I booked myself an infrared sauna session, a flower essence bath soak, a coconut sugar scrub, and a 30 min serenity massage with reflexology add-on. I went all out and I left feeling absolutely relaxed. If I had to do it again, I would not bother with the bath soak, I've had the same caliber of baths at home. My favorite part was the sugar scrub with Lucy, she was amazing. I started with the sauna. I was led to the room and given clear instructions. I loved starting here because it set the tone for a meditative experience. There was a timer in the sauna and a remote to switch the lighting if I wanted. This was really nice. I then was led to the bath soak room. This was my own doing, but I chose to come from a hot sauna into a HOT bath. I tried cooling down the water, but it did not work. I spent most of the time outside of the bath. The room was absolutely beautiful and inspired me. I loved the bathtub shape and the pillows provided. The bathtub tray with tea was lovely. It was also nice that they provided body scrub and lotion. The few flowers in the bath were cute. After that, I was a bit lost. Thankfully there was a sheet in there to explain that I could wait in the lobby for my next session. The wait took a bit. Someone kindly offered me some snacks which I enjoyed. I loved that they were vegan and gluten-free. After spending most of the afternoon in a DIY spa session, Lucy was an amazing next spa treatment. She guided me through what to expect. Her voice was very soothing. The sugar scrub was relaxing and left me feeling absolutely smooth. She recommended doing it once a season. Next I was introduced to Justin who was my massage therapist for the last treatment. He was just as kind. For those who are passionate about deep tissue massage, he's perfect for this! He was mindful of my requests on pressure and really helped me relax. I had an amazing afternoon at Scents of Serenity spa. The sugar scrub table and massage table both have heating elements which make it perfect for winter time or a soothing and relaxing time! I would recommend this spa and am excited to come back for more.

Not the high quality pics they post…read more Coming back after my honeymoon to write my review : this place was so frustrating. The woman/owner at the front who answers the calls was clearly exceptionally talented. I do actually think HER work is the one broadcasted on social media. My maid of honor reached out via instagram with a photo of what I wanted for my wedding nails and when I got to the salon, I was excited to get started as it was the literal day before my wedding. (We DIY'd the WHOLE thing and I needed to make sure I didn't break any nails in the days before) I can't remember the name of my nail tech, but IMMEDIATELY I realized we were in a sticky situation. I tried to trust the process, showed her photos, told her I wanted a squoval French with the gold line to highlight the manicure. After I watched her MULTIPLE TIMES glue the tips on crooked, and I'm not talking like picky girl crooked, I mean DISFIGURED crooked - Once we got to the gold tip portion, I was told by the woman/owner up front "she can't work with metallics and do lines like that can you pick a different design?" In my head, I'm like, "did you not schedule this?" "Would you let me leave with my hands looking like this?" "Why don't you do it?" But she had another client and was doing anything absolutely gorgeous job on her nails while simultaneously dealing with a tough situation on the phone. I was so totally thrown off guard by this, already by the shape of my nails which definitely were very DUCK looking and the fact that we communicated with their instagram which is riddled with insane talent that I didn't know what to do. The woman up front/owner was very clearly and personally going through something on the phone that I really felt bad about and I just didn't want to ruin anyone's day so I just sucked it up and left with the absolute worst manicure of my life after so many times explaining that these were my wedding nails. My poor maid of honor got similar treatment where she got dip nails and her male manicurist put them back in white dip at the end so her nails literally looked like she played in glue. Im so frustrated. I understand people have hard days, but no one asked me any questions or seemed to care that I was getting married and chose their salon to do my nails. We had a huge wedding of 165 people and I had to show my ring to all of them - my nails will be plastered in photos for everyone to see. I tried to file them down on the sides, went to a cvs to try to fix them myself after our rehearsal dinner as I had 0 time to do anything since we were on a pretty big time crunch and my index nail on my left hand was literally pointing right. The salon itself is pretty, it seemed clean, but as far as marketing goes, I can't believe this happened to me. I paid 70 dollars and I always try to tip well, because I do want to believe the tech tried her best and that it wasn't necessarily her fault that the appointment we made was for something she couldn't do, so I tipped $20. Disappointed, sad and honestly feeling a bit robbed by them still. One week after as well, there was an odd gap of clear space between the French and the actual pinkish color that literally turned yellow on our honeymoon. Mortified to show my hands there. Now, even after I correctly took off the nails with acetone, I am left with an awful RING OF FIRE on my nail beds. this has never happened to me before and from what I hear, it means the tech was careless. The gift that keeps on giving! So now, after my wedding and getting my new and beautiful ring, I can't even get my nails done to show it off. I have to wait until these grow out. I will update the review with more pictures as they come in but here they are currently less than 1 month post appointment

She said the spot on my cheek was nothing but was happy to charge me a few hundred bucks for whatever she did to my forehead. It's now 2 years later and the spot that got zapped has turned red and will not heal. I did not intend to leave a review today. I was searching for a dermatologist to take a look at this new problem area and ended up here.

Now that my personal information had been captured I was also provided with a document stating that I would be responsible for any charges that the insurance would not cover up to the amount of $1500.00. This organization stated that they would have full access to my personal account and could make withdrawals at will and I would be notified via email prior to the withdrawal. At that very moment I felt extremely uncomfortable with the arrangement but thinking that I would be adequately notified I would be able to adjust accordingly. Here's where the whole program falls apart. Taking it from the top the first charge, a $25.00 co-pay was debited from my account on 08/16/2016. The second charge of $51.41 was debited from my account on 09/06/2016 and I was never notified. Approximately a week later I was debited with a charge of $104.00 again not notified. I caught this in process and asked it be stricken and a stop put on any further charges, (date cannot be provided because it is no longer on the ledger,) action was reversed. On 09/13/2016 I get hit a second time for the same charge of $104.00 and this time it has been processed, a temporary credit was issued and was reversed on 11/30/2016 finding no fault on the part of your organization. Now mind you, this organization hit my account three times in a period of only seven days with each and every time I have not been notified. Suddenly I'm an ATM for Christine Rauch! I reiterate, I was NEVER notified by email, (or any other form for that matter) of any impending withdrawal. Closer examination of the documents forwarded to me from the banking institution had revealed that one of their staff had input my email address incorrectly as baherden@verizon.net instead of the correct address. Given that this can prove to be a most critical factor it would behoove Dr Rauch and her staff to confirm this information rather than take it for granted. Clearly this organization deserves to be paid, I don't take issue with that. I take issue with this organization being paid at the expense of cleaning out my bank account and leaving me with not so much as enough cash to buy gas in order to go to work the next morning. I am currently 68 years of age, (was 63 at the time of the procedure.) I have an advanced education in aviation, I am grossly underemployed as well as under paid. Since I do live paycheck to paycheck these people have absolutely no idea what it's like to have your checking account cleaned out and you have to knock on someone's door at five in the morning hoping to borrow $20.00 so you can get to work? It's coming to the point where it's no longer a service for a fee, it's all about sucking someone's bank account dry. It's beginning to feel like it's a contest to see who can empty my bank account first. I understand that Dr. Rauch's husband is an emergency room triage doctor. Everyone should be justly compensated for their knowledge and intelligence. Between the two of them I'm willing to wager that together they are knocking down half a million a year. It's really a shame that they have to resort to unscrupulous means to accomplish their wealth. Having worked as a trained and licensed aircraft mechanic were my associates and myself are required to maintain and fly aircraft, were the aviation field to be handled like this office has handled my account there would be a bunch of broken aircraft, a whole lot of dead people and someone would most certainly be going to jail. The medical treatment was excellent, the way I was treated on the business side of the house is absolutely deplorable. If I had to do it again and was diagnosed stage four cancer I would turn and walk the other way rather than to be subjected to this kind of abuse. Brings new meaning to the aged term, "A license to steal." Makes me wonder if a crime has been committed?

Fast-forward to January 2026 and I am once again back with a suspicious mole. When I called in somewhat of a panic, I was able to be seen within a week. Richmond Dermatology HEARD me and my concern and thankfully did not have me waiting for months, wondering what was going on. After a shave biopsy and a call from the doctor a few days later with the results and a thoroughexplanation of, I am in need of further intervention. Gratefully, no time was wasted, I have another appointment next week and I feel like I am in good hands. Being that we look at our skin every day and barely think twice about it, its best to stay on top of yearly skin exams, just as you would afford yourself other care. We worry more about what's going on inside of us than we do about our skin, which is the body's largest organ. Not that those other things aren't important, we just forget that our skin is very important, too. I definitely recommend Richmond Dermatology, and I recommend advocating for yourself if you are experiencing something that is or could be scary, like a potential skin cancer diagnosis.
