The croissant hits all the marks: super flaky incredible lamination, good choice of ham and cheese, still hot when we had it. The sticky bun has a unique flavor profile, not too sweet. Love love love everything they make in this little bakery! When we com the line is usually 6 people deep. Today it was at least 20 and doubled in size! We are regulars at Reunion, both at the Cherry Creek Farmers Market and the brick and mortar location. There are a few items we get and devour with vigor, and I order my husband panettone for his birthday every year (wish this wasn't seasonal!). It's amazing. A few of their pastries are also on rotation for us. I will say there have been a few times where my pre-order was not ready when it was supposed to be or something was slightly off, so that could be improved upon. There is also the occasional sub-par bread loaf. These are minor complaints, but given the price tag and fact they've happened a few times I can't give full marks. Reunion has the best croissants and pastries I've had in a long, long time. We had the Croissants, Pastel De Nata, and Chocolate Babka Slice. And based on that they deserve a 5-star rating but I had to go for the one-star reduction because the Pain au Chocolat that I really wanted to try was missing when I got home with my box of treats. I found this place a few years ago when it was Bon Appetit's list of best bakeries and it still is putting out phenomenal pastries. The natas are fundamentally addictive. Golfeado. Omg. I didn't know what I was missing. I came here straight from the airport after reading about this place, and it did not disappoint. I originally wanted the croissant churro but they had just run out (it was just after noon). Fortunately for me, they just had a fresh batch of their signature - golfeados, a Venezuelan pastry using croissant dough with sweet and savory notes (think crumbled cheese and star anise). I was skeptical at first since as a Chinese guy I'm used to star anise only in savory foods, but man was that layered pastry delicious. Just the perfect amount of crunch and then the soft flaky inside. I'm starting to drool just thinking about it again. Try it, you won't regret it. I ate it too fast to take any pictures. The Nutella inside was house made and really good; less creamy than the store bought kind. Wanted to love this place after having been to so many amazing bakeries in denver. Not sure if it's just that the only pastries left were ones that weren't as popular but we went there around noon on Saturday and more than half of their pastries were already sold out. There was a QR code ordering thing outside that was so weird and hard to use and turns out you can just order at the counter inside but that was not clear especially because there were people there picking up orders. Since we waited we got a free pastry which was really nice and other people got free samples of things as well. I got the dolce de leche croissant that was so good but I would say their pastries overall are kind of greasy. We also had the egg tarts and these were my favorite. They were flaky and salty but not too salty. Their special orange blossom mushroom thing was good and not greasy and looked so pretty but didn't really have any flavor. The palmier cookies were burnt and tasted bitter. Overall was not impressed for the price but definitely a trendy bakery in a cool location. If only they were in South Park Hill - sigh We walked by bakery when two fellas sitting in the middle of the market told us we need to stop a buy a sticky bun. We are so easily swayed and made a U turn back to bakery. It was late in the day so we could only snag a baguette, croissant and banana bread. But we were not disappointed by the taste. The baguette had the trademark crispy crust with an airy center. The croissant was a buttery piece of heaven. I am craving one as I write this. The banana bread is moist and balanced sweet cake with a delish crunchy oat and waltop. I am looking forward to a slice tomorrow morning with my coffee ... maybe a glass of milk. Finally tried reunion bread!!! Got the lox everything croissant which was out of this world. Still warm and so so flaky. I obviously tried a pastel de nata which was right up my alley. I had a coffee and breakfast croissant while I was there and was suitably impressed. The parking at The Source is quite odd, too. LAZ parking precharged my card $41.50 for a $5.35 parking fee. Reunion is the best bakery in the state of Colorado, hands down. This bread is the only thing keeping me sane during quarantine. They always have a wonderful variety of delicious breads, but recently on the weekends, they've been offering bundles that are so much fun and a welcomed break in the monotony of a covid world. Recently I purchased a bread and butter flight (!!!! I know!) And they had a memorial weekend package with meat from a local butcher, veggies, pickles and aioli from acorn.
