I sent an expensive custom-made rug to Revita to be cleaned and they ruined it. They picked up the rug, which was in excellent condition, and were supposed to return it in 1 week. Without letting me know in advance it was not returned the next week. When I called to check on it, I was told that it was still wet, and it would be returned to me in another weeks' time. They also said that the rug was in good condition. It was returned the next week, but it was no longer in good condition. Having been wet so long the carpet had delaminated (a condition where the secondary backing of the carpet separates from the primary backing) causing the rug to ripple in numerous places. They picked it up to repair it and promised to have it back in another week's time. They let me know they needed to delay it's return by a week. When it was time to return it, they again needed to delay it another week. I asked if they could apply their Revita Wash, a stain blocker, to the rug at no charge to make up for all the delays. They agreed and confirmed that applying it would not delay the rugs return or cause it additional damage. Hamid, the owner, told me I should be appreciative of all the work that was being done at no charge to repair the rug. It was insulting to me that I should be thankful for them working to repair damages they had caused. When the rug was returned It was severely damaged. At first, they blamed the Revita Wash which they promised would not hurt the rug, but it was more than that. It still had areas that would not lay flat from delamination, the colors had run/bleed, areas of the carpet were saturated with glue, in those areas if you touched the front of the carpet wet glue came off on your fingers, yellowing to roughly 50% of the carpet, and the carpet was sticky. After sending the rug back in this condition they wanted to work on it again. I asked if they had they not already done their best efforts but got no response. I have no confidence that they could repair all the damage since they were not able to repair it in the 5 weeks they'd had it already. Shirzad, the owner's son, says that they clean a lot of rugs and sometimes they get ruined. I want to replace the rug with the same one. He offered to pay roughly 25% of the replacement cost. He refused to provide their insurance companies information and said if I want more than what he offered sue him. read more

The team at Revita Rugs has come through splendidly for us. In an effort to clean and repair 5 antique carpets, four 18th century Aubussons and one 19th century Savonnerie, we interviewed several companies. Hamid from Revita impressed with his knowledge and sophistication, having trained and worked in antique carpet restoration in Europe. All our interactions with the company from start to finish of the job have been prompt, professional and beyond reproach. A very large carpet had to be repaired on site and Christina came with her tools to do this. Special natural pads were used under the carpet so as not to damage them. A special anti microbial, anti dust mite treatment was added. Colors are now more vivid. I understand only natural methods were used, including Australian lanolin. We thank Hamid for his expertise in helping preserve these objects. read more

I have never dealt with a company that was more unprofessional and unwilling to fix their mistake before. I sent 2 very expensive rugs to be cleaned to them. They assured me that they could do it in a timely matter and without damaging them. After weeks of not getting a response from them, they finally delivered the rugs, both were damaged & had discoloration . I called the manager & he recognized that they had indeed ruined both rugs and agreed to replace them. After a few more weeks went by and I had my decorator get involved. They changed their story and said the one rug will eventually soften up, so they will not replace it now, but will replace the living room one. It has been MONTHS & I don't have my rug & the manager will not respond. It's been incredibly frustrating, especially since they agree it was their mistake. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH REVITA RUGS!!! read more

First I have to say that I did NOT get my rugs cleaned by revitaRUGS. I did however call them for an estimate and I have to say the person who answered the phone was a true professional! he knew I wasn't going to pay $200 to clean my $350 CB2 rugs, but spent time on the phone with me going over my other options and being very patient despite the fact that he obviously wasn't going for a sale. Kudos, someone else would've rushed me off the phone. read more

My son has very significant seasonal allergies. Every morning he would wake up sneezing and blowing his noise, almost to the point of exhaustion. I had the professionals at Revita treat not only the wall-wall carpet in his room, but also his bedding and sheets with their Allergy prevention solution. The results were amazing and immediate. It was the best money I have ever spent. I'm considering having the rest of the house done. I highly recommend Revita and this process. read more

They claim to be a White-Glove, Eco-Friendly, High Tech Professional Rug Cleaning, believe, this is so not true..I found them to be very rude and an unprofessional company tha does NOT stand behind their work....They offer no customer service on their damage my hardwood floors. Finally, offered to make repairs, but never did. BTW, rugs were no difference from prior cleaning, but they charged more ($625.00). Stay away form this company! read more

I highly recommend Revita Rugs. I used to live in NYC, but now live in California and I still use them to clean my beautiful carpets. Last year, I purchased a synthetic silk on cotton carpet in Turkey and recently sent it to NJ to have it cleaned by Revita Rugs. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY!!!! I have two cats that have thrown up on the carpet a few times.... Of course, I picked up the mess immediately after discovering it. I was hesitate on cleaning the carpet myself with chemical products. I only used water and dabbed the carpet with a towel. I was also advised not to use soap because the suds get stuck in the carpet. My carpet was starting to look dirty, so I shipped it across the country to Revita Rugs.... upon receipt of my carpet, I was beyond happy when i rolled it out to examine it. It looked brand new. I worked directly with a member of the management team, Azita Goldman, who is the VP of Business Development for the company. Excellent Service!!! You pay for what you get!!!!!! The people who run this company have been in the industry for many years and are experts. I also had my rug appraised by them, which was helpful, because I was told my rug was silk on silk when buying my rug in Turkey. You have to be very careful while buying carpet overseas, because the seller may not be honest and tell you whatever you want to hear. Thank you REVITA RUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Very pleased with the results of our recent cleaning of a valuable oriental carpet that had pet stains and odors. They were very accommodating and the carpet itself has a new vibrancy we haven't seen in a while--not artificial, just restorative. Would wholeheartedly recommend them. read more
