn't put a real fig in it.. so that might be one of those "when available" additions? Not sure. When my hubby asked about it for me the girl just added more syrup.. (*shrug* Not a huge deal.) Have also tried scones and avocado toast. Now.. to be brutally honest.. I get Gen X annoyed at avocado toast on a menu. Like.. I've been putting avocado on everything my whole life.. it's not a new product and rarely is it worth the price restaurants want for it.. so I roll my eyes every time I see it. BUT.. damn. First of all, you must realize there's tons of coffee places in Washington, especially in Yelm I can count about 9 places that sell coffee on the main Street. I'm not even counting the half dozen gas stations either . Most of them are little drive-thru structures. This one is a brick and mortar in town. And unfortunately people are lazy and like to drive through and get their beverages. So that's sort of a negative for Kravins. You need to make that place a coffee house. Someone is willing to get out of their car for. The former business was really adorable. They had some really cute unique vintage stuff in there shop. They had a business that did Do-It-Yourself terrariums in the back. It was very unique and it was sad that they didn't make it due to lack of support of this town. The rule of thumb is when you take over a business you need to make it better and more interesting . I went in the other day, because I heard they had soup there a while back. They no longer sell soup. So that's strike one. Their baked goods looked like they had bought them from the grocery store instead of either sourcing them from someone unique or baking them themselves. There are plenty of bakers that are independent in this town that you could source some really amazing baked goods from if you don't want to do it yourself. You need something like that to bring people in. I don't know why you don't have a soup and salad bar that would take your business to the next level. The cute shop and vintage items are gone and have been replaced with boring gift store items. Tim's pharmacy has the most unique items and they're right across the street. Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel with some humdrum stuff? I'm giving you free advice if you want to make that business go. You have to make it shine and be so unique. Even the drinks have to be different. I purchased a small smoothie that cost me almost $8 and it wasn't good. It was extremely sweet and it had a strange taste to it. Based on that visit I would never come back and I wouldn't recommend you to anybody. You have a really nice shop there. You need to really bring it up to the next level. You need to serve some sort of soup and salad. Something unique. Forget the sandwiches. Those are everywhere or if you make sandwiches they have to be different. People are looking for something new. Also you want to make it a place people want to come and hang out. It's not charming anymore with the gift shop hanging there. Hopefully you fix it. Turn it into a little restaurant.

We somehow spaced it that the cafe served only plant based food and only realized it after we took couple of bites because the food had unpleasant aftertaste. The pros: 1. Appreciate the support for LGBTQ 2. Appreciate the idea of "plant based" food 3. Nice atmosphere The cons: 1. The 12 oz cup of tea and the 16 oz cup of latte were served in the 12 oz mugs. We paid for a 16 oz latte. 2. Early Grey was of poor quality. Not much flavor. 3. The scones tasted ok, but not like true traditional scones. I presume it is because they are plant based. 4. Shortly after eating a sundried tomato scone I started feeling nauseated and developed a headache which lasted for several hours after. I do not have food allergies, I do though react poorly to heavily processed food. Knowing my body very well this makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients used. Plant based food is a very noble idea and is better for health and environment when in its natural form (olive oil, veggies, whole grains, etc.), but unfortunately some products are often very heavily processed (plant based butter, cheese, etc.). I have no idea what those scones were made of. I will not eat other scones after this experience. 5. I took a bite of hubby's panini. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. 6. We paid for 3 scones. The cashier gave us only two. I thought that the third one would be brought out shortly with the rest of the order so I let the cashier to attend to the line behind us. When the 3rd scone wasn't brought out I approached the counter to ask about it. Another person that was standing there asked me if I paid for it.......Seeing so much suspicion on their face I told the person that I would like to wait for the cashier to see if she would remember me placing an order. To which that person responded - I believe you......This was not a pleasant experience and this is not sound customer service if you ask me. Instead of taking responsibility and checking their system, they made me feel like I was trying to get free food. A professional business should always prioritize making the customer feel heard and valued, rather than putting them on the defensive. The OK: Coffee was just ok. I personally wouldn't come back for it. Overall this is not my cup of tea. I wouldn't come back.

I'm glad they are a stand that didn't ASK if I wanted to tip, that was a plus. I think this stand is only a one sided drive through, which wasn't an issue since I was the only one there at the moment. The location in the parking lot is a little cramped, someone zoomed around me while I was waiting for my lotus. I tried my drink and it just wasn't very good, she may have done the sour gummy worm flavor, which I'm not sure if that was sugar free or not. I glanced at their menu before hand and I can see that they carry just about everything I've seen every other coffee stand around here carries, so I wouldn't say they are very original. Overall, between the service, taste, and location I'm probably not gonna come back even though it's the closest one to me, which is disappointing.
