Total rip-off. Ordered two refurbished Wireless PS3 Controllers on Dec 26, 2025 (order #710697) from retrovgames.com--supposedly with a 1-year warranty and 30-day refunds. Got them Jan 3, 2026, and both were broken: one spams ghost inputs, the other has a wobbly left thumbstick that floats and drifts. Tried fixing it: Emailed help@retrovgames.com Jan 4--nothing. Called their joke of a line (423-873-8768) Jan 8, 20, & 26 (loops to voicemail then drops). Two shady callbacks from masked WA number (206-589-3852) fed me "wait longer" BS and "email in spam" excuses, plus a Jan 21 reply demanding I resend "lost" details (while answering the original). Silence since--classic scam dodging. Don't waste your money; they're drop-shipping garbage and ghosting. I hit them with a with BBB inquiry and Amex claim, they shouldn't be in business. Wish I had checked their reviews first. read more

I purchased $151 of retro PSP games from their sight. Two games to be exact. Not sure why it took nearly two weeks to come to this conclusion. Overall just really poor service for a first time buyer with you guys. Was bouncing off the idea to make the purchase for a few weeks. The fact that you had these items listed in your storefront for weeks on the website before I ever even made the purchase just for them to be "unfunctional" blows my mind. As someone who works in shipping full time, this is just a lazy oversight. I will be leaving a negative review due to the overall lack of communication, all just to end up having to wait a month and some change to end up getting a refund. This is why people are so hesitant to make purchases with retro stores anymore. Poor overall communication, lack of effort in qc control, and whenever something goes wrong ... instant refund with a "sorry not sorry" please wait 10 days for your money back. Even though when you make the purchase it's an instant transaction. Then they wait for 5+ days to push the refund though..... I just hope after this review it can detour someone who is on the fence about a purchase. No person who spends their hard earned money should be treated in this fashion. read more

Not a legitimate company! Do not buy here. Months of excuses for where my item was, and no refund for losing it. This is a fraudulent company, it is a scam. Pretend to have customer service but does not. Paid for my item, was never delivered. Called as soon as complications started happening, they only kept stringing me along like they were going to help and never did and never offered refund. read more

Absolutely horrendous experience. Items were ordered for Christmas. 6 weeks later we received a knock off device which isn't capable. We ordered an official Super Nintendo and they sent a cheap knock off. They refuse to help or reply in any way. Their original plan was to have ME send them back their wrong order, hold my actual order hostage and do nothing. Still no result over 2 months later. They simply don't reply. Ordered a Gameboy and was charged for it. After receiving order confirmation, never received shipping notice nor package. At this point trying to contact the seller to cancel the order but having zero success so far. Save your money and do not buy from them. read more

Do not order from these guys. Getting a hold of customer service is a joke and goes to the recording then times out. I purchased a gaming system and they never shipped the game. They will not answer phone calls or emails. Save your money. You can find better items in a flea market. What a joke! read more

I ordered an Xbox back In Nov. 2025 for a Christmas gift for my son. At the time they were running a promo, get two controllers and games included so I got it. After opening the gift for Xmas discovered they sent me the wrong Xbox! After submitting my info. they reached out to me, then lost my claim and told me to send everything again. Second time around I only took pics of the Xbox since that's what was wrong. I was sent the wrong Xbox a second time, with no wires, controllers, or games. I sent back the wrong Xbox and finally got the correct one in March! I didn't get any controllers or games. They are now telling me the order never came with multiple controllers or games and unless I can prove it with pics or order info I can't get a refund or the additional items. Since it's taken so long my email and pics have auto deleted. When they sent out the original order info. they only showed and included the Xbox, with one controller. When I sent back my original order to them it weighed 9lbs 5oz. A single Xbox and controller with cords won't equal that amount that amount shows there were other items in the box. They can't or won't pull up the original order they received from me. When you call the # it's the same person answering every time. You never get a call back from them, only email responses. The one time I did get a call was an accident as I could hear adults and kids talking. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM AND FRAUD read more

Ordered N64 with 3 controllers, goldeneye game, HDMI output and memory card. Only the console and 3 controllers showed up. Unresponsive with my 3 emails so far. Not please at all. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM RETRO VGAMES - SCAMMERS & FRAUDSTERS! If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. My experience with Retro vGames has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare, and I am sharing this in hopes of preventing others from falling victim to their deceitful practices. On January 10th, I finally found and ordered Wii Sports Club for my autistic son - a game he cherishes and asked for as one of only two Christmas gifts. After searching extensively online, I found Retro vGames, which appeared reputable with a 4.6-star rating. Little did I know, I was about to be scammed out of $109 and put through the most frustrating customer service experience imaginable. The Scam Unfolds: The website promised 5-7 day shipping, but the package never arrived. Their chat system provided me with a fake tracking number, claiming the package would arrive on January 27th. On the 27th, USPS marked it as "delivered" - yet nothing was received. I contacted their horrendous customer service, and after struggling to understand a heavily-accented representative named "Harry Wilson" (clearly a fake alias), I was given a NEW tracking number that suddenly claimed the package was actually delivered on January 21st. Problem? I have security cameras monitoring all deliveries. There was no package on the 21st. No notifications from USPS. Nothing was delivered. Their Ridiculous "Resolution" Process - AKA More Scams I was instructed to file a USPS claim and provide a service request number #. Done. No response. I followed up, only to be told to now file a police report. I went through the trouble of filing a report at the police station and sent it to them. Their response? "We will reship and provide a new tracking number." Guess what? So far. No tracking number. No package. No refund. NOTHING. They also manipulate reviews! - Don't Trust Their Google Rating! 4.6 is BULLSHIT!! Retro vGames floods Google with fake 5-star reviews to appear trustworthy. A quick look at BBB, TrustPilot, and Yelp tells the REAL story - they have an "F" rating on BBB with dozens of complaints identical to mine. The Bottom Line: They lie about shipping. They provide fake tracking numbers. They will run you in circles until you give up. They steal money from honest people. They crushed my son's excitement for his favorite game. STAY FAR AWAY FROM RETRO VGAMES! DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY! If you've been scammed, dispute the charge IMMEDIATELY and report them to the BBB. read more

I purchased a PSP 3000 along with a game and the game came without the white cover, which is completely useless at that point. Then the game console was unusable! On the manual it said I can get a refund or a replacement. I asked for a replacement and they said they'll give me a refund, fine, then weeks later they said they can't give me a refund at all. They sent me a new PSP which thankfully worked, but they made me pay for express shipping, which I wasn't aware of until I had to go to the post office to get the console. Not to mention when you email the help desk they take forever to respond back and when they do, they give you ChatGPT responses which don't align with the questions you asked. read more

Please do not buy anything from this trash ass company. They have sent me three broken units, and not to mention I didn't get my games with my unit had to wait on those. And I never got my memory card. After I did a dispute with my credit card and got my money back they decided to reach out to me but in the meantime of all my broken units there's about 25 emails I sent them with no response. Please do not waste your money their company sucks ass. And the customer service is even worse. They will harass you about to dispute, so I'm like where was this customer service at when I needed you. They get no stars and the company in whole is trash. And not to mention they dropship from eBay. So you be better off just going to eBay. Or GameStop retro v games is donkey dick. read more

Scam. Place is overpriced and they do NOT honor Price Charting prices. Very hard to work with and exceptionally rude.

About 1 1/2 months ago I ordered a Nintendo 3DS from RVG and it came in within a few days. Upon playing the game, it started to freeze almost instantly so I called R VG and spoke to Alan, who was very helpful. He said he could process a refund or do an exchange either one. I called the lender and advise them that the unit was defective and for some reason, they opened a dispute. What a mess that was. It wasn't Alan's fault. It had nothing to do with RVG at all. Long story short I finally got the dispute closed and informed Alan who ordered me a replacement that came in within two days. The game system is working beautifully and I'm very pleased with the customer service I received from this business. I received the lowest price possible on this Nintendo 3DS, and it was a great value for the money. read more

Decent game selection. Consoles are overpriced and dirty, beat up. Never ever do online orders because they will be drop shipped from eBay.

I purchased the wrong game for our console at Christmas time. At first the return process was smooth, I emailed for return instructions and I received a quick reply with needing pictures of the item, the package I mailed back, and the tracking information. I sent all of that and received a response that they have all they need and once they receive the item I will receive my refund. The item was delivered almost a month ago and I have emailed several times with no response and no refund. Have contacted BBB but still have no response from retrovgames. I would not recommend doing business with them. read more
