Thank you to the Brentwood team for always being genuine and kind. You make my salon experience a relaxing one. I'm so happy that you are in my neighborhood. I've been going to Element Salon, Brentwood, for five and a half years and can't say enough about the fantastic stylists, management, and staff. All are professional & so knowledgeable in the products and services they provide. I'm greeted at the door every week with a friendly smile, always taking care of my needs. Let me tell you about my stylist, Charlotte! She has incredible blow-drying techniques, especially when working with my long, curly hair, leaving it looking straight and silky smooth. I go once a week for a shampoo blowout since I have a disability that makes it hard to wash and blow-dry my hair. I love, love balayage over foils! Josh is a master at applying color; he always makes my hair look so natural and beautiful! I've seen the work he's done on his other clients who want fun colors in their hair. Every time he's finished, the cut and coloring always look amazing! If you want purple, green, or even blue, you will be very happy with Josh's results. Element uses the best quality products of the L'Oreal line, Kerastase & Shu Uemura, which I've used in my hair for 14 years. When Charlotte is finished, there's so much shine that it lasts me until the next week. When L'Oréal discontinued the permanent color used for my base, Charlotte and Josh put their heads together and devised a formula that's a perfect replacement. It turned out looking amazing! This is a wonderful place to get your haircut for people who want to have a nice experience, cutting their hair, but are very busy and don't have a lot of time to wait weeks and weeks to get a salon appointment. Element Salon was recommended to me by some friends. I was delighted to see that they had a branch down the street from my home. I had no idea it was even there, it's tucked away in a corner of a busy shopping center in Brentwood. However, this place is definitely a hidden gem. I was able to book a same-day appointment. You can call or book online to schedule. I had Charlotte who was friendly, lovely, and very professional. She was good about asking me what I wanted and gave a wonderful shampoo/conditioner and scalp massage. I also had a lovely cup of tea tea while she was doing my hair. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it, and styled it, so it had beautiful soft waves. The best part is, my hair is still amazing the next day, even after I washed it. The vibe of the salon is very modern, but relaxing. I love the black and yellow tones. This is now my go to salon ! read more

I hate this.... But service has severely gone downhill here. Been seeing the same gal for a while now, and had an appointment recently. Asked what we were doing, etc. standard talk at the beginning of an appt. I was honest. Said I wasn't happy with my hair or what she did last time. She confirmed what I asked for last time, yet none of it happened. And I paid almost $450 with tip to look that bad. So I stated I would not be paying that again, please just do my roots (greys) and we can figure it out next time. Once again, the color is awful. I wanted dark brown roots to blend and I walked out looking like an orange. Even all my coworkers at work noticed, and they don't notice hair. I mean, I was shining bright orange in the sun! Eww. While there in the chair she said I was overcharged last time and we could check it out when checking out. Get up to the front to pay and she said nothing. I was testing to see if she followed through.... Message received. Paid my bill, and immediately found a few salon when I got home. Had my appointment a few days later and my hair is good again. With the roots I asked for. Unfortunately it took quite a lot to get my hair fixed as my new girl found a rainbow of colors Element left me with. Element is kind people, but for good quality color services, I'd recommend elsewhere. read more

I cannot say enough about my INCREDIBLE experience with Rodney! I came in looking for a full highlight & cut. He sat with me and really listened to what I wanted & man did he deliver! My hair has never looked or felt better. Rodney is very gifted at what he does & pays great attention to detail. He is also very professional & easy to talk to! I am so lucky I found him! The entire staff really works together and they are very nice. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the salon is a bit small for my liking but do not keep that from booking here the overall experience is excellent! read more

This might be the worst experience I have ever had getting a blowout and style. I went in to treat myself getting my hair curled before a wedding and left and maybe 15 minutes later my hair is completely straight. We called the salon to see if they could fix my hair and they gladly said they could take me. I walk in and all the stylists are sitting around and was told it would be 15 minutes before someone could curl my hair....okay? Why one of the girls sitting around tapping couldn't take a quick curling iron to my hair is beside me....Extremely unprofessional group of stylists - they were more focused on eating their lunch. The only one that was gracious was the gentleman stylist in the front of salon who quietly acknowledged how bizarre the situation was. Go far far away from here. I can't imagine what getting my hair actually cut and colored would be like! read more

Just wanted to drop in and give a shoutout to Ally here at Element Salon. I have been getting my hair color from her for over a year at this point and it has always been beautiful. I like to go through transitions in my look and I have always loved each result. Most recently I decided on a makeover to magenta and she nailed the look I was going for. She also colored my hair before my wedding and she was able to match my extensions dead on (for my black roots, mixed brunette highlight hair going to honey blonde extensions, that's a lot of work) and she looked at my hairstyle trial, the extensions and placed the highlight pieces exactly where needed so they would blend overall. I just moved to Nashville & so I spent a lot of time online looking for a salon & stylist. First of all, the salon is everything you could want, and everyone working there is friendly & professional. I appreciated that there's a free parking garage connected to all the shops at 201 Franklin. In searching for a new stylist, I particularly sought out someone whose Instagram photos demonstrated that she also has an interest/ability in cutting shorter hair (in addition to all of the long, flowing hair styles that are so beautiful & popular here in Nashville). My appointment was with Courtney & I was so pleased to meet her. She's a delightful person & put me at ease. Courtney formulated a plan to warm up my color, add some balayage highlights & precisely cut my hair with sharp, clean lines. She did an outstanding job & I am very happy with my new look. read more

So I normally don't leave reviews, but this is a must. I went to elements salon through a recommendation. I made and appointment with A stylist 2 for a balayage. COURTNEY was then appointed to take my appointment. This is what she did to my hair for a strand test. I was very surprised she cut my hair rather than dying it as a strand test. The location and amount she took I felt like I was getting a drug test. I was so upset that I left and didn't get a service down at all. I called and complained And spoke to the director. I was then offered to come in and get an extensions consultation the next day. I came in, didn't get a consultation bc I was about to get a balayage elsewhere, so he told me to just send them a picture after the balayage was done for the consultation. I haven't called them back since. I was so annoyed at my consultation that nothing he offered me can replace the pieces of hair on my head. Started coming here immediately after things lightened up a little bit with Covid. I had just moved to Nashville before Covid and had been to one other place in Franklin and wasn't too impressed. Prior to moving to Nashville and coming to Element, I had been with the same person for 11 years! Rodney listens to what you like and want. Offers his professional opinion and ideas. He has done an amazing job for me. I have ruthless thin but a ton of thin frizzy, damaged hair. Between working in construction with concrete dust, living in a home with well water, and highlighting my hair for...my entire life, he has managed to create a head of hair that's much more healthy and looks fabulous as well! I have now been back to him a second time and won't be going anywhere else. read more

..... my appointment was at 1215, i didnt leave the salon until around 330 and requested balayage..... they sat me with a "senior stylist" and 3 hours and close to 300 dollars later and the person flat ironing my hair pulling my hair hard and without care every time i flinched. I got home and my hair looked like nothing else was even done to it. I also drove 2 hous to this appointment.......i have never written a Yelp review..... but this salon is not up to par UPDATE: I spoke with the manager and she was very kind and understanding, she did everything in her power to ensure things were corrected and addressed. read more
