This place was recommended to me as really good so I have tried to get in this place on 3 different occasions and the doors are ALWAYS LOCKED. Twice at 4 p.m. right after work and once during the week at 1 p.m. and doors are locked and Noone ever answered the phone. I have called 4 times. We bought a new bed frame months ago and kept struggling to find a good mattress to go with it. We tried a place in Branford, went to Jordan's twice, and couldn't agree on anything. My friend said his parents got their bed at Restopedic so we gave it a shot. When we parked, we weren't quite sure we were in the right spot as it looks, I'm sure, exactly how it did in the '60s. (The main pic on Yelp is exactly how it looks - like a nondescript factory-ish building). Inside there's a small 'show room' area with about 8 beds. Kathy, the saleswoman, was helping another couple but told us the two beds to try out that were on the firmer side. We sort of hopped back and forth between the two and my back felt better on one so we decided to go for it. I couldn't believe when I read the price tag that this locally made, king size bed was $950. Similar ones at Jordan's would be running us $1500+. This place isn't super modern but that seems to work in the customer's favor - we paid tax on the mattress, but no delivery fee! They make the mattresses right there in the factory portion of the store (visible from the 'showroom' area). We've only had the bed a week so we're still getting used to it. The biggest positive is that, since they make the beds there, if you're not happy, they can take it back and add/take away some layers to make it softer or firmer. At this point, you would pay a delivery fee to have it brought back again, but still a deal. The place in Branford had no exchange, no refund, etc. so if you hated it, you were stuck. Jordan's is $150 if you want to swap out your mattress. So far, I am happy we only paid about $1000 and can get it altered if necessary. Kathy was very pleasant to work with and I'd highly recommend going to this place to check out their mattresses! I bought a queen Sonata mattress from Restopedic in Sept 2015. I was looking for a firmer mattress because my old one was so squishy it was giving me back problems The new mattress was great for about 6 months. I was very diligent about turning the mattress as Restopedic had instructed me. But during the first year, it started sagging. No amount of turning could compensate. So, less than 5 years later, I'm looking for another mattress. Yes, you are buying direct from the manufacturer and there are nice people over there. But for whatever reason, my mattress didn't hold up. I'll be looking elsewhere when I buy again. read more

Two friends recommended Restopedic to me and I'm so glad they did! I've had back problems for forty years and have had three spinal fusions. For the past 15 years I've been sleeping on one of those memory foam "pedic" mattresses. We got their Winterscape mattress which is foam and coils. We love this mattress!! For the first time in years I slept like a rock and didn't feel like I was 90 years old when I woke up!! Easy to check out what they have, no pressure to buy. Joe and Cathy were awesome to deal with and went out of their way to assure me that I got a mattress that was comfortable since I have sciatica and need a good mattress. They really care about their customers. My experience with them is proof of that. I am sleeping rest fully now. Oh and they also sell these great pillows. We bought a mattress for our son at Restopedic about 8 years ago, and it is still going strong. Recently when we had a lot of company coming for the weekend, we had to make some rearrangements in the sleeping department, and my wife slept on our son's bed for several nights. She said his mattress was so comfortable that she thought it was better than our premium king-size from another makers. So now we are going to shop a bit early to replace our master bedroom mattress at Restopedic. It is a very nice local company here in Connecticut. If you want to get a great bed at a reasonable price, take the drive to Bethany and try out the Restopedic options. While the "ambience" is very spare and industrial, I don''t think you will be disappointed with what they have to offer. read more

We went in last Saturday, met with Kathy who was incredibly knowledgeable, picked out our latex mattress "components", they built and delivered it yesterday, just 5 days later! We had a great night of sleep and know this mattress will serve us well for many years to come! The price was extremely reasonable, MUCH better than any of the mattress chains we visited. I think that if Chris S. would have contacted Restopedic with her concern, Restopedic would have adjusted the mattress to her liking. I have purchased two mattresses from Restopedic and sent many of my clients to them. I could not be happier nor could my clients. I love my new mattress! Not a traditional showroom. You are at the factory where your mattress is made. I thought this would mean they would be more expensive but the prices are very comparable to mattress stores. Customer service is great and I had my custom made mattress in a few days - delivered. We love, love, love the mattress we purchased from Restopedic. When the company says that the mattress comes with a lifetime guarantee, BELiEVE IT! They stand behind their product. When the pillow top portion of our custom mattress was deformed due to storage for a number of months on its side, we called the company, fully expecting we would have to pay for it to be fixed plus pick-up and delivery charges. We were beyond surprised that when the mattress was returned in 'as-new' condition, there was NO CHARGE. In fact the owner himself, Mr. DaSilva, assisted with the delivery.
