I was really nervous about adding some color to my hair while maintaining the integrity of my hair. I am so lucky to have found Jennifer Griffiths! After paying a small fortune to have my hair highlighted at a "bougie" Brentwood salon, my hair was yellow and did not flatter my skin tone. Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with Jen. I was surprised by how my hair turned out because her Instagram looks like she usually does a great job. However when she started cutting my hair I quickly got very worried about how much hair she was hacking off. That sounds intense, because it was! I was very clear that I wanted to keep my length, but add in some layers at the ENDS of my hair, but Jen took out a huge amount of volume and length from the top of my hair. I kept thinking tk myself "oh my gosh, how much hair is she cutting off " You can see in the picture how my hair caves in towards my jaw line. That's because she chopped all my hair super short but left the under layers long. So it created this bubble up top, it was awful. It was sort of like a bad shag cut instead of a textured bob like I asked for. I got home and my husband immediately knew it wasn't good I had a very hard time styling my hair afterward because the layers were so short, they couldn't be curled. Jen was a new stylist I was trying because we recently moved here from out of state. When I flew back home and saw my usual stylist we had to do a very short bob to correct the bad layering. My hair was so disconnected. Thankfully it's fixed now! read more

Jenn is honestly the best hair stylist I have ever had! I have curly (3a) hair and have had so many awful experiences with past hair stylists - from frying my hair, awful blonde colors, and horrible cures. When i started going to Jenn, she listened to my concerns and wants and immediately knew what to do with my hair - the outcome was beyond what I could have imagined!! Her focus was to help get my hair back to being healthy, with a natural look, but still look trendy as a blonde. I also loved how she was able to color my hair for low maintenance - not having to go to the salon every 6 weeks. For a stylist to do that, I could tell that she genuinely cared and wasn't just after the money. Jenn knows her stuff! I've never met a stylist that is so knowledgeable about the hair industry and can look at your hair and immediately know what to do. She is kind, hard working and beyond talented! Can't say anything bad about Jen! She is truly talented and knows her stuff when it comes to hair. I've been going to her for 5 years now and wouldn't trust any one else with my hair.
