I engaged Maidly to perform a deep cleaning, and they did a great job. I've lived in my apartment…read morefor nine years and had not done a deep cleaning since I moved in, so there was a lot of grime in some spots. But they were up to the challenge. Communication via Yelp was quick and concise, though there was something of a language barrier with the workers who arrived to do the work. Translation app solved that problem. Overall, a good value for the money; would use again!

I didn't realize this is a matching service when I contacted them. I think their business model is…read moreto hire customer service reps from abroad then match you with local small businesses. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

I was honestly pretty disappointed with the cleaning that Paixao did on my house. First of all they arrived late, which is totally fine if they would tell you that was happening which they didn't. I ended up reaching out to confirm they were coming and was told they were arriving soon. I am fine with not being right on time, but some notice would be nice especially since it was the first cleaning. Second of all they didn't give a price in advance which is fine, they hadn't seen the place and I had not asked. But their price was $100+ what I was quoted and paid before. I am fine with paying more if the job was well done but it simply was not and I feel like for the quality of work, it was way too much. They missed a bunch of spots and completely skipped dusting several areas. The "mop" they used did not clean well or properly and the cleaning solution left a pretty terrible smell. I had to communicate with the owner over text about the issues when they asked if things were okay and I assumed this would get relayed to the cleaning staff. It was not and I had to super awkwardly explain all the issues to them. They also loaded the dishwasher in the worst, most non sensical way I have ever seen and it seemed like they put away some of the stuff with something on their hands as utensils had a shiny residue of sorts that i had to wipe off. Not everything was bad but lots of things were not great and they didn't do basic stuff until I asked them to like vacuuming the upstairs. The funniest thing is my place was not even all that dirty but some of the spots were there were issues like a streak on the floor still remain. The other issue was it was very hard to communicate with them. I completely understand language barriers but in that case, I would expect the communication to go through the company which it did not. So I was left to try to explain things and ask/answer questions and I'm pretty sure 90% of what was said on both sides was ignored because of this. So overall: difficult to communicate, multiple issues with the cleaning itself, high price. I am honestly pretty disappointed and I don't think my expectations were unrealistic. Sad to say I can't recommend them and won't use them again.

I told her I wanted it mopped with a mop - they didn't have one! I gave them mine and told them I wanted my floors wet. They hardly dipped it in water so I knew I would have to remop when they left. They also wore shoes in the house the whole time. I don't even wear shoes in my house it's filthy! I remopped my downstairs alone and this was the color of the bucket when I was done - BLACK. Easy to say I will not be using them again. So disappointing Responding to the owners response - the team did NOT clean it three times that you claim. They wiped over it once if that with a 4x4 rag. My mop was not filthy so making false accusations wouldn't be ethical. We have cameras if you'd like to review them let me know I can post them on here ;)

They arrived 3 hours late and had terrible communication throughout -1pm appointment -1:30 he says they're on the way -1:45 he says they're an hour away -3:00 I text him as they haven't arrived yet -3:30 he says they're parking -4:00 the cleaners finally arrive, 3 hours late -6:00 they're done When I brought up my obvious dissatisfaction with this, he didn't respond until the next day where I was offered $20 off. I value 3 hours of my time at more than $20. If he had said from the start "Hey they are running late", I could have gone and done something else. But they were always "Just right around the corner" so I didn't want to leave and miss them. Also, he said the cleaners "Didn't find a parking lot". The entire outside of the building is a parking lot. The apartment looks more like a hotel. Note the timestamps on the messages I attached. Do not recommend.

Her vacuum canister was full of dog hair that I didn't even see when I inspected the place beforehand. She scrubbed the baseboards and window sills. She chased dust bunnies from under the couch and the top of the ceiling fan. She even cleaned inside the refrigerator. I do wish she had an odor eliminator. She shampooed the carpet in the bedroom and it smelled like wet dog afterwards. Not a real issue because I just bought a plug-in and spray. Also cracked the windows and the smell was gone the next day. The only thing she couldn't fully clean was the high ledge in my combo kitchen/living room but I won't penalize her for it. She tried her best but the room has a soaring 20-foot ceiling. Even her duster with added extensions couldn't reach the back and corners of the ledge. I'm happy to be moving into a clean house and will wholeheartedly recommend her to others.
