I always like to stop at The Yard to get the jars as a mini souvenir for cities I have visited. So of course, I had to stop here. My boyfriend and I shared the Rocky Mountain sundae. The ice cream was good but it was about the same quality as what you can buy in the grocery store. The brownie on top was below average and a bit bland. I've gone to other locations and gotten the cookie dough which was great, but the ice cream at this spot was more for presentation than for taste.
Incredible place like always a have been to a few few of the yard milkshake bars and they are always on point with the variety flavors and creativity. Place was super clean. The service is good very good milkshake makers and they take pride in wat they do and do an awesome shake!!!!!
Food was delicious. Service was not as good from a couple of female workers. Terrible attitudes store shows it closes at 10 PM, but they flipped the sign at 9:30 to closed. You would think that they would be thrilled to be so busy, but it seems like they're annoyed that there are so many customers. Gentlemen with the braids was amazing and very helpful great attitude.
The service was friendly. They got busy after awhile. The screen menu changes quickly so I recommend scanning it the QR code for online menu. It has cute decor. I had the mini moo with cookies and cream ice cream and cookie dough. I loved it! It was $9. They charge a service fee, I'm guessing for using credit card. It's 4%.
Surprisingly, as many times as I've been to Denver I've not previously been to the Yard Milkshake bare - despite my serious love of milkshakes! We stopped by here for an evening treat. The shop is small, but not overly crowded. There was a small line that we walked through to order and get our shake but it moved quickly enough. I ordered a coffee mocha milkshake and it came as expected. Tasty and enjoyable. We sat at the shop and enjoyed it. I imagine there is quite a bit of traffic as by the evening the shop is not what I would call "tidy" although not out of hand......but defiantly signs of spilled ice cream, sticky spots on the tables from the day were noticeable. We probably would have taken it to go if we just got milkshakes, but my wife had a scoop which was easier to consume at the shop. The deserts were tasty and I'll likely try it again, but may take it on the go next time.
This was a really fun place. The ice cream Sunday's were out of control! We had a great time. You can definitely share they are so big. Only four stars because the service was just OK. They were so busy we waited for almost 30 minuets for our dessert. The place was very dirty. Every table was dirty with left overs and trash. They were too busy to wipe the tables, refill the napkins and the floor was sticky. Unfortunately they didn't give us an option to order with out the souvenir mason jar. I don't need another a mason jar, especially for $8.00.
My friend and I stopped in for a sweet treat, and let me tell you--we were NOT disappointed! He got two scoops (honestly, I can't even remember because my milkshake stole the show). I went with the Heath Bar Crunch vanilla milkshake, and oh my goodness--it was heaven in a cup. I mean, it didn't bring the boys to the yard, but who cares when it tastes this good?! If you're craving something sweet and seriously indulgent, this is the spot. Highly recommend--your taste buds will thank you!
Ice crrrrream!!!! It was HOTT we were in 90 degree weather and wanted to cool down. Found this on 16th mall since we were close by! I mean ice cream is ice cream there were many flavors it was okay, i got mint chocolate chip and i must say maybe a little too much mint chip my son got cookie dough and said to many cookie dough pieces like he was eating straight cookie dough. We were fishing out the ice cream. My daughter got a milk shake and i did not realize it was $20!!! It did come with a cheese cake so i guess understandable and you got to keep the cup. The service was good. One of the workers brought our ice cream and shake to the table. It was cute laid back ambiance. Fun place, especially with kiddos. The milkshakes with pie or cake or donuts and big treats on top were so fun to watch being made and would be a great treat for a group. We went in for a simple scoop and loved the selection of flavors (who doesn't appreciate blue bell!). The staff were working very hard to keep up with the long line and make sure folks got their items quickly. The mega-milkshake thing is a little gimmicky, but it's still fun.

My friend and I came in the evening. The place had a nice farmyard aesthetic. The vanilla shake was good and the blue monster shake as well. We wanted to try the specialty shakes but there wasn't enough staff available.
The menu is a bit hard to read- there's so many options and the screen rotates between a few slides so for a first timer it was overwhelming trying to decide! The menu has a wide variety and I think they have something for almost anyone. We got the August special shake- the Cookie Craze, and a cookie dough pop The pop I wouldn't do again. Just wasn't anything special for me. The shake was b e a utiful. A work of art created for social media posts! And just as tasty. The employees aren't fun like at cold stone, but maybe they're not paid enough to have fun at work idk. Would come back for the shakes!
Way too overpriced for what it is. And let's be honest my boyfriend and I were expecting to be able to get alcoholic milkshakes due to the name. But besides that I am running out of breath SUCKING on this straw trying to get some milkshake. They don't even deliver the straw with the drink when they walk past the straws anyways. Not that big of a deal but seems a little dumb imho. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but for the price? Take your money elsewhere. This is nothing to write home about. One drink. Not specialty. $12+ Also they sell the ice cream packages in their labeled jars but it's not even made in store it's blue bell ice cream packages. Tbh just avoid the store.

I saw this milkshake bar during our recent trip to downtown Denver. Since I have a sweet tooth and a fan on milkshake, of course I decided to check it out! I tried the February special-Ferrero Rocher Milkshake and it was good. They made it in a glass jar with their logo on it. There's a big sink at the back where you can wash/clean the jar up and keep it as souvenir. read more

This is my third time here and didn't eat beforehand because I wanted a sundae and knew it would be a lot. The service was ok. They were running behind and we got there shortly before closing. My complaints are from the food. The sundae was not what I expected and the cheesecake tasted off. Not spoiled off but possibly old/stale off. They ran out of the blue Cookie Monster ice cream. My husband got the mint brownie and thought the milkshake was mediocre at best. He said it was too thin for the price but presentation was great. He also said his brownie was off/potentially stale. My daughter loved her milkshake and couldn't finish it which is probably the only bright side. Honestly i doubt I will be back. The prices don't justify what was served. If you're downtown craving something crazy, then maybe try this place. But it's not worth downtown traffic if I don't feel like I've gotten my money's worth read more

Way too overpriced for what it is. And let's be honest my boyfriend and I were expecting to be able to get alcoholic milkshakes due to the name. The milkshake was good and the manger was nice . The milkshake are 15 but 5 dollars more you get the cup to it not bad and it big. The manger was a lot of help let us try flavors. The restaurant is nice and family friendly. There's so games there too . Must try! read more

1:00pm on a Sunday snow day afternoon, what else could be better than an ice cream lunch. Very nice staff, clean workspace with all those sauces and toppings. Would definitely go again but for a special occasion not an every weekend thing. Our order was around $55. read more
Two words I would use to describe Yard would be overindulgent and mediocre. I've been wanting to try The Yard for a while now and since I was in downtown I decided to go. Their focus is specialty shakes and bowls but you can get just a scoop without all the extras. Hubby and I decided to share a bowl, and it was plenty! While I enjoyed what we got, I personally wouldn't make a special trip to go back. They use Blue Bell ice cream which is fine but I can also get that at grocery stores and make my own, probably cheaper too. Since they are getting mixed reviews, my recommendation is try and decide for yourself, don't not go based on reviews. Good to know: this store is located on the 16th St. Mall, right next to a Target. You will need to park elsewhere and walk. The Denver Pavilions has a large parking garage and is only 2 blocks away (parking payment is $7). There are also a few parking lots around the area too but payment is required. read more

Walking in you just know you've hit the jackpot! I stumbled upon this on accident but so very happy that I did! The menu is quite extensive but not to worry their staff is I'll make sure you're taken care of! They were so nice and attentive that it helped curate a better vibe! Ordered the Rocky Mountain! Had to because it's only On their Denver menu! And this was everything that I wanted in a milkshake and more! So excited that you also get to keep the jar! It makes it that much better!! read more

We visited The Yard after going to the outdoor ice skating rink - it was very quiet inside which was enjoyable even when there were 2-3 other families. The menu is EXTENSIVE so be prepared because it can be overwhelming to see all the options. Super fun recipes they've put together but it is pricey. Can't say this is an every day or weekly place I'd visit because of the cost but it is definitely a treat. I selected the white chocolate marshmallow ice cream with fruity pebble topping. It was very sweet but also very tasty and I loved that they snuck in the cereal within the layers so I could still experience the crunch throughout. Being that these are intricate desserts it does take some time for the team to make them so be patient! read more

This place is insane and will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. I highly recommend bringing a friend (or two) along to share, because the bowls and shakes are huge. We had the peanut butter brownie bliss and it came with every delicious add on imaginable: a huge brownie, cookie dough pieces, mini peanut butter cups, chocolate and peanut butter syrup and whipped cream. The ice cream alone is great, so if you want something small just get a scoop. Staff was friendly and fast. Lots if tables and clean restrooms. read more

I was hesitant to buy when I saw all the ice cream was blue bell brand and not homemade but I decided to give it a try! The oatmeal pie one was super yummy!!!!! Expensive and I sadly couldn't finish it in one sitting but later that night I was wishing I had the remaining amount to enjoy!!! read more

Staff were very helpful and took the time ro explain their concept and all the varieties/combos of milkshake and ice-cream. I ordered the Doughnut touch my coffee and cream milkshake. Love, love, love it! Delicious. Just leave the calorie counting at the door. read more

Shelby was fantastic! Sunday night was non-stop customers - all happy and smiles! The place was clean and the employees were welcoming. Very tasty, very crazy. I had the Rocky Mountain and really enjoyed it. It was pricey and high calorie so maybe just a sometimes treat. The service was very patient which is good because it can take a minute just to read one flavor's makeup. When I went, it was quiet and there was a nice seat for people watching out the front window. I could imagine it hearing crazy during peak tourist hours, but see for yourself. read more
The yard milkshake bar is just what it sounds like. An amazing selection of milkshakes that both look and taste delicious. Is it a little pricey? A bit but maybe that's a good thing as going here too often would definitely be a problem. It will definitely be an occasional treat when we are in the city. read more

Waited 30 minutes for my sundae just for them to make the wrong one. I was told that they had messed up on the order and since they were just going to throw it away they said I can just keep it. That to me means that they're going to make my correct order right? WRONG! I waited 10 minutes before asking about my original order just to find out that they were not correcting my order and left me with the wrong order to enjoy. read more
Was craving something sweet and stumbled upon the yard! Had it for the first time in Austin and got to try the one here which was just as delightful as it looks. We got the milk and cookies milkshake and it was super tasty and sweet. Cookies were freshly baked and the cookie cereal was a nice touch too. A plus that the guy working there was super jolly despite doing the job all by himself (he took orders, made the orders, delivered it to us and answered the millions of questions we had) wonderful place! read more
Good location right on the 16th street mall. They have a very large selection of sundays and shakes to choose from. However, it is very pricey, especially considering they use Blue Bell ice cream. The service was backed up but did their best to be friendly and get orders out as quickly as possible. I ordered the s'mores shake which was quite good but I would not say worth the price. Overall, a good place to go to for the novelty if you are on a date or if friends and family are in town. read more
