Twice happy I've ordered patches from AYP twice now, both times have been during the recent covid and intl. Shipping mess. Both times, the orders came only a couple days "late", which is to say the shipping widget says "3-5 business days to most major centers", and each time the order arrived on the 7th business day, and I don't live in a "major center." The patches themselves are great quality for good price. They come as they appear on the website, no bootleg or shitty screen copy versions here. I've never had cause to contact the customer service team, but confirmation emails are thorough and have clear info ensuring I know what's going on. The only thing I would caution canadian buyers on, and this isn't about AYP but the shipper they use, "Globalpost", is that once your shipment hits canada, Globalpost will just hand your package over to Canada post and wash their hands of your delivery, so if you order expedited or priority shipping and your tracking info on the Globalpost site just stops in some random spot, check with Canada post in your city - they probably have your package. read more

This place is a hidden gem among the residential block of Orange street it hides in. My friend was searching for less trafficked stores to score some new clothes and came across Angry Young and Poor. After browsing the website and looking up directions, she insisted we had to go. I'll have to admit; they definitely sell different stuff in the store than I expected (which I told the employee working there). I'd say about 90% of their female clothing on display was pinup/rockability which I loved, but my friend was definitely shocked by. They also had men's clothing, music (records, etc), handbags, and shoes; if you see stuff on their website, bring in your list! If it's not on the floor, the employees call over to the warehouse and have it brought out for you! They have some great brands (Sourpuss, Rock Steady, Stop Staring, Switchblade Stiletto and more), so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a look! read more

I come from a small town a little over 5 hours (250 miles) away from Lancaster, so I thought this store was absolutely awesome. I've never seen anything like it! Great music, atmosphere, and merchandise. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you like Green Day, Johnny Cash, the Misfits, etc. (just to name some more popular artists/bands.) Terrible online customer service. Their return policy is abysmal. I had been using their website every no and then for 15 years. The last couple times I had issues with my purchases. I decided to return the last pair of pants I got because they weren't as described, and just terrible quality. Customer service was rude. Honestly I've been ordering stuff from here since I was like 16 and I'm 34 now. Super bummer when I ordered a jacket and didn't like it. Tried to return it for the refund. I paid this obnoxiously large amount to have it shipped back within the return policy time. I shipped it well before the 2 month period but as you can imagine mail was running slow at the peak of Covid. Whatever. It ended up arriving there like a day later than 60 days. The amount of rude emails sent back to me when I asked for the refund. Like straight just sinisterly mean and rude. Like whatever man. I want to support small punk stores all the time. Awesome selection of apparel with a few expensive items like Doc Martens or Fred Perry (not over-priced however), a wall of vinyls, and cool miscellaneous merch like patches, accessories etc. It's always a good time with interesting finds. *Anecdote* I was visiting Lanc and decided to stop by one time with my 60-yr old, conservative and country music-loving, fairly thick accented, African mom and she loved it! It came rusty and 20 years old-looking right out the bag, but I didn't bother returning it as the return shipping would have cost half the belts price. I didn't realize it until I took a step out of the store, but I totally used to order from this store online when I was 14! Being in suburbia and without a car, I took what little money I scraped together to buy punk rock t-shirts off their online website. Having poor working class parents, I would work as a server during the summer to get enough money to buy some clothes and maybe a few records- my uniform were doc martens, jeans, and a black punk t-shirt- aus-rotten, zounds, caustic christ, you name it. A decade later, I'm still into the same music, but I've toned it down to become a teacher. Instead of sporting t-shirts with a crucifixed Jesus, I'm wearing button up blouses and skirts, my hair is a "normal" color, and I took out every piercing I've ever had (never could take care of them). My also "punk rock turned educator" SO from Atlanta who has a compulsion to check out every damn record store in every town he visits decides to check out Lancaster county to pop his "Amish spotting" virginity (don't ask for an explanation), so of course we browse every other punk record store in town. Despite being outwardly "normal" these days we love picking up a punk album or two and I personally still enjoy browsing the racks of punk / rockabilly clothes I eyeballed as a teen but (still) couldn't afford. I felt like a lot of this stuff was familiar to me, from the selection of record titles to style of clothing but only realized when I looked at their logo when I was leaving that this was my punk rock oasis during my teenage years. I was so happy that it was still thriving (and pretty busy!) and selling the exact same stuff when I have forgotten about it all these years. there are two types of punks: the punks that become disenchanted with mainstream culture, for one reason or another, and decide to live an individualistic life among like-minded people, and the punks that rebel against "society" in any way whatsoever just to piss other people off. although the merch at this store is great, the overall attitude seems to just be an overall anti- with no particular rhyme or reason. does anyone really want or need a che guevara alarm clock? the answer is no. i overlooked my problems with this place because they have some really great clothing, but i could hear my husband grinding his teeth outside the dressing room. we left as fast as we could and i dont think i could have been more disappointed with the shop itself. however, i'll give them the second star because i rarely find clothes i like, and i really liked a lot of the stuff here. the clientele of this shop are the same people that shop at hot topic. teenagers with their parents mostly. there was also an elderly couple that looked very out of place. read more

I was very excited to visit this store when I made a trip to Lancaster, and it was well worth it. They have avast amount of vinyls from the usual bands like Green Day to the obscure like Backslider. Their vinyl prices are some of the best I seen, so you will not break the bank here. Never heard of this place until I wanted to buy some shirts for a punk fan friend in Japan. I've only dealt with their customer service by email, but every response I got from them was not only extremely fast (beyond MY expectation) but more than adequate - unlike my questions. I asked a lot of stupid questions too and they fielded all of it prompt n proper.
