The staff here are on point with checking in at the perfect times and they always do a sweep for coffee and water refills, to see if anyone needs anything or anything else. They are also so friendly and seem to know their regulars well too. The bathroom is well-maintained and even has a changing station. I got the strawberry lemonade and the biscuits and gravy combo that comes with eggs, hash browns, and ham while my boyfriend got the chicken club sandwich. The drink arrived immediately and not even after a few minutes did our food arrive. The pictures and reviews did not lie, the portions were huge and the food tasted great especially for the price. You do pay at the front once they drop off the tab. I do also appreciate that they sell some local goods from honey, sauces, jewelry and other neat things. One owner spent years as an executive chef at a casino, while the other built a career as a professional baker in Aberdeen. Boy, does that expertise show. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. A little context: I mostly eat pescatarian these days, so when I do splurge on chicken, my expectations are sky high. I've built it up in my head as one of the foods I miss most (right alongside a good ribeye), and it's almost always disappointing. Not this time. This chicken is absolutely ridiculous.
