Less than one star rating actually, as KG boards are not worthy of the prices he charges. KG may…read morehave made boards in the past that people were buying, keeping him in the biz, but currently he's a hyperbole just tryin to stay afloat. Go to his tiny rented space on Mokauea St. to see for yourself. Many 'Backyard' operations have better facilities than his which is bare-bones at that. He is a one-man operation doing everything himself which is an indication of the volume of work he's asked to do these days. He shapes mainly by eye, racing toward completion while rarely utilizing measuring tools to confirm specifications are met to the buyers' order. His glassing work is super heavy which he rationalizes is what makes his boards stronger and less vulnerable to breakage in heavy conditions. This is fine if you don't mind a classic 'tank' board. However, if you seek a performance board that's built to your specifications, go elsewhere as that's an incongruent concept to KG.
