The lady who I spoke with, I don't know if she's the owner or an employe of The Nutmeg Home, she was so lovely to chat with, and mentioned how pretty soon she has to update the inventory to fall pieces. This store has such a vibrant and fresh look to it. The prices are appropriately priced for most of the items in this store. I can't wait to see what kind of home decor will be there in the fall.

They do have someone who works to fix up furniture before it is sold, so anything you buy here will likely be ready to display in your house. Also, while I didn't find anything today, I have previously purchased furniture here and my advice would be not to be afraid to negotiate, especially if you are buying multiple pieces. The store has so many cool and interesting little things, like beaded keychains, hair accessories, candles, jewelry, greeting cards and decor. Some of it is vintage and some is locally hand made. The back of the store is the thrift clothing section. Everything looks to be in excellent shape. There's also records, shoes and purses. I saw a Dior coat, and some items by Burberry and by Alexander McQueen. They are selective about their selection of items they accept. There isn't any of that awful stuffy smell. It feels and looks like everything is brand new. It's easy to look and touch things without the fear of everything falling. This store isn't stuffed at all.
