Golfeado. Omg. I didn't know what I was missing. I came here straight from the airport after reading about this place, and it did not disappoint. I originally wanted the croissant churro but they had just run out (it was just after noon). Fortunately for me, they just had a fresh batch of their signature - golfeados, a Venezuelan pastry using croissant dough with sweet and savory notes (think crumbled cheese and star anise). I was skeptical at first since as a Chinese guy I'm used to star anise only in savory foods, but man was that layered pastry delicious. Just the perfect amount of crunch and then the soft flaky inside. I'm starting to drool just thinking about it again. Try it, you won't regret it. I ate it too fast to take any pictures. Wanted to love this place after having been to so many amazing bakeries in denver. Not sure if it's just that the only pastries left were ones that weren't as popular but we went there around noon on Saturday and more than half of their pastries were already sold out. There was a QR code ordering thing outside that was so weird and hard to use and turns out you can just order at the counter inside but that was not clear especially because there were people there picking up orders. Since we waited we got a free pastry which was really nice and other people got free samples of things as well. I got the dolce de leche croissant that was so good but I would say their pastries overall are kind of greasy. We also had the egg tarts and these were my favorite. They were flaky and salty but not too salty. Their special orange blossom mushroom thing was good and not greasy and looked so pretty but didn't really have any flavor. The palmier cookies were burnt and tasted bitter. Overall was not impressed for the price but definitely a trendy bakery in a cool location. Believe, believe the hype. Reunion Bread is worthy of all the praise it has received and is getting now. I could not recommend this place more strongly and will be back. This relatively new bakery is in the Source. Very stylish space, great ambiance, easy to buy a croissant and then sit / eat or sit / work right outside the bakery. You come here for the baked goods, though, and the goods deliver. We got one of every type of bread, churro croissant, brichoe roll, and a ham and cheese croissant. All were top notch. Located at the Source, Reunion Bread is tucked away hidden in the sprawling food halls that have popped up across Denver. Although what they lack in a wide variety of products, they make up for high quality baked goods with a dabbling of different international influences. When my friend and I went, we were most excited to try their pasteis de nata, a Portuguese custard tart with lemon curd. Unfortunately, they had run out as they said it is one of their more popular offerings. Instead, they had us try their golfeados, a Venezualan sticky bun. Man! These were unexpectedly good. Baked with an anise and brown sugar glaze to provided not only a beautiful sheen, but also a perfect counterbalance to the buttery flaky crust with hints of cheese. The service was great. They were offering several products to try. There is a convenient parking lot in front but is limited for 30 minutes. Nearby is a parking lot that allows the first hour for free which may be a better option if you want to peruse some of the other places. Unfortunately, they do not validate. No ambiance, slow service. The food and coffee more than make up for the other issues. I took a loaf of chocolate babka (sp?) and a bag of granola home and they are outstanding. I had a coffee and breakfast croissant while I was there and was suitably impressed. The parking at The Source is quite odd, too. LAZ parking precharged my card $41.50 for a $5.35 parking fee. If only they were in South Park Hill - sigh We walked by bakery when two fellas sitting in the middle of the market told us we need to stop a buy a sticky bun. We are so easily swayed and made a U turn back to bakery. It was late in the day so we could only snag a baguette, croissant and banana bread. But we were not disappointed by the taste. The baguette had the trademark crispy crust with an airy center. The croissant was a buttery piece of heaven. I am craving one as I write this. The banana bread is moist and balanced sweet cake with a delish crunchy oat and waltop. I am looking forward to a slice tomorrow morning with my coffee ... maybe a glass of milk. Their croissants are buttery, flakey and airy and they have different fillings ( Nutella, everybody Nutella) and my favorite the churro flavor one, overstuffed with dulce de leche, so good! I placed an order two days in advance to pickup two loves of brioche. Once I arrived the primary baker tried to gaslight me that I placed the order for the wrong day. I did have my email confirmation to show the order was placed correctly. No big deal until he grabbed frozen bread from the freezer. I explained I would like fresh bread as I had plans for it that morning. The primary baker became increasingly agitated. The front of house ladies apologized and said it was their mistake. I am not upset about an honest mistake. I asked if I could come back later and the primary baker proceeded to throw his hands up in the air and speak about me as if I wasn't three feet in front of him. The guy serving customers just accepted money from a gentleman that licked his fingers to separate his bills then put the cash away into a money envelope and then proceeded to touch the bread with the same gloves that he then served to us. In the middle of a pandemic. Are you serious? We threw the croissant away. The worst part was he yelled out after I said something to my partner that he "was sorry I was so offended" by his behavior. Seriously gross. If you hear your customer say something like that, and you see them throw away the pastry they just bought... Maybe change your gloves out and offer them a new one that isn't gross? Reunion is the best bakery in the state of Colorado, hands down. This bread is the only thing keeping me sane during quarantine. They always have a wonderful variety of delicious breads, but recently on the weekends, they've been offering bundles that are so much fun and a welcomed break in the monotony of a covid world. Recently I purchased a bread and butter flight (!!!! I know!) And they had a memorial weekend package with meat from a local butcher, veggies, pickles and aioli from acorn. I don't care that I can't go anywhere for the holiday, I'm taken away by reunion! Plus they had brioche buns in the package, which I'm making lobster roll (buns?) with! Keep your receipt and don't order the egg toast. Croissants and coffee are excellent. The two stars I docked are for the service. There were 2 ppl ahead of us on Saturday at 10 am. We ordered a croissant and my husband ordered a coffee (not a cappuccino or anything special) and an egg toast. We went to join our friends in the foyer to wait for the egg toast and coffee; we were all in town for the wedding of the son of one of them. It took 15 min to get the coffee (that just needed to be poured). My husband had to go back repeatedly to check on the egg toast and while he was waiting his good friend (father of the groom) had to leave for wedding prep. Other people who came after us got their egg toasts already. My husband texted me from inside Bread to ask me to come to show proof of payment. We had declined a receipt because the cashier had written (we thought) his order on the paper to give to the cook. I came in and the manager was looking through his computer and said there was no sign of payment. I showed him the charge on our credit card app and told him the cashier shouldn't ask if we would like the receipt or not. She should give it to us, and tell us we need it to show it when we pick up the food. Turns out she had written the wrong thing on the piece of paper. 35 min after ordering the cook started cooking his eggs, and it took another several min. 40min just for toast topped with scrambled egg and a few pieces of sausage on top. The manager was gracious and brought us complimentary pastries and a gift card. But we live in CA so.... Can't use it. Food was excellent but service was slooooowww. read more

The pastries were a 10/10, the latte was also delicious. I would totally eat here more often if I lived closer! My only "complaint" which is probably user error is that parking out front was 30 min only, maybe there's a parking lot I missed. But don't let that deter you because the pastries were SOOO good!!!! read more

Typically, I do not like bakeries in Colorado. The high altitude and dry air seems a challenge and perhaps culturally, we are not used to great pastries. But Reunion is the exception. It is good. And not just good for Denver, but legitimately good. The options are limited but always fresh. The almond croissant while one of the better ones I have had in Denver, is not quite on par with a French bakery where the almond paste would be layered in better.
