After checking out the card store, we saw a game store on the other side of the building. Since we had already parked we decided to check it out. Entrance is a little tricky to get too so park on the side near the card store and walk around to the front of the building. Upon entering we were greeted with a HUGE selection of games, everything from NES to current Xbox, PS5 and Switch. Even had some cabinet games you could try out. Behind the counter they had some harder to find titles and some tables between rows was like a mini nerd yard sale with figures, books, crafts, etc. Husband picked up a gunpla model kit from 1980s, I got pokemon pinball for my game boy and some DS games I had been looking for. Price wise was about what I expected for what I got, seemed about middle of the road. On the left side of the building is a DVD section and fairly expansive comic book selection. Husband looked over what they had but nothing really stood out, we mostly came for the retro games. Guy behind the counter was super helpful and friendly, answering any questions we had about their stock and condition of the games. If we're in the area I plan on stopping back in and seeing what new stock they have on hand. read more

Complete in Box is one of the best "video game" stores in Eastern/Central PA, because it has so much more than just that. It's located at the Trout Run Business Center in a storefront that faces the highway. Parking is located on the side of the building. Store has expanded at some point since my last review, making it one of the largest video game stores in the region. Left side of the store has an extensive selection of comic books with many longboxes and wall books. They have more longboxes than many comic book stores but don't offer new pulls. Graphic novel selection is large, and they also have a fair selection of Manga. Middle of the store houses the large selection of video games and DVD/Blu-ray's. The video games are well organized and easy to browse. The DVD/Blu-ray's also includes a selection of Anime. The right side of the store houses their selection of video game consoles with them being located behind the counter. Toys and collectables are located on several tables, with most of it being a large selection of Pop Vinyl's. Most of the Pop Vinyl's are average to midrange price, with some clearance and rare ones also being available. Arcade machines are in the back and functionality tends to be hit or miss, perhaps the stores only weakness. Service here is usually good despite the store being constantly busy. Overall, Complete in Box is absolutely worth a visit, even if you are looking for items other than Video Games. read more

I'm disappointed. I went here today, and while my experience with the video game side of the store was excellent, my first impression here was absolutely terrible, and it's 100% because of the person working the comic book side. I can't remember the last time I encountered someone as dismissive or discourteous. As someone that's worked retail on south street for 10 years, I know how retail can be. It's not an easy, fun, or glamourous job and people tend to awful to retail workers, so I try and be the easiest customer I can be. That said, this dude treated me like an inconvenience from the second I said hello. There were like 2 customers in the entire store, and he was just chilling behind the counter. I really hope this was just a bad day for him or something. The whole Randal from Clerks attitude without the humor isn't a great way to make people come back to your store, and does nothing but cause people to let others know you're just kind of a jerk and that their money is better spent elsewhere. To any new customers, when entering the store, go in the second door along the front wall. That'll take you right to the video game side. They were nice, helpful, and friendly on that side. read more

Awesome little gem I stumbled on during the Jingle Bell Tour! They have a wide selection of retro and current gen games. All their sections are clearly labeled whick makes it easy to find what you're looking for, and true to their name they have a decent among my of games complete in the box. They also have a small stock of anime and manga, and a sizeable stock of comics. They have the standard fair of mugs, posters, and other little trinkets you would expect from a game store. They also have some arcade machines set up. Unfortunately they are not sure in operation at the moment due to covid. Some of the prices are a little higher than I would expect, but somr were a little lower as well. All in all its a great store with a variety to offer. This is the best gaming retailer I have ever visited. I'm old, so seeing the original NES and SNES games and hardware put a giant smile on my face. The employees are beyond knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. I wasn't able to save my progress on Zelda for NES. Not only did they tell me there was a battery in the game that saved your game, they were actually able to put a new one in for me. I will only go here for the few gaming needs I still have. Probably will get the new Xbox here once I decide to pull the trigger. A+ and then some! read more

Complete in Box does retro video games right. I had a wonderful time browsing their selection of NES games and beyond. A delightful shopping experiences with a wide selection! I wish that prices were a little bit cheaper, but I understand that with the popularity of retro video gaming sales on ebay and beyond, it is getting a bit tough to find stock. So while prices seem to be about equal to ebay, here you have the chance to take a look at carts/discs/cases and see what the prices are. I especially appreciate that they are selling so many games "complete in box"-- a lot of retro game stores have a limited selection in their original boxes with manuals. This place advertises right in its title for them and doesn't disappoint. read more

First the good things about this store. They have a great selection of modern and retro video games. They have some retro games that I not seen in person anywhere else. They also have a good selection of comic books and video game related toys. The store is large and clean. Next is the what ever. The parking for this store is a bit odd, you have to park along the side of the building in front of other business and walk down some steps to get to the store. They also do used game mystery packs on newer systems, I have not seen that done anywhere else. Now for the bad. This is the most expensive video game store I have been to in the area. A good store will be below eBay prices, an average store will be at eBay prices, this store was above eBay prices. read more

My favorite video game store and the only one I go to! The owner Spenser is great and super nice and helpful Trevor is also great they are both super knowledgeable about all things gaming! I love it here because they carry multiple types of games and systems whether your looking for something old to play like Nintendo 64 games or even the console to something new for the PS4! They also take trade ins and not just video games they take funko pops,action figures, dvds, and even amiibos. Complete inbox also has a large collection of comic books as well for pretty affordable prices. They also do preorders for games with a minimum of $5 you have to put down.If this store wasn't already amazing they also have a free arcade, there are multiple games there to play and it's super fun to just take some time to play or just browse around the store! You do realize the reason there's a lot of games is because no ones buying them. You got tons of common games that are overpriced. $7 for rolling thunder and other common games on NES? That's crazy. there's a reason you have 20 of most of your commons. $80 for a game.com? Really? $80? its not even in the box! Ocarina of Time for 37 loose. $10 for one of the most common games on the 5200, berzerk. Do yourself a favor and buy these games at other stores or on ebay. You will get them for 25%-50% less.... This game store has a huge selection. It is definitely not because it is overpriced though. They just work so hard to make sure that their selection stays full and unique. Most game stores I go into have crappy shelves and all their titles out of order. I love the selection they have for Super Nintendo Entertainment System, such as Shadowrun and Out of this World. read more

The first time you walk into complete in box you'll notice that there is not an employee that is ready to try and sell you preorders for games that aren't coming out for over a year yet. so it's already better than gamestop. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The selection of games from atari to ps4 is huge as well as dvds and blu rsys. Assuming you walk in the main entrance you'll be in the video game room to your right you'll see a table with different items for sale that you would typically need to track down on ebay. The back wall has all the old systems they have for sale all come with a warranty. I want to say 2 months but not sure. Now they recently expanded the second room is a free arcade and comic book store. I want to say there are 8 to 10 arcade machines to play I don't know much about comics but from what o can tell they have a nice collection and it's growing. whenever you come in you know you'll be greeted and left to look around without a sales rep down your throat like gamestop. However if you need the help ask anyone there and they will be more than glad to help I've always thought I get a little bit more trade in credit compared to gamestop they used games are cheaper even the new games come out to 60 even after taxes. But the best part is of I go in and buy let's say call of duty. They won't ask me if I want to pre order all the games coming out that year. They don't look at you like a deer looks at an oncoming train if you don't like halo or liked something that everyone else thought sucked. They also have video game tournaments I've never participated but I know they usually have pretty good turnouts Every gamer needs to at least come in and check it out you won't be disappointed read more

Complete in Box is the only place I go to purchase anything video game related. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They always had an answer for any question I had. Even if they didn't know, they would look it up without hesitation. They have a great selection of new and used games. They have an amazing retro gaming selection as well. Every time I visit It takes me back to my childhood. Besides the above awesomeness, I believe they have donated gaming systems to the local library as well as the local hospital. From what I've seen of the store, the guys really love their jobs, and according to their website, it is or was family owned. They have anything from the Atari to Switch, and everything in between. They were really friendly, and they have free arcade machines along with a Wii U, SNES, and Xbox One. Best of all, the games they sold were discounted. Great Selection, Great Atmosphere, literally everything you could want out of a game store. Good prices on New and Used Games, usually some decent music playing in the background, and the staff is super friendly. The only issue there might be, and I only bring this up because I've seen it happen a few times, is the staff sometimes gets too into a conversation with a customer and others are left waiting for a little bit. Never more then a minute or 2 but it does occasionally happen. Over all it's a great store, great location, and they recently expanded so they have plenty of room. This place is great! They have retro gaming along with new systems. The prices are reasonable and the arcade games aren't bad. The only thing I request is that they have their buy 2 get 1 free deal more often! I'd be there every weekend if this deal was around more often. read more
