Not only did those stores not have what we were looking for, the staff members weren't attentive to our needs. When we were about to give up looking, I remembered seeing an ad for Spector Furniture and we thought to try them out. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were very impressed and happy with our time there. We were greeted at the door and directed to the large selection of recliners. Kenny is the perfect salesperson who helped us out, didn't pressure us to buy anything, yet answered any questions we had, and gave us time to try out as many recliners that we wanted. The customer service at Spector is above and beyond those big furniture stores! The stock of items was very expansive, especially recliners with the handle that none of the other stores are willing to sell anymore! We were out of the door within an hour and within another hour, someone had picked up the chair in their SUV and it was home! We are definitely planning on returning to refurnish our entire living room! So if you are looking for high quality furniture at more than reasonable pricing, at a store with excellent customer service, I would highly recommend a visit to Spector Furniture. UPDATE: We were waiting for an order for an extender for the recliner lever and it came pretty promptly. Not only did they install it, but one the owners personally came out and did it in about one minute!! They are very professional!!

Called the store first thing Saturday morning, thinking someone could come out during the week to look at it. Within a half hour after my call, Howie called back and asked if he could come out today. I highly recommend this store and encourage people to shop local.

The…read moreonly reason is I kind of want to perpetuate the secret that such an amazing business exists. We have been doing business with Rachel for years now. Everything from reupholstery to commissioning of brand new furniture, pillows, slipcovers...you name it. When I say every single piece of work has been flawless, I'm not exaggerating. Rachel delivers her work on time, at remarkable value, and is capable of virtually anything you can dream up. A recent example: we have a beautiful George Nakashima table and have always admired the leg support construction. We asked Rachel to build an art gallery-style bench with the same type of support. She simply looked at the table when she was here and, a few weeks later, delivered a stunning Nakashima style bench with exquisite black walnut legs. If I pointed to this bench and told you it was Nakashima, you would believe it. If you have furniture building or upholstery work of any level of challenge, Rachel will be the best phone call you ever placed.

For those who haven't been in a while, they've been renovating. The main building is now just the main floor and basement (basement is bright and cheery, not quite finished yet, though). The second building is across the way and the entrance is located across from the All-American Valley General Store. The prices vary from insanely good deals to pretty darn expensive. And some of those expensive pieces need some reno loving. Mostly reupholstering for couches/chairs and refinishing hard-wood tables. The annex holds the clothing, books, house nick-nack pieces and personal accessories. Display doors can be challenging to move but don't need the help of a sales assistant. There are some really great prices for the random pieces that find their way into this store. I'm looking forward to coming back to this store.
