Almost immediately, me and my wife were approached by a staff member who very bluntly and disrespectfully told me that I had to move, "and there's other handicap parking on the other side of the building" after I told her we were looking for the restaurant. Besides this being illegal....state law (CVC §22507.8) allows any person with a valid placard to park in any designated disabled space, regardless of assignment or restrictive signage...(which they have and is asinine). The way this was handled showed a serious lack of professionalism and courtesy. A simple explanation or polite redirection would have completely changed my perception of this place. Instead, the interaction came off as unnecessarily rude, especially toward someone trying to support a local business. Not a place I would want to go to for "wellness".

Hearing staff discuss another patient's situation in the reception area immediately struck me as unprofessional and made me question the level of discretion and privacy patients receive. After being placed in the room, I continued waiting well past my scheduled appointment time with absolutely no communication from the staff. No one came in to apologize for the delay or let me know they were running behind. Once I was about 15 minutes past my appointment time, I decided I was going to leave. Only then did someone come into the room. I explained that my frustration wasn't simply about waiting--it was the complete lack of communication. My time is just as valuable as theirs. Had someone simply told me they were running behind, I could have made an informed decision to wait or reschedule. Instead, I was left sitting there wondering what was going on. The response I received was simply, "We'll get you going now," and I was handed a phone so someone on a video call could complete my intake and medical history. As a first-time patient who was already nervous about my appointment, this felt incredibly impersonal. Instead of meeting with someone in person, I was expected to discuss my medical history with a stranger on a screen while another staff member stood in the room. At that point, I realized this simply wasn't the experience I was looking for. I politely explained that this level of care felt impersonal and that this wasn't the right clinic for me. I left feeling confused, frustrated, and honestly disappointed. Whatever happened to making patients feel welcomed, valued, and cared for--especially during a first visit? The irony is that if I had arrived 15 minutes late, I'm confident I either would not have been seen or would have been charged a late or missed appointment fee. Yet when the office was running behind, there was no courtesy of communicating that to me or acknowledging that my time mattered as well.
