Within 10 minutes, I'd found one album I haven't been able to find in almost a decade and another that I honestly thought I'd never find. The store looks small...but the kicker is the owner is a true collector and understands what people who collect vinyl are trying to find. You won't see 20 copies of an album by someone that only their mother knows record an album. There's solid selection of used vinyl from artists that matter like Bowie or the Stones or Beatles or Rush. He has some new vinyl, which isn't my thing, but those currently hopping on the vinyl trend will have something for them. And Chuck knows his crap when it comes to records. If you want to do business with someone who knows what he's doing and prices his items in line with what collectors will pay (and not just rip you off like flea market folks do), you need to come here. I wish he wasn't 1,200 miles from my home. Bottom line: The R.I.P. in Chuck's R.I.P. Records really stands for Really Important Place.

I have nothing bad to say about this store, other than nobody plowed the main entrance after a major snowstorm, which made it hard to get to. But the guy working at the store was present and offered to help me find anything if I needed help.

What a little gem of a store!…read more For my birthday I went on a multi-state adventure for records. I had not originally known about this store but it showed up as being on the route I would be taking. Knowing nothing about this store, it seemed like a gamble. When we arrived it was 2 minutes before they opened. We walked down to the store slowly and it was now past opening time. The door was locked. We waited a few minutes...still locked. I was considering calling it a day on this one but my partner suggested waiting until 10 minutes past opening time just to give them a chance. ...and boy is she a smart lady! They opened the door 2 minutes later and when I went inside I was overwhelmed. This was a store that I had added to my itinerary last minute and I ended up getting 6 albums here and spending over $100. These were all things I had been looking for, even...some of which I had issues finding other than online in pricy situations. Staff and owned were great...other than opening a few minutes late, but really, who cares when you can get such good finds? They also sell electronics if you need a system to play your new finds on! I cannot wait to go back.

My taste can be niche but it gets to a point when I find a vinyl I actually like and I get home and find something else inside of it. While I am at it I also want to say the music they play in there is crazy. Roxy Saint? The fetal alcohol syndrome lady? Love her to death but god who is making the playlist for this place?
