I just had my hair cut at Great Clips in the Publix Center and I have never had a really horrible haircut before, but this time my haircut was really bad. The hairstylist did not listen to me at all. I told her I wanted the lower back half of my head cut with clippers no 8. I told her I wanted my hair dry and she wet it. When I told her to stop she stated" I can't cut dry hair. I have had my hair cut dry for 20 years. I have one side layered shorter and I didn't want it layered. She almost cut one side of my hair the length of my bangs, but I stoped her.I'm left with long and short pieces that make no sense, and one side layered and much shorter than the other. A couple quick notes about the post-COVID setup here. You have to make an "appointment" which means you have to use the app and "Check-in" online. And you have to wear a mask to get for your haircut. The app can be a little wacky, so be sure to update your screen by going to something else on the app and then back to the Check-in screen afterwards. I usually click on the Messages tab and then go back. Even then, it seemed to go back and forth until we got down to the last 20 minutes. But once you are in the chair, it's the same quick, professional service. I still highly recommend it. I got a fantastic haircut from Mitzi on 2/6. I could tell she didn't feel well, but she continued to complete the cut. She did an excellent job, and I was extremely happy when I got home to view my haircut. Here's hoping that Mitzi will feel better soon! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Rude rude rude! I walked in at 2:00 checked in with the young lady and she said it will be over 75 minute wait I said "okay we'll be back" came back one hour later and she another lady says I don't see you on here but I can add you to our one hour wait list.... manager super old lady walks in with food and doesn't come up to me as she doesn't know how to do her job. The women in there snarkly glared at me and were incredibly unprofessional. Seriously never encountered such rudeness from a buisness. I am contacting the GM first thing tomorrow. This place is an absolute joke!!!!!!!!!! Worst great clips ever. read more

Their online checkin system is idiotic. Checked in and it started at 77 minutes. So I waited. Got down to 12 minutes and I was about to drive there then is goes to 39 minutes. Then it did this until the places closed. Had trouble last time. But the secret is usually to check in and not go until about 20 minutes after the estimated wait time (except when the timer is whacked). Then when you show up you should be number 1 on the list. Saves a lot of wait time. Or you can goto the local independent barber like I am doing now and get way better service. read more

They do not respect the app/online checking in Spring Hill. Worthless. Put you near the end of the line. Both shops. You physically have to be present regardless of your check in time. B.S. Follow up: I sent a message to customer service at Great Clips. Their response is they will have the owner contact me. The same owner who is likely advising staff to ignore app check in. read more

The last time we came in, the girl had a terrible attitude and my sons hair cut was an embarrassment. We decided to give it another try, so we checked in and it said 20 minute wait. Once we arrived, our name got bumped from 2nd to 3rd and she took a walk in over us. I heard the walk in day he didn't check in, so I went over and inquired about this accident and she said she can only go by how the names appear. So they were able to take 2 more walk ins over my 5 year old son. We decided to walk out, and I'll never go back. read more

I was in the area to visit family and I decided to try going here. It was the most terrible experience I've ever had at Great Clips and the hairdresser I had was very inconsiderate. She didn't even introduce herself and didn't take my requests with care. I asked Tabitha Dawn for a simple cut: v shape, 3 inch trim, and a face frame, none of which she did properly. I had to ask her three time to cut the shape properly since it was a straight line each time she "tried". She ended up taking 5 inches off my hair and didn't cut my face frame properly even when I tried correcting her. I didn't realize when I walked out, but she didn't even cut my hair evenly! The sides are completely uneven and I'm not sure why any person who calls themselves a hairdresser would let a client walk out with hair like that. Absolutely horrible service! Brought my two little princesses in just to have French braids, considering I can't do them myself!...Great experience, prompt and courteous staff, and the stylist was amazing. Great experience today at my usual hair cut place; checked in using app before leaving the house; was greeted as soon as I came in and they immediately marked me as present in their computer; hairstylist escorted me to her station before I even sat down. Rude and unprofessional. We are new to the area and I was looking for a place to get my sons haircut. The stylist was great... Polite and she did a good job with my sons hair. Because I'm new to the area I misunderstood the mask mandate. I wore mine in but I was under the impression that children under 12 weren't mandated to wear one. When the manager made a huge scene in front of other customers I politely expressed my understanding of the mask policy since both of my children are under 12 and both have medical issues. She then began yelling at me in front of the entire establishment. I put my hand up to calm her down and I let her know that I understood and asked my daughter to leave and wait outside for me. I understand everyone's fear, but honestly a little grace and professionalism would have been appreciated in these crazy times. I would have extended the same to her. We will never return. read more

My husband and son went last week to get their hair cut. My son, who is 6, was in the chair and my husband explained how his hair cut should be. Short on sides with top long so he can do his faux hawk. Well, my husband was called over to another chair by another stylist, the stylist working on my son told him not to worry he would be fine. My husband could see in the mirror but the stylist working on my son was blocking his view. When she turned my son around at the end she had cut his bangs super short and straight across. My husband said something as the stylist was grabbing Kleenex off the station to wipe the blood off the back of my sons neck saying "I nicked him slightly". She nicked him in 3 different spots and gave him razor burn in another spot. All of which were bleeding. My son never moves while sitting in a salon chair getting his hair cut. The stylist working on my husband had to attempt to fix my son's bangs but they were just too short to do anything. Then the stylist working on my son originally, asked my husband's stylist to help fix my son's fade. Hopefully the one working on my son's hair isn't employed there much longer. She never apologized and just starting closing up shop. read more
