As a business Revive did not put their best foot forward considering I was a new client. I was given an inexperienced stylist who seemed to have zero talent. I received an underwhelming haircut and had to pretend to be interested while she went on and on about herself. Julia did my hair and I do not recommend her. She is over priced considering she has no talent. I'm surprised the owner allows such a condescending employee greet their new customers. read more

Pretty disappointed with Jenna and how she handled a couple color mistakes on my hair. I have been Loyal to her over the past 3 years and to the salon and her reaction to how to address this was just heartless to say the least!! This last time I went in, the toner took to much and she left spots of gray in the front of my hair and all around my hair. I asked her about it and she said to just wash it out and it would come off after serval washes. After I washed it, I knew it was not coming off, so I reached out to her as an emergency to come in and she wanted me to wait several days and suggested her only time. I was not available for that one time so she suggested another time and by that time it was close to a week out I had to go to another salon to fix her issue... I could not last that long with major hair spot all over my hair looking gray. My hair was simple- same colors over the past 3 years. Highlights and toner- period! She then had not check on me to see about correcting the issue but sends me a text saying that she is no longer available to do my hair and pretty much gave up on me and fixing it... I'm sorry but a good hair stylist ALWAYS makes time and fixes what is wrong! No questions asked. Also never Gives up! This is just wrong! You messed my hair up and you want to tell me it's not a good fit after you messed it up 3 times! I just sat there as you did the color and highlights. If anything I should have stopped the first time you made a mistake and out of loyalty to you. I never did! You don't just give up on people- this just shows how she will do this to other people and I suggest you be alert that she would do it and leave you looking messed up and not put much attention to come in at anytime to fix it. She works for us and not the other way around! Over the years I have sent her so many referrals because I knew she would do a good job and did. This was 3 mistakes of different colors issues. My hair was pretty standard and my request was always the same. Same highlight color and toner- never changed it over 3 years. Was not hard to do my hair- it never changed! In fact- I was afraid to ask if she could make it lighter because that idea was and had always been shot down in the past... I never changed it up! The salon did not handle it well either when asking to come in to see anyone else. This behavior feels very strange! Very clicky and not for the interest of the client! Be aware! read more

I am beyond disappointed in the recent hair coloring job I had done there because I took a picture of what I WANTED and DIDN'T want.....She gave me mostly what I didn't want. I am new to the area and was going off reviews so I think it was the particular stylist. The stylist kept checking with others on what to do and initially I interpreted that as a good thing. I truly thought she was checking with someone who specialized in color chemistry because that's how it worked at my old salon. After she dried my hair I could see how dramatic the highlights were compared to the base color. That's what I was trying to avoid and clearly stated upon arrival. When I told her I didn't like it she "we can tone it down at the next appt if you still don't like it" and I did not know what else to say. I thought the color would relax and blend in better after 2 days and a wash..... it does not. Having recently moved to the area from another state, finding a stylist was one more stressor to add to the list. I had nothing to go by but Yelp reviews. I gave a call to Revive, and was booked an appointment with Malia. I lucked out. My cuts have always turned out better when done on dry hair, but many stylists don't like to do dry cuts, so I'd given up asking. Malia actually suggested a dry cut. So happy I chose this salon. I loved the ease of being able to book an appointment right here on Yelp. I was able to get in the same day. Cheyenne was friendly and professional and did exactly what I asked for. She made some recommendations, but wasn't pushy about it, which I appreciate. It's a small salon, but cozy and unassuming. I felt right at home and will return next time I need an amazing cut. Also, they just started carrying Aveda which I consider an added bonus! (Tip: have lunch at Delta Bound across the parking lot! Lucky to stumble onto Revive after browsing yelp for a hair salon near home. They had online booking which made my impulse decision to get a haircut even easier (We all have those bad hair days where we just need a professional, right?). Lucky for me, Cheyenne had an opening online and I snuck right in same day! Looks like she normally stays booked a few weeks out, too, it was just hair-serendipity! It's always nerve-wracking when you move to a new town and need someone that can handle your hair texture. Cheyenne understood that my hair didn't do well with razor cuts and she didn't pressure me to let her razor it. She gave a great point-cut trim while listening to the cut I wanted and working with my thick hair' s natural stubbornness to get it back to a beautiful pixie that lays just right!
