After lying down on 5 mattresses, I picked my first choice hybrids: Tempur-Pedic Adapt-memory foam and Prana Karma with talalay latex. I spent the night doing research on both memory foam and latex and decided latex was better for me. Went back the next day, purchased my hybrid mattress and saved $$ because of Memorial weekend sales. Also got a bamboo pillow because you can never have too many pillows. Lol. New mattress gets delivered next week. My aching back is very excited.

The layout was also not as overwhelming as other furniture stores and was easy to navigate. Our sales associate was Jackie and she was wonderful. She answered our questions and offered recommendations without being too pushy. She was also very kind and easy to talk to. We ended up leaving for a bit to take more measurements of the room and to scope out other furniture outlets. We only needed to see Raymour and Flanagan's overpriced stock and rude employees before we immediately went back to Bob's. We ended up buying a bigger sectional than we had originally planned and I couldn't be happier. I am looking forward to delivery day and will update this review once my couch arrives. Very unhappy with the delivery service. The salesman, Stephen, told us that when they delivered our…read morenew mattress they would remove the old mattress, box spring and rails. The delivery people refused to take the rails and the box spring. They said they do not take metal and could not get the box spring through a tight corner. We bought the old set years ago from the same store when it was a Sleepy's, and their delivery guys were able to negotiate the corner. When I called the store, I was told that it was up to the delivery company whether or not they will remove something. They called this their NE VIP SETUP SERVICE. They did set up the bed and left it in the middle of the room, not where I told them to put it. The also left trash around the room. When I asked the delivery guy if they were going to clean up after themselves, he just gave me a rude stare. My wife and I had to remove the old box spring, rails and and trash and take them to the dump ourselves. Won't buy from them again.

It served us well, but it was time for a new one and my wife really wanted a "hotel bed" experience. We shopped around at a couple of places to figure out what we liked, but neither of them really provided much in the way of customer service or worked very hard to earn our business. The last place we visited was Bedding Barn (North Haven), and although Richard was a initially a little gruff with the sales pitch (that was fine with us, we're fine with getting to the point), his attention to us and customer service were top notch. He faithfully did a price match, saving us a couple hundred on the mattress we selected, and provided us with great information about what we asked for, without trying to "oversell" every sheet, comforter and pillowcase. He was so confident about our selection and experience in the store, he had all the paperwork ready for us when we returned later in the afternoon. Even the delivery service was flawless. Our mattress was delivered within 2 days, they called when they said they would call, and showed up when they said they would. One last kudo - the delivery guys helped us to figured out that we had been charged for a mattress set when we only needed the mattress (misunderstanding with the price match). Bedding Barn took care of refunding the difference with no hassle at all. I still recommend shopping around to find the best mattress for your needs, but do yourself a favor and check out Bedding Barn before you purchase!

I purchased a bed on Monday afternoon and less than 24 hours later it was delivered by 2 really nice guys who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my existing frame was in proper working order before they placed the box spring and mattress on top. As previously mentioned, there's no flashy showroom or big advertising campaign. The store is tucked away next to a go-kart track and can be a bit tricky to find, but seek it out. That means you'll only be paying for a quality mattress and getting a great price. I had done some web research about mattresses since shopping for one can be overwhelming. Factory Bedding doesn't have hundreds of "S brand" mattresses (which my research tells me are higher on promotion than quality) but they do have really good value ones. Carlos is very low key -- he's friendly and knows his stuff. We've had our mattress for a couple of weeks now and are very happy with it, in addition to having gotten an excellent deal. The delivery was prompt, too. A side note about how nice the owner is: When we stopped in to shop for a mattress, there was a lady whose car had broken down. She clearly wasn't there to buy anything, but Carlos gave her a place to sit and let her charge her cell phone while she waited for a ride. This bit of kindness and decency says a lot about a person and a business. Don't waste time and energy getting a pushy sales pitch from a chain with a big ad budget. See Carlos first.
