Wow what a great surprise in Lancaster. Was passing through and saw an IG and wanted to check it out and glad I did. The location is big, plenty of parking, and is a large space full of fun goodies. The staff here are so chill and friendly and welcoming. The selection of goods is incredible. Tons of collectibles, cards of every type, retail goodies, and literally every video game system and games. They are super knowledgeable and they even offer trade ins for your old/unwanted things. It's my inner child's heaven but now that I have adult money I can treat my self! . Whatever for interests from anime, figurines, video games, movies, music you'll be able to find something cool. Finally got a chance to check out the new location. Very big, very cool, and loved it. Staff helped if we needed anything. Turning at the right intersection to get to the store was my only issue. I just parked at the Rita's. The selection is very large, and the pricing was okay. read more

This location of Just Press Play is in the Lancaster Shopping Center, being close to the Giant. It had been several years since my last visit, and the interior has significantly changed with the store carrying a much more diverse stock. To start, they have a wide selection of video games across many generations. Some games are kept behind the glass counter, but they had plenty of staff to help if you needed it. The middle of the store has a poorly placed bottleneck between the glass counters due to people standing there, looking, and checking out at the registers. What impressed me was the selection of non-video game items including things from local crafters, Japanese model kits, figurines, and various other toys and collectables. Overall, aside from the bottleneck in the middle of the store, this might be one of the better video games stores I've ever visited. read more

Love a nitche gaming store and Just Press Play is a prime example of this. They carry something for everyone from current gen games to older ones from the 80s and beyond. They recently revamped their store as well to carry a plethora of plushes, blind boxes, DVD/Blu rays, Gundam, and figures. Staff are super friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have. Price wise its on par with other stores and online shopping prices I've seen. Just have a price range in mind when you go in. Some rarer items are a little high but take into consideration you don't have to pay shipping and are supporting a small business. Knocked off a star because while I do love their expanded selection, it feels like they're trying to hit too many demographics, simillar as to what Gamestop has started doing pushing toys and card games since Toys R Us went under. Store is a bit claustrophobic after their remodel and is overwhelming at the amount of non game stuff they sell now. I miss the simplified layout that focused on console games but understand you need to cater to your audience. read more

Not sure if is for the new Mega Store on Lincoln Hwy but if it is it is AMAZING. The store is huge and has just about everything. Best thing is the staff especially the manager, Tyler Brown. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is especially helpful for people who are not sure what they are looking for. I don't think I have ever met anyone who knew so much about video games. read more

Love this shop! I went in looking to exchange one of my games towards the purchase of another, and their offer was better than their national-chain competitor. In addition, they had a bunch of super friendly staff who offered me advice on picking out a game my kid would enjoy and I was able to pick up a used copy for a very reasonable price. The experience was so enjoyable that I spent extra time perusing the rest of the store. They had a lot of fun vinyl records from video game soundtracks, to movie scores, to popular music! They also had a pile of retro games that I enjoyed looking through. Thoroughly recommended, even if you just want to do some window shopping. I suspect you'll find something you like! read more

I would give my experience a 0 if that was an option. I just left the mega store and I will tell you this our family will no longer be visiting this establishment ever again and we are loyal customers. What my husband and I witnessed today though left us in dismay and embarrassed that we were loyal customers. A gentleman came in and the employees were just standing around so the gentleman waved to get someone's attention. Well, the someone that helped him was rude and condescending. You never treat a paying customer in this manner not even a non paying customer. I was appalled standing there witnessing this. The employee just continued to be rude and talk to the customer like he was garbage but yet kept egging him on. So unacceptable I would be ashamed to have an employee like this!!! read more

Finally got around to making some trade ins and got some great deals! I got better trade offers here than I've ever gotten from a game store. You have 2 options which are cash or store credit. I've always elected to go with store credit so I'm not sure what I would have gotten for a cash trade in, but I was more than satisfied with the store credit they gave me. Having dealt with the employees a few times I can say they are all friendly and professional. Great game store! read more

The absolute gold standard in vintage and new video game stores. Excellent trade in values, pricing is spot on and very reasonable, staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they even have a great selection of vinyl! We were ready to drop about $70 on a used Nintendo game and other things but the guy had an attitude about letting us test the game on our DS. He basically said Nintendo games don't have problems and implied we were checking the game to download the Pokémon on the used game. He said "I know that trick". read more

Great selection and helpful staff. However when I go there I basically want to buy whatever games I dont have for the current set I am going for that are at a good price. The employees have to take out like half the games from a case because all the prices aren't visible. Most of the prices are pretty high so I might find 4 games at a good price out of the 30 I looked at. Then I have to open each one from its little plastic sleeve to see if its complete (like double case ps1 rpgs and such). I end up buying maybe 2 games for all that effort. If the store had visible prices, marked whether the game is missing anything (manual, maps, sleeves, etc) and had prices that are closer to pricecharting.com and gamesvaluenow.com it would be 5 stars. read more

010818 Caveat emptor. (Buyer beware) Last Summer I bought a replacement controller. It didn't work and had to take it back for an exchange. This Christmas (2017) kids got a game, it wouldn't read. Had to take it back and go to their other location for it. Not saying it's a bad store. But you are buying mostly used stuff. read more

great place to get vintage games you miss playing, great service, it's good to see at least some places care about preserving gaming history, unlike the arrogance of others that just want to push forward into half baked crap and digital trash, if you never played ps1 or 2, or Xbox or Xbox 360, try it some day, I personally like it better than the new gen consoles, but that's just me. read more

This was our 3rd and final stop on the PSP game run of June 2016. Once we walked in the front door I knew we had hit the mother load. This location has it all. I do mean ALL. First thing PSP games. There's a rack inside the front door similar to the Willow location. However this time the shelf was about five rows deep. My nephew ended up with 3 more PSP games and then he picked up SSX Tricky And SSX 3 for the PS2. BTW all of the PS2 gams were Buy one get the other for half price. A steal really for those 2 games. I think the price came to like $7 for them alone. Second, I took look around the store and noticed on the top shelf that circles the entire room a ton of classic gaming system boxes. I asked the lady working the counter if they were all just old empty boxes and she said no, every one of them had their hardware which kinda made my jaw drop. I saw a Commodore 64 and it's accessories. An Atari 5200 with extra controllers. Even a Coleco Adam kit that had the printer that sounded like a machine gun. That's a fact. Another gem that caught my eye was an old Vectrex system. If you don't know what that is, it was the first attempt to make a vector graphic based gaming system. Examples of vector graphic systems would be the old coin op games like Asteroids, Tempest, Star Castle, etc. It's one heck of a find. If had somewhere to put the system I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. There was so much more I don't have time to describe it all, however I've added a few pictures. All in all, this was my favorite location of the Just Press Play round robin trip we made. I'll definitely be visiting again on future trips to the area. My nephew also made out. On our haul today he ended up with 8 PSP games and 2 PS2 games. That's a pretty good start. Definitely check this place out for your retro needs! read more
