Came back for the burgers, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The burgers are simple, freshly formed patties cooked to order with salt and pepper, fluffy delicious roll, crunchy tangy pickles. Served with a bag of chips. Order the seasoned fries on the side. They were hot, crispy and well seasoned. The mozzarella sticks are the right kind of crispy, melty and stretchy. Dialed in and good to go.

The shrimp plate, lol look at all that breading!

Reunion Station, what a blast. The last time I was in this quaint place I was about 40 years ago as a kid and it was a pizza place. In fact that was one of my first food memories, the best pizza with fresh made mozzarella. But we aren't here to here about what it used to be. We visited this place after meeting a friend. I had the seafood platter and she opted for the shrimp plate. My only complaints would be the shrimp were barely larger than popcorn shrimp, and really what you're paying for is a whole lot of fried breading. So you order a drink, yep it comes in about a 8 ounce plastic cup and never got any refills. Dinner rolls, yep two straight out of the package and colder than the pats of butter. Service was sub par. If stopping in here I would ask questions before placing the order or might be disappointed. Mine was fine, she was not satisfied with hers at all, barely ate any of it and didn't want to wait to order something else. This place is a solid 3.5 stars, wish that were an option.

Fantastic restaurant!!! Great food, reasonable prices and friendly, efficient service. One of the best restaurants in Midcoast Maine! Never visit Maine without stopping here. And location is easy to get to right off of Route 1.

Good food, service, decent portions. Cute dinning in train car. Off the road, sort of a hidden gem.

Crock of onion soup is made with Beal broth and was super delicious. My wife had the Waldorf salad and she loved it - she said the dressing needed something, probably salt. But every restaurant in Boothbay had over an hour wait, and I can confidently say I am SO glad we couldn't get a reservation anywhere else because it led us here. The food tasted so fresh and flavorful, the drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect . Cozy but still lively with live music. Truly one of those places where nothing misses. I'm from out of state and already planning to come back next year just to eat here again. I honestly can't say enough good things about Montsweag. So worth the drive and then some!

We came back this year and as always the food was amazing. Started off with crab cakes for the table delicious bites of tender crab meat and the salad/slaw that comes with it was so good. I ended up gettin the mussels and scallop entree which paired together so well with the savory grits they come with. We also go the Tuna and Halibut specials and the steak frites which is always delicious. Amazing food as always. And our server Mark was super personable and fun we had a great time. We love coming to Franny's and will be back next year. Thanks for the great food and memories!

Exceptionally curated menu highlight classics like steak frites, comforts like shrimp and grits, and of course seasonal and local favorites like shrimp linguine, scallops and mussels. We got the Franny Bistro salad which was generously portioned: they did not skimp on the feta, bacon, or ripped/toasted focaccia. Husband got the ribs and slaw. Ribs were extremely tender and the Hoisin glaze was so savoury. I got the shrimp and grits, with good ratio of jumbo shrimp to sausage. The cheddar grits were perfectly done. Impressively personable service. We celebrated our anniversary and all three staff (host, primary waitress and food runner) all congratulated us. I think there were two primary servers and two runners that evening, but they were effortlessly moving about the room. I was very pleased with the timing of dishes and never felt like we were waiting or not being 'attended' to. Bonus: my husband and I were amongst the last patrons in the restaurant as it closed for the evening and got to meet Franny!

All of the food we…read moreordered was very tasty, our server couldn't have been better (thanks Calli) and the atmosphere and vibe was perfect for an evening at the harbor. Let's quickly get down to the good specifics. The raw oyster appetizer was just right for us: fresh, briny, large oysters (mere points, $36). The lobster bisque was thick, lots of lobster pieces ($12). The clam chowder not quite heavy enough for our preference but good and filled with of clams. Our added bonus was the yummy spinach and artichoke dip ($17). The 1 1/2 pound lobster for dinner ($39) was delicious; tasted as if hauled aboard only a few hours ago. Add in a plate of fried scallops ($34) and a Thai crunch bowl ($19) and we were thoroughly and completely satisfied. Oh yeah, a few good beers, too. Calli kept our drinks refilled and was a constant model of efficiency and good humor. The restaurant has a patio and pretty open dining inside right on the harbor. Conversation is lively but never overwhelming perhaps because it is open. We made a reservation which we'd recommend. In summer it obviously gets very busy. As it should be.

We ordered the lobster bisque , haddock bites, I had a sandwich, the fish tacos, and the fried clam bellies. The lobster bisque was OK not the best I've ever had. The haddock bites were fried crispy and very tender. The taco dish had two tacos with maybe chipotle mayo, but not very spicy quite good. The fried clams were amazing. They could have given us more of them, but they were very tender and large not just a little strips but the whole clam. They had a sandwich was Massive. There was a choice between blackened, fried or grilled, and my dining companion got the blackened. She said it was quite good. It is a real piece of fish. It came with fries as did all of the dinners. The fries were double fried and crispy. I thought it was a good meal.
