I was very happy with my experience at the North Haven, CT Mattress Firm. I was treated well by Peter Conte. I never felt pressured and he even let me bring in my little dog to help test out our new mattress. Denise G read more

Hard sell was the strategy. Made me uncomfortable. Second salesperson was very good. Mixed experience.

Needed a box spring called the store and sales professional Karen answers the phone, polite informative and helpful, drive to store and get wonderful service from both Karen and the other sales professional, thanks Mattress firm for having these stellar people in the North haven store, as an aside I called Karen from Jordans where I wandered through the store with not so much as a greeting... read more

Mattress Firm North Haven - Mattresses Near Me - North Haven, Connecticut

Having been Completely dumbfounded by the online experience trying to Research and buy a mattress and frame. So I made the plunge and walked into this store at 5:45pm which was completely void of people. The person behind the desk didn't even budge and asked how he could help me? Honestly, I'd really like a chocolate thick shake, but I purposefully entered a mattress store. My reply was yes , my movers are coming tomorrow and I have no mattress or frame to sleep on. So I need to buy. His reply was sorry we don't allow dogs on premise!! Once Again dumbfounded, did he ask me if she was a service dog no he did not, nor did I offer as my service dog Mabel is the most intuitive living thing I've ever met and she did not get positive vibes from whoever this guy was. I just didn't about face and left never to enter again to spend my 45 $6000 somewhere else you should know management should know that this guy cost you more in sales than he probably does in sales. My motto is you lose all of what you don't go after and some of what you do and this guy doesn't even get you to first base good luck read more

Mattress Firm North Haven - Entrance to a overall bad experience! - Mattresses Near Me - North Haven, Connecticut

Don't do it. I wanted to come in and check out some beds, actually lie on them, etc. Seems reasonable, right? I really liked this one Sealy bed, so I went ahead and purchased it. I got a free adjustable base! What's not to like! It turns, a lot. The salesman was nice enough, but, y'know, he's a salesman. His name is Bob. I'll come back to him. The bed got delivered like a week later. It was... not the bed I fell in love with. I don't know how it was different, but it was. Just not comfortable. I don't know why. It was a Hybrid 100 Series. In the store, I loved it. In my house, I didn't. I don't know why. So I waited the 30 days and I call to do a return. The woman says to come in and they'll set it up. But it turns out, that free adjustable base is not refundable, and the full cost will come out of the bed. So bam, that's a cool $700 I won't be getting back. Plus I'm sure the $99 restocking fee, plus whatever other hidden fees. I'd be shocked if I got back more than $500 on a $1499 mattress. The woman on the phone was like, "Did Bob tell you the cost of the adjustable base comes off the return price?" No, ma'am, he did not. "Did you even read the receipt?" Hahaha cool yeah your deceptive business practices are my fault, not yours. Got it. Anyway. Don't do it. They use shady business practices and if you don't love the bed, they're gonna damn well screw you over if you try to return it. If you do love it, great, no worries, then. My fault. I should've known better. But don't shop here. Save yourself the money. Buy something online or shop local at a store with people you can actually trust/like. A lesson learned for me, and, I hope, for you. read more

My husband and I went to Mattress Firm and was immediately greeted by Winston. He was a pleasant salesman, never at all pushy. He asked about our sleeping habits, listened to our needs and directed us to a few mattresses in different price ranges that would provide the best sleep for us. We ended up purchasing a Nightfall INTELLIbed with an upgraded adjustable base. Looking forward to it being delivered and our first nights sleep on it! Thank you Winston for a great shopping experience! read more

Went to the North Haven CT store, the salesman was very helpful. First 2 mattresses I wanted were not in-stock, however they gave me a great deal on another more expensive mattress. I was told it would take a couple weeks and I agreed. I was told I would get it on Sept 9th, and got an email 2 days prior it would come on Sept 8th, that was confusing,, it ended coming on the 9th. I also paid for the "Platinum Delivery" My opinion there was nothing "Platinum" about it. All they will do is take away old mattress and carry new one in. I also got a adjustable platform. Delivery guys would not touch my existing bed to set up my new adjustable platform. They left that very heavy platform in my room, Not set-up. It was so heavy, I couldn't move it. It takes atleast 2 strong people to set-up. I called the store and was able to get a manager involved from another location. I explained my disappointment and they did apologize and gave me a credit for the Delivery. Beware! Your on your own once that new stuff arrives, a crappy policy will not allow them to touch your existing bed, bed frame, or anything else in your home. Overall I'm satisfied, just disappointed I wasn't made aware. The Delivery is subpar for the very expensive price tag. Full disclosure, they did apologize and did give me a credit. It would have been nice if they gave me a follow up phone and asked If my situation had been resolved. I waiting until 430 the next day and I called the district manager at another location. I asked him how they help elderly or handicap customers, he said and I quote "they need to make arrangements before hand" that would be nice to know at the time of purchase... good luck. I'm happy with the mattress! read more

My husband and I went shopping for mattresses and after checking out a few other places we went to Sleepy's shop around. We walked in around 7:00pm on a weekday, the door chimes went off and no one was in the store to greet us. We figured perhaps the salesperson was in the bathroom or had to get something in back so we started walking around, laying on mattresses, talking loudly, etc. After 20 minutes of waiting, talking loudly and making noises, NO ONE CAME OUT! We finally gave up and walked out. How does a place plan on making money if no one is there to sell anything? We could have walked out with pillows and comforters and no one would have stopped us! We immediately returned to another place more locally owned that gave us amazing service and bought from them. We should have known to avoid a big chain. Non-existent customer service aside, we also didn't like that prices weren't visible on all models making it obvious that they probably use tricks when its time for a sale. read more

I wish I could give negative 5 stars, there is no way to contact anyone for customer service, I'm sure I got a used mattress after spending $300 and have NO ONE who will talk to me. Their claims dept is a racket. Do NOT buy from these people. Came with no tags, all banged up. Just want to be able to reach someone, worst purchase of my life. Sincerely. read more

This is why people buy mattresses online now. Pete the store manager is the dictionary definition of a overly pushy salesman. Upon entering the store, we made is perfectly clear we were just starting our search for a new mattress and were unsure of what we were looking for, we wanted to really take our time deciding and doing research. I think he took that as a challenge. Though he was helpful in figuring out what mattress might best suite us, everytime he tried to give us "a deal of the lifetime" we told him we were not ready to commit yet. We take our time with big purchases, go to different stores, compare pricing; things most people do. The issue was not the price, we were NOT ready to buy a mattress on our first stop! Now having been able to shop around, I can tell you there are other options with better pricing and a better, less hassled customer experience than this place. read more

My experience at this store was amazing. Took the time to go over my wife and my needs and matched us up with a great mattress.

Don't even bother with this place. They wouldn't know what customer service was if their lives depended on it. This place is beyond painful to deal with and that is on the sales end. I can only imagine the living hell you will have on your hands should you buy from here and have a problem. NOT WORTH IT. read more

Please DO NOT buy a mattress at Sleepy's. My 80 year old mother spent a few thousand dollars she does not have for a bed that immediately sagged. They sent someone with a measuring tape to see how deep the dip in the mattress was and said she didn't meet the requirements for a replacement mattress. What a joke. Besides, think about it, why would you buy a mattress with only one side that you can't flip?! The are bunch of rip off artists. Please STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I would give NO stars if I could. read more

The sales associate Pete was really great. He walked me and my partner through every mattress within our price range, and got us a great, great deal. PLUS he gave me some tips for my eczema, PLUS he gave me a referral for a haircut I really want! Most important, though, he was super respectful and warm and professional towards us, two tiny rambunctious girls, even when it became clear we were a couple. Would recommend. read more

I had a perfect experience buying a mattress here. I came in with a decent understanding of what kind of mattress I like, but a bit overwhelmed by the options. I also wanted to invest in a quality mattress that would last me a long time, but have a fairly limited budget. Megan was amazing - she was extremely knowledgable about the advantages and disadvantages of each product, and went above and beyond to find the perfect mattress for my needs all while staying within an accessible price range. She worked hard to get me the best deal possible and I walked away confident in my purchase and delighted with my experience. And with free delivery (even on short notice) and a flexible return/exchange policy, this company clearly works hard to impress customers and make sure everyone ends up satisfied. Mattress Firm went far beyond my expectations and I would never buy a mattress anywhere else! read more

I went in a few days ago to get a mattress and worked with Pete who was not only extremely professional and helpful in helping me select a mattress, but also was able to get me next day delivery. He was great to work with and I would highly recommend going back to him for a mattress. read more

Went in looking for new mattress . Was greeted By Mr Peter Conte as soon as we walked into store. Explained what our needs were. We were shown many different options open to us. We were asked our sleeping habits also. There was no high pressure push at all .Super service answering all our questions and concerns. Was also assisted by Mr Derek Barr. Only down side was when paper work had to be done. Which was due to company switch over from sleepys to mattress firm. i Would recommend this store and employees .. read more
