Make sure you have a reservation to be able to get into the area for this restaurant for they will ask you at a checkpoint. If you forget just pull off to the side and book one really quick. This is my husbands favorite spot. We went October 31st and we were stopped by federales. They let us through since we told them we're dining at mezzanine. It wasn't the best season for tulum and that's probably why we were able to get in without a reservation. I recommend having one. The views are beautiful and if the weather is good definitely come here. The Thai food was delicious! My husband said his next favorite Thai spot. The chef is from Thailand and it shows. I had tom kha since it was raining and windy. It was the perfect dish! I thought I saw undercooked chicken in my soup and it turns out it was mushrooms. When I tried it it definitely tasted like mushrooms just none that I've seen before. Well definitely come back! read more

This place was great. You have to pay the entrance fee to the Tulum park. We weren't expecting that but I think it was less than 200pesos. We're were able to park in the last spot right by the restaurant. It's actually a hotel that has a restaurant. The hotel has something like 15 rooms. There were no vacancies so we couldn't see what they looked liked. They sat us at the last table right on the ocean. It was a great view as the sun was going down. We started with the spring rolls. My wife likes spring rolls for the peanut sauce. I thought they were good. The special for the night was passion fruit ceviche. That's what I got. It was excellent. The sauce was sweet with a slight tartness. I think the protein was fish but I'm not positive. It also had some root vegetables. It was served with chips. This was good enough that they should put it on the regular menu. My wife asked if she could have a dish with just chicken, noodles and peanut sauce. They accommodated and brought it out wrapped in a banana leaf. She didn't really care for it but when she realized it didn't taste like bananas she was good to go. We shared the flambé dessert drink. It wasn't served on fire so that was a little surprising. We're thankful the server told us all the ingredients before he rang in the order. The drink has anisette and neither of us like licorice. Our group was only in Tulum for a day trip and after extensive research, this place kept coming up as a must visit. Everything about the experience here was top notch. This beachside restaurant was a dream! The bohemian setting was very aesthetically pleasing and looking over the best beach in tulum was really relaxing. The servers were very kind and attentive. I would love to come back and stay at the attached hotel! We just ordered açaí bowls which were beautiful and delicious but could have used a little more toppings. I got the turmeric mango bowl and was a little worried the turmeric would be overpowering but it was subtle. They also brought various jams and pieces of bread that were complimentary. You can also walk down the stairs to the best public beach in tulum after your meal for a swim. It is really sandy/not rocky in the water. read more

We came here mostly for drinks and appetizers and it so happened to be during their happy hour which meant their margaritas were bogo. We definitely took advantage of their happy hour. The service here is great. They're all really friendly. This restaurant overlooks the beach which has a great view. I would definitely come back if I'm in Tulum again. Pad Thai - This was delicious and not dry at all. Would recommend getting this. It comes out wrapped and super hot. Mixed Ceviche - This was pretty good and it had a nice presentation. I also love the shrimp. Chips and Guac - Can't really go wrong with this. It was yummy. Fries - Their fries were nicely salted and delicious with their tartar sauce. Mango Margarita - This was my favorite drink. It almost had a smoothie consistency. Pineapple Margarita - It didn't have the same consistency as the mango so you could taste the tequila more. Cucumber Margarita - Probably my least favorite margarita and also the strongest one. Strawberry Margarita - This was similar to the mango one. Such a fantastic spot in Tulum. The perfect place to have lunch with a gorgeous beach view, with pelicans and magnificent frigatebirds soaring above you. We come back to this place every time we come back to Tulum. Great service. The Swiss manager was also super friendly and knowledgeable and gave us some great advice on where to visit for our next Mayan Riviera trip. Massaman curry is still exceptional just as I remembered it and wrote in the last review. Order with chicken and expatriate spicy level. Love the nutty overtone on this one. I ordered an extra coconut rice just to soak up every bit of that sauce. Pangas appetizer was delicious as well. Ask for more endive leaves to accompany the delicious mix of tofu, mushroom, cashew, lime juice, seeds, and mango. We ordered the thaimex (a drink with a kick, have them put less lemongrass if you like juices not too sweet) and watermelon drink. Both are excellent. Order a bottle of sparkling to go with the juices of you want to make your own spritzer! This was a beautiful place to grab food! And the hotel looks gorgeous as well! It's right over the beach with a beautiful view near the ruins. We went here to grab lunch after we walked around the ruins and it was perfect. The tacos were delicious! Spicy but so delicious. The noddles we got was really good, but I personally didn't order it and wouldn't with how hot it was when I was there. Regardless, I had some and it was delicious. This restaurant probably has the best beach/sea view in Tulum? So you're paying for that - as the food is pricey! US major city level of pricing. Food was good - the Pad Thai as well as the firecracker (?) prawns were tasty. Not amazingly so, but above average. Water is pricey, at 169 pesos for a bottle of "Bui" branded water! Parking is free onsite if you're visiting the restaurant. Note that the restaurant is now in the national park zone, which is the whole area including the Tulum Ruins. This means that if you want to enter, you have to pay the daily entrance fee of 58 pesos. If you're already visiting the Ruins, keep your ticket wristband, so you can access the restaurant too. The beach right in front of the restaurant is amazing, white sand and clear waters. So go have a walk along the beach before or after your meal! I recommend coming here for lunch (instead of dinner) so you can enjoy the view. read more

The scenery during your meal, the professional and service of the staff, the quality of the ingredients and the food, and the overall experience--UNBELIEVABLE. We had a local recommend this spot to us, and I'm so glad they did. We were able to get a reservation near the water at the night time. The weather was perfect, every menu item we had was easily the best we had during our entire trip. My only regret is not coming here again during my travel. We even sent other friends here that were traveling. You must try the following items or you're not doing it right: Crispy Money Bags, Veggie Spring Rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Shrimp Drunken Noodles. Such a beautiful place!! Food is amazing, the view is breath taking! It's located inside the national park so you do have to pay to enter. But the entry fee is not a lot. I suggest taking a shuttle or taxis as there is not a ton of open parking available. Our server Eulicies was wonderful. We had waters the moment we sat down. And our food was not too far behind. He checked on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed! The breeze from the ocean is top tier, and the immediate beach access was just an added bonus. The food was fresh Thai food and it's a gorgeous location (would be the perfect golden hour dinner!). Glad to have several vegan choices. We would have loved to experience friendlier and more attentive service. No one was very nice, and my son's dinner came out about 10 min after everyone else. Mezzanine is a breath of fresh air along Tulum beach; a Thai-based restaurant set up on the rocks along a quiet area of Tulum beach. Great Thai place in paradise. Even more beautiful in person. Came at night. The seating area is beautifully designed, with warm lanterns hanging from the trees, and the sounds of the waves with salty cool ocean breeze providing lovely ambiance. Tables are spaced quite far apart so we felt very safe. The service was fantastic as well. We got the street food sampler "appetizer" which was served on a giant solid wood tray with banana leaf and coconut shell bowls. The chef comes out to describe each of the tidbits and how to eat them with the various wraps and sauces. Cost was about $60. Would be MORE than enough fir a filling and fun dinner for two. For our group of four we added an order of money bags and one entree (shrimp pad Thai) and had our fill. I've been to Thailand twice and took a few cooking courses there, so I can attest to the authenticity. We were getting tired of eating food at our all inclusive resort and were looking for a meal that hits a little closer to home. We did not expect much for this restaurant but we were blown away. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. The views here were amazing and put us into awe. There was a telescope which was totally different and exciting for all of us to use and see. I was in awe of how beautiful the restaurant looked, how gracious our waiter was and the overall exceptional service, how flavorous all of our food tasted, and how breathtaking the views were! The music selection was wonderful for us; they played one of my favorite bands called Rhye and I fell even more in love. Even the bathrooms were cute (and more importantly clean too)! We were pretty hungry after spending the day at various cenotes and at the beach, so we were ready to eat and drink. For drinks, we ordered a local beer and two cocktails. For our starters, we began with the Tom Yum Soup and Chicken Satay. Both so tasty! For our entrees, we ordered the Chicken Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) and Chicken Pad Thai. I loved that the Chicken Pad Thai had little cubes of tofu in it! Compliments to the chef :) Toward the end of our dinner, the chef came out to greet us and asked us how the food fared out. Can't rave enough about how wonderful my dining experience was. The view and the foods were great. You can see the beach from the restaurant We enjoyed all the things we ordered. I took off a star because of the wait. It took over one hour for our foods to come out and the restaurant was not that busy (we were the first table to put in lunch order). The Basil Beef Fried Rice and Pad Thai were great. The foods presentations were cute and I like how they used banana leaves (they enhance the aroma of the foods). Absolutely delicious, we came here twice during our 6 day stay in Tulum. The food comes out with such nice presentation. Happy 3pm-5pm for buy one get one free margaritas! Delicious and also very tasty. There's a great view of the ocean when you sit outside. The first time we went we got the money bags, the Tom yum soup and drunken noodles. The second time we got the street food combo. All was really delicious and the servers were really nice. I fell in love upon arrival. The view is undefeated, the service is excellent & the food is delicious. The whole ambience is so cute with the set up, sofa chairs, tanning beds, pool, etc. Beyond amazed. The first day I ordered spicy pad thai with shrimp- I had to take half home because it was more than 1 serving and it was so delicious. The next day I had to come back for breakfast. I ordered the healthy breakfast which I also had leftovers for lunch. Accompanying my breakfast was table bread with a few different spreads and ginger shots (I think with mango). I've never had one and I don't crave ginger, but that ginger shot was the best. My friends also loved each of their meals and drinks. If I return to tulum I will always return here.
