Came here to replace my 50 year old mattress. When I talked to the owner, he indicated that his company might of made it. He was extremely helpful in picking out a new mattress and pillows. I used the pillows last night as I wait for my new mattress and they made a huge difference on my sleeping last night. I needed boards to hold the mattress on the frame and he cut three of them at no charge. I scheduled the mattress to be delivered at 2pm. They were there at 2. They were efficient in their delivery and took away all the plastic covering. The mattress made a huge difference in my sleeping comfort. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Very disappointed!! On 12/31/2020 I went to Comfort Sleep Systems and the owner Dave recommended a very thick foam mattress and promised it would never break down or sag. $3000 later I got the mattress, box spring and recommended frame, because if I used my existing frame it would void the warranty. It was hard as a rock for several months, then it began to soften, and kept softening and sinking to the point where I am sleeping in a hole! Despite flipping and spinning it every week, It has caused me severe back issues and many sleepless nights. On October 7, 2024 (3.5 years of ownership) I called Dave. He was very nice and asked me to send him pictures, which I did. I received an email from Sara who told even thought the mattress looked to be "in good condition", they will only TIGHTEN THE FABRIC AND I HAVE TO PAY $200 PLUS TAX FOR PICK UP AND DELIVERY!!!!!!! OMG!! A $3000 mattress and all they will offer is to tighten fabric????? It's insulting to have someone say that tightening fabric on a mattress will make it have support!! They have not responded to my email which is terrible customer service. I am disgusted, frustrated and do NOT recommend Comfort Sleep Systems to anyone!!! read more

The young woman at the Branford Comfort Sleep Systems was very informative, was in no way pushy, and encouraged me to try different mattresses. She was not a "salesperson" trying to make a sale - but someone who truly believed in the product and wanted me to be satisfied. We just received our order from Comfort Sleep Systems yesterday (two queen latex mattresses, one box spring, two latex pillows and two mattress covers). We bought these products sight unseen after considerable research and consultation with Sara. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful with no sales pressure. Last night's sleep was the most sound sleep I think I have ever had. This morning all the aches, pains and stiffness that I have had in the past were gone. Amazing! My husband and I both are extremely satisfied and can't wait to get some more heavenly sleep. Only one complaint, though. It's really, really hard now to get out of bed in the morning! I really wish we could recommend Comfort Sleep Systems. We liked the idea of doing business with a local business and Dave and his daughter seem like nice people. However, we purchased a latex bed for $3,400 in January. It was made custom as we have different sleep preferences. Unfortunately the bed gave us both very sore backs. We "tried" it for more than a month, as was suggested to "get used to the bed" but things only got worse. Dave kindly substituted the bed for a memory foam bed and we still have the same issue, sore backs, every day. We went back to the store and were told that they had made an exception giving us a second bed and that we should try a foam topper, for $119 but there was nothing else they could recommend or do. It is really disappointing to have go out and buy a another bed but that must happen as we both wake up in pain every morning. I have bought several beds in the past and have never had this issue. The store owner suggests it must be our "changing bodies" but I suspect it may be the bedding materials. I am very sorry to write this unfavorable review but I feel purchasing a mattress here was a very costly mistake. read more

Researched the different vendors when we purchased our adjustable bed. We chose Sleep Comfort Systems as they had great reviews from customers and were a fourth generation business. Our new bed seems fine, but delivery/takeaway of old mattress was a disaster. We had a foam topper on old bed, but when I asked the delivery guys to take it away, they said they couldn't do anything but the mattress and box springs or they would get in big trouble. I pointed out that they were working on behalf of CSS and that surely CSS would want this taken care of. They left, so I called Dave at CSS and explained the problem. We live in a condo. Getting rid of a foam topper means I have to drive to the transfer station in the next town. Could he get the guys to take the topper? Sorry, but they take the mattresses to the recycling facility and can't take anything else. Is there some other way for CSS to help us get rid of this? Sorry. Here's the rub: this is a $4,000 latex mattress. $4,000. My last comment to Dave was, "I just bought a $4,000 mattress and am unhappy. Is that the way you want to leave it? "Really sorry." read more

I tried many beds at several stores, and this store had the best selection, quality, and were the most knowledgeable overall. For those located in southern NY, it's a bit of a drive to get there, but I think it was worth it. This was the last place I visited and as soon as I tried their mattresses, I could tell they were noticeably much better than any of the other places I visited. BEWARE.... We bought a mattress and box springs from David @ Comfort Sleep Systems about a year ago. We wanted to keep our old box springs because they were in such good shape, but David said that it would void the warranty and that we had to buy the box springs that went with the bed. The box springs are not actually box springs, but wooden platforms that don't hold up to the weight of the mattress. The mattress is especially heavy and the box springs that Comfort Sleep Systems manufactures are not equipped to hold the weight. The mattress is sagging on both sides except for where the box springs meet each other in the middle of the bed. It's obvious that the box springs are not built strong enough to support the mattress! It is very uncomfortable and we are constantly having to re-adjust ourselves during the night to compensate for the problem. We contacted David about this problem and he told us to build supports for them from the underside of the box springs to the floor. We never had to do this with our old box springs, why should we do this with these? We asked him to come out and take a look at it and suggest ways to fix the problem. He had us take pictures, but he refused to come out to evaluate the situation. Even though the problem lies in Comfort Sleep Systems area, they refuse to do anything about the situation. When I got firm with David about the warranty and put the ball back in his court (without using fowl words) he said we were all done and hung up the phone on me! Please be advised NOT to do business with this company because they do not back up their warranty claims! You can call me if you wish because I don't want you to be in the same situation that we are in after spending almost $4,000.00 with Un-Comfort Sleep Systems!
