One of my top 2 favorite nail salons. First, i have to say, Lynda is amazing. She greets everyone by their name and gets to know each customer on a personal level. Lynda is organized, accommodating, and great at what she does. The decor is gorgeous and makes you feel like you're getting your nails done at a very fancy place, but you don't get charged an arm and a leg. Saturdays are usually really busy, so schedule in advance. All tools are sterile and the technicians are kind and willing to adjust to your requests. Definitely a place you want to go back to, as well as somewhere where people know you on a personal level. Great job, Lynda!!! read more

Love my new no chip- the owner made a mistake when I called to make an appointment today but she apologized profusely when I arrived and offered to pay for my parking due to the fact that we would have to start later. I came in for a no chip with a nail art on ring finger- for the holidays. Turned out beautifully and the service was impeccable. They made me feel right at home. More pricey than what I am used to but it's probably due to the fact that I had chosen nail art that took almost 2 hours to finish. Will definitely be back! read more

Revamp Nails - No chip with nail art on ring finger - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Let me preface by saying never in a million years did I ever think I would leave a negative review for Revamp. My first experience was absolutely amazing thanks to my tech Diem. She scrubbed, polished, and massaged so wonderfully, that my no chip lasted THREE months. I could not wait to come back! Unfortunately her day off was tonight so I was seen by another tech. I looked forward to another no chip pedicure since my last visit, and couldn't wait to relax and get pampered. Tonight was more of a nightmare. I was seen right away even though I was early for my appointment which left me pleasantly surprised. As before, the woman in the front was so friendly and inviting. I walked upstairs, took off my shoes, turned on my massage chair and slipped my feet into the water bowl. Instead of letting them soak (which I was looking forward to), my tech took them out of the water almost immediately and got to work. She seemed very inexperienced. In the first few minutes she had already cut me. Afterwards she literally scrubbed each foot twice with the coarse sponge (even though my feet were extremely rough and needed TLC) and then after she dropped the sponge on the floor, she proceeded to pick it up and "rinse" it off in the water bowl. I was shocked by the lack of sanitation skills. I know that Revamp has high standards of cleanliness so I was really disappointed. After I realized that she was already moving on to the polish (even though my feet were still rough and my feet never soaked) I stopped reading my book and turned the massage chair off. It was clear that experience was not going to be enjoyable. I opted for a french no chip pedicure and after she did the tip, I asked her if she could make it thinner. She graciously said yes, but after she did it again, I asked her to to make it thinner and not to make the line so broad. I asked her 3 times, but she never fixed them. On top of that, the UV light we were using was not turning on easily so I ended up unknowingly smudging my tip. Even though she fixed it, she did not seem to happy. Last but not least, instead of giving me ANY type of massage, she literally put oil on my leg and then wiped it off. I have been looking forward to a foot massage for weeks, and I was beyond upset that there was absolutely no massage. Normally I would have spoken up, but I felt too awkward and was too upset to say anything to my tech about how unhappy I was. I was truly in shock at the experience as a whole. I feel sick knowing that I paid all that money for such an awful experience. There seems to be wonderful technicians there (Diem!), and the front desk and whoever answers the phone is wonderful, but this experience and my tech tonight were not. read more

Wow! Within two hours of my previous review, I was back in the salon getting my nails redone. Lynda really cares about providing great customer service and Dim (I think that was her name) was so friendly and my nails look great. I'll definitely be back for another no-chip. Thanks again! read more

I was disappointed with this place. I had an appointment and waited 25 minutes to be seated and then it took an hour and a half to get through my no chip manicure. The lady who did my nails got up to answer the phone, help others, etc. at least 10 times. They don't offer the "cash deal" anymore which was a let down and the whole reason I went here. Not as thrilled with how my nails turned out either. "Next time I'll cut your cuticles more" is what I was told as I was leaving. I didn't feel like the manicure I got was worth $35 and will not be coming back. read more

I visited 2 weeks ago for a dip manicure. I was excited only to be let down. My manicure left much to be desired (was very uneven and lumpy) and my skin was cut multiple times by the automatic filing. I was left sitting for 15+ minutes in the middle of my service so a "regular" customer who showed up 20 minutes early for her appointment could be attended to. The technicians here are put on timers which are constantly going off in the salon. They are too focused on quantity over quality. read more

I was a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon Memorial Day weekend and they were able to make it happen! What a great deal for a mani/pedi as well :) Look forward to returning. My nails look great and I enjoyed the ambiance! Very relaxing and friendly environment. read more

Definitely need to go back again. So cozy and modern. Everyone was really nice. The price was fantastic. Plus the women who did my nails offered really sweet suggestions for nail color and tried a few of them on me. Great place! read more

I need to start off my saying- STAY AWAY. Now, let me explain. I walked in and I was very excited given the good reviews and I was looking to try something new in the area. I was greeted right away by friendly staff, so it was definitely off to a good start. When I was taken to the back part of the salon for my pedicure, something I have never could have imagined happened. A roach fell from the ceiling onto the pedicure chair that I was about to sit in. I can not make this up. Given this was the only chair left I didn't really have another choice but to wait for the nail tech to kill the roach, clean the chair, and have me sit down. I talked myself out of panic by saying, what are the odds that happen. No way will I see another. I mean we are in Chicago, there's roaches everywhere. But I remembering hearing once, when there is one, there is many. Fast forward 5 minutes, there is another crawling on the wall next to me. Again, I can not make this up. Attached is a photo to prove it. To add more to this already awful experience, I had a gross revelation while getting my no chip manicure. After my first coat of polish, I put my hand in the UV drier and an instant foul smell of feet came oozing from the contraption. I was so confused. I could then feel so much dirt, grime, and oil that my fingers were resting on inside of the machine. I put two and two together and realized they do not sanitize these machines, even though they are interchangeably used for hands and feet. I was so disgusted once again. I took my hands out and they were stained with the smell of feet. And to top everything all off, my manicure and pedicure were both extremely sloppily done. I at least had high hopes for a good job well done, but I guess my expectations were too high. I had an extremely unrelaxed pedicure and disgustingly grimy manicure. I will never step foot in this place again, and I suggest you do the same. So many other places in the area that do a better job without the roaches and feet smell on your hands! read more

I have been coming here for 6-7 years. However, lately there has been a change of owners or I'm not sure what the issue is but they can't seem to keep the efficiently and smoothness that Linda kept. Today, being in a rush because I have an event tomorrow night, I came here to get a regular manicure and pedicure which I confirmed was $35 over the phone. I arrived and the first thing the tech did was try and push services of extra charge to me. 5 times I was insisted to get this or that when I was very clear that I just wanted a regular manicure and pedicure. Next, when doing my manicure, she took off my no-chip (which she stated was $5 extra to remove). I had no issues there. And then she told me that it would be $45. Why 45? According to her the paint for my nails was $5 extra. Seeing my nails were already shaped and cleaned I told her that in that case I didn't need to get the paint. We get to the cash register and she tells me $3 for color. Besides the fact that I thought the color was included with a manicure, now you are just charging me what you want? Very unprofessional and after 6-7 years of coming here, I will go somewhere else. read more

Been coming here for a while now. All the nail technicians are good and so nice. Pleasant place to go and relax and get your nails done.

Very clean, friendly staff, not a bad deal for the price. The polish on my pedi was a bit smudge-y, but my no-chip mani was great! Also, really comfy massage chairs. read more

This place is second-to-none! Lynda greets you at the door and her staff is so kind, friendly, courteous and professional! I have a hard time finding someone to do my eyebrows the right way and Lily did a phenomenal job! For manis and pedis, they have tons of colors to choose from and the pedicures are so wonderful! The place is cute and clean and feels like a spa! The prices are very reasonable and they offer a cash discount. I will definitely be coming back here! read more

The owner is fantastic; she's warm, funny and welcoming and also does a great job if you're ever luck enough to get her. The place can get incredibly busy and the times that they've been swamped she's been sweet about trying to fit me in, but I could tell that the person assigned to me was rushed (which led to some bleeding cuticles). Overall hope that they stay in the square!! read more

Ten days later (after a wedding, a honeymoon, and lots of housework) and my no-chip manicure still looks as good as the day I got it - that is, absolutely perfect. I am in awe. The salon is pretty and comfortable, and made a perfect day-before-the-wedding event for my bridal party and for the mothers. The ladies were friendly and helpful, and the salon was clean, tidy, and very professional. I plan on coming back every time I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks, Revamp Nails and Waxing! read more

Had a sloppy mani and pedi here. The owner took over at the end and was nice enough to try to fix it. Might have to give this place another try with a different nail tech. read more

I started going to Revamp a few months ago and fell in love. My last no chip lasted me for an entire month with out chipping. The nail techs do a fantastic job and the pricing is fair. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new nail salon. read more

I get my pedicure really quick, around 35 min. I'm satisfied with the result. But I would like to hear some questions about long and shape.

Lovely service. Tons of colors. Very clean and relaxed. Quiet. A perfect treat!

I wish I would have found this place sooner! Perfectly clean, pleasant, completely professional and great customer service. I had a mani/pedi and I'm sort of sensitive about nail care. I loved both services and they looked fantastic afterwards. I highly recommend ReVamp!! read more

I have never loved a nail salon so much. As soon as you walk in they make you feel like family. It's a great place for indecisive people like me because they always have suggestions for great nail colors and I'm never disappointed. The entire staff is great and does a fabulous job on your nails. They also make the time pass by being super friendly. When I'm home in Chicago I never go anywhere else. read more

Love this place. Lovely, friendly atmosphere; the owner Lynda is fantastic and attentive; and I've gotten perfect manicures here. Happy to support such an awesome neighborhood business! read more

I read so many awesome reviews, but my experience was just ok. Disappointed that by Friday, the no-chip manicure I got on Tuesday afternoon already started to chip on my right thumb and left pinky. I don't think the free edge was capped well enough around the corners. Technique aside, Lynda was super nice and accommodating even though I was running later than I thought I'd get there, and it's very clean. I'd try Revamp again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Revamp Nails - OPI Hello Kitty collection 'Let's Be Friends', no chip manicure (that started chipping a few days later) - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Revamp is consistently awesome and the service is phenomenal. I love that Lynda is so diligent about staying on schedule, not overbooking, and always being ready to go. They're specialty nail designs are great, just bring a picture of what you want and she'll take care of you! No-chips last for weeks upon weeks! read more

Revamp has been my nail salon for the past 2 years.I found them on Yelp after the salon I had been going to changed ownership. This place has never disappointed. Reasonable prices for STELLAR NO Chip mani and great pedi's. Very good, personal service! Make an appointment if you have time constraints. They can usually accommodate walk in though, in my experience. read more

I have been looking for a great nail salon since I moved to Chicago about a year ago. I have tried 5 or 6 and eventually found one that I is good. Until today when I decided I wanted a mani/pedi on a lazy vacation day and my regular and back-up salon in Andersonville are both closed Monday's. I ended-up in Lincoln Square, which is always a pleasurey. Excellent customer service and the mani/pedi Mary provided was stellar. She clearly cares about her customers needs and takes great pride in her work. The décor is charming. The only problem is parking on the square is terrible; however, I understand there is free street parking around the corner off of the Square and you can see the Brown Line Western stop from the salon's windows. I will be leaving my regular nail place and staying with Revamp. Finally found an excellent nail salon that understands the importance of customer services and quality work. It's also important to me that the owner treat their staff well and they clearly are treated with dignity and respect. read more

So ice. Very pretty place. The staff was amazing and the price was right!!! I would recommend.

This is a fantastic nail salon! The space is absolutely beautiful and the quaint location in Lincoln Square doesn't hurt either. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist, who also seemed like she may be the owner/manager. She asked me some questions about what I wanted and then was super helpful in suggesting appropriate nail colors for me. The girl who actually did my no-chip mani/pedi did an amazing job. I've never had someone pay so much attention to detail when doing my nails. She took such care to make sure the polish was smooth and my cuticles were clean. I was extremely happy with the final product. They charge a little more for credit card payments vs. cash payments, so bring cash if you want the lower rate. I think it was $2-$5 difference depending on what services you get. read more

Great place! My boyfriend and I came here a few days ago and got a pedicure, my bf had a ingrown nail and they took care of him so well so I love it. There's no rush here they actually take their time and work hard! My pedi still looks so good and the color is no where chipping and I only got the regular pedi! We made this out favorite nail salon so we are excited to come back next time :) read more

This is not the place to go if you want an "experience," but it's great to just get your nails done and done well, so you can move on. I've gone a few times. It's a well-run shop; Lynda, the owner, is engaged and engaging. They move you in and out promptly. My nails are notoriously weak and it seems like they are stronger having just gone there a couple of times....not sure why. I would recommend. read more

I've been coming here for over a year. Everyone is so welcoming. Everything is so bright and clean. This is where I go to get away when I can! No job has ever been rushed for me and I always get the best results. My nails last a long time compared to a previous place I use to go to. I've never had an issue and I don't ever use the word Never but since I've been going it's always been a great experience. I recommend anyone with issues to talk to Linda BEFORE you leave. Btw I've brought my husband here for a pedi and he even loves revamp!! If I could give them 100000 stars I would! read more

I came here because of the amazing reviews. The one star is for the technician I had. She did such a sloppy job. -The point of the brush at the end is to get the nail polish off your skin and yet I still found nail polish on my skin. Another technician assisted me with the issue. I went home and found more on my toes! -The nail shaping wasn't even ish. It reminded me of Anjehla Johnson skit. " your finger gies like this" -I do not know what she did with my big toe but it felt like a needle was poking at it when I put pressure on it! I was wearing heels most of that weekend!! So painful! - My nails chipping less that 24 hours of the mani. It was a july fourth weekend and I was out of state! Had to pay for a polish change there. Ugh!!! It is a service business. So it really depends on who you get. The place looks cute and cozy. They had a decent size color collection. The receptionist was sweet and help me out with my color choice. Will I go back? Maybe in a year or two, I am a bit traumatized. It was cheap 35 for mani and pedi. read more

Unfortunately updating my review. My recommendation is to only go when the owner is there. Today was a horrible experience. Employee gave me the least enjoyable 12 minute pedicure I've ever had and then tried to charge me $25 for it. I let the manager know and she did nothing about it. Will not be returning and ended up down the street for my manicure. read more
