Meaning they will assume you want a service or product such as Memberships and warranties and will sign you up for it unless you explicitly state that you don't want a renewal AND correctly navigate their obfuscated pin-pad options to ensure your are not automatically signed up. If you have ever gotten an auto-renewal charge for gamestop that you know you didn't sign up for, it's because an employee at a store like this one signed you up for it without your consent or hid the renewal in their rushed pin-pad prompts. They did exactly this to my family at this location and then tried to hide their district manager's information from me when I called to complain (though it was easy enough to find online anyway). They even automatically saved my card info so they could auto renew without my consent.

Reserved/paid for 2 games online with our gift cards for store pick up on Saturday. Came back with a payment error but no way to fix the payment or even tell us what was wrong. Called the store and confirmed the games were there but no order came through. They could hold the games for us for an hour or so if we showed up, thinking maybe the system was just stuck. Drove an hour or so to find one employee working with a growing line of disgruntled customers. Luckily we were fairly early in line but there was nothing Michelle could do for us after exhausting all her resources. She gave us the store help number to call as she tried to handle the rest of the crowd. After an hour and a half on the phone we finally narrowed it down to a gift card glitch, canceled our order and just bought the games outright with the refunded balance. After this we're done with GameStop. I hope Michelle got some help after we left because multiple people were giving her problems about why it was taking so long. Shame on GameStop for treating their customers and employees like dirt.

Upon entering, two staff greeted us warmly, and proceeded to offer a tour of the store. The owner has set up multiple interactive areas for customers: a general play area in the back with about 5 or 6 tables with chairs; a mouth-watering library of tabletop games; a consignment shelf where individual sellers can sell used games; a small snack stand; a couple of try-it-yourself stands for specific games; and a small aisle where you can buy the materials to make your own game. One of the staff generously offered to sit and play a game of our choosing with us from the lending library. We played Wingspan with him and admired that he had only played the game once before, he knew the rules really well and was a competitive match for us, who had played several times more than he had. A customer can pay 5 percent of the cost of the game in the library in order to borrow it for a week. Upon returning the game, the 5 percent payment can be used to deduct from cost to purchase the game, if you decide you want to buy it.
