Don't get me wrong, I love seafood, acai bowls and tacos! Some people say I'm inner Mexican stuck in an Asian body! But, after eating all of this, I was really craving some Asian food. Curry by Po Thai is located in a luxury apartments area, sorta off the grid a little from Centro Tulum. I was very interested in trying it out and fulfilling my craving and itch for Asian food. I spoke to the Thai chef in Thai and he was so happy that I came to visit! The food was amazing and the flavors were on point. Once you try the appetizer plate, you have a good idea how the rest of the food was going to be. Pineapple fried rice- the only reason why you should not get it is if you are allergic to pineapples! Mango and sticky rice- best way to end a meal sweetly! Great service and the drinks are good as well. The whole meal including tip was $110 USD or $2190 pesos. No, I would not come here everyday, but, have atleast one meal here while you are visiting Tulum to change it up and have some really good Thai food.
Great food, drinks and service. Very friendly staff. Drinks were made perfectly by Miguel. What a guy!! Full of knowledge about his trade and the local area. Everything we ordered was par excellence! The appetizer platter, the Tom Kha soup, the pad Thai and the red curry. They were out of mango for the sticky rice dessert but lychees made for a good substitute. Highly recommend this place.
The chicken fried rice was everything in a bowl with fresh jalapeño fish sauce! I have come to Curry -Po Thai a couple times for the rice and every time want to come back for more! Service is standard and the views of the pool are beautiful!
Amazing hidden restaurant by the pool. The whole vibe was really nice and aesthetically pleasing. As an Asian I was skeptical about getting Thai food here but we were craving it so we went. We were disappointed by the menu because we thought we went to the same branch in Playa del Carmen which was underwhelming, but when the food came out we were quickly disabused of that notion. The vegetarian spring rolls were yummy, the green papaya salad even better. The star of the show was the lamb red curry, which the server recommended to us. Presentation was laudable, flavour well balanced and aromatic. Even the drinks were good - the orange lemon fizz. No coconuts though.
Fantastic vibe here! Set in a beautiful residence/hotel; got a little confused finding the place but just keep trusting the nav. Menu is fun with lots of great options. We loved the mix appetizer plate! The pineapple fried rice was super delicious. My drink was a highlight- maybe the best colada I've ever had. Don't skip on the mango sticky rice of course- VERY good. Alfonso was our server and he was great.
Very surprised this spot has not been reviewed. Absolutely fantastic - chicken satay was extremely tasty. We also started with the vegetable fried spring rolls. My advice get them both. Let's skip to dessert- fried banana and vanilla sauce coupled with flan. I don't always do dessert but you also must get these. The main course was basil chicken, cashew chicken, fried rice, green curry and papaya salad. We barely had enough room on the table and ate just about all of it. It was Too good to let it go to waste. Last but not least was the great service we received from Josiah. Not only did he walk us through the menu but had great food advice and ordered an independent taxi to get us back to the hotel.

We spent our honeymoon in Tulum. We got to Tulum and one thing after another went wrong. AC leaking puddle all over the Airbnb, first "vegan friendly" restaurant put meat on our pizza and my wife ate it. Beach was covered in seaweed. Our honeymoon didn't start until we came here. We got here and the vibes were amazing. My wife said the music was great so they turned it up. The waiter Alberto knew what was vegan and knew to exclude fish sauce and egg and oyster sauce. Amazing service. And the food! I'm a vegan chef from San Diego and I had zero complaints, everything was fresh and delicious. It's our best meal in Tulum so far. 110% recommend
This spot is not on the hip strip of Tulum, it's more so to the local size of Tulum. The food was . Service was amazing. We made reservations 2 hrs before and were seated without issue upon arrival. The music selection was great...the playlist a very fun to listen to. The hostess, waiter etc we're all super sweet. We were getting devoured by mosquitoes (we chose to sit outside at 8pm) and they were nice enough to bring us bug spray to help with getting rid of them. I will Most definitely visit this restaurant again when I'm Tulum.
Food was great! The staff was very friendly! The price was ok. Im rating this 4 stars because they charged us for little things that other places normally don't charge. For example: they charged us for a to-go box because I wasn't able to finish my meal and I didn't want to waste my food. Overall, great experience. It's located in a very beautiful place. Staff follows COVID-19 guidelines.
Definitely coming back! Absolutely loved this restaurant. We had the soft shell crab strong red curry (think almost like a panang) and the ground beef pad Kra Pow, also recommend asking for a fried egg on top ;) The service was phenomenal, we had the pleasure of being helped by Alex, and he was so wonderful with communication, recommendation and his energy.

Service was perfect. We had: Green Curry Tofu Tom Kah Soup Pad Thai Papaya Salad SPICY!!!! Mango Sticky Rice Food was fresh and very flavorful. I'm happily satisfied!
Let me first preface this review by saying WHO knew that I had to come to Mexico, specifically small Tulum to eat the best Thai of my life?! My boyfriend and I eat Thai back home almost weekly. It is our favorite go to. Lucky for us, our Airbnb during our Tulum stay overlooked this beautiful restaurant and with a little research, we found that it was in fact Thai with amazing reviews. Let's start with the aesthetics; this place was breathtaking. Beautiful decor and interior... from furniture to the hanging decor, to the huge glass windows, this place was a dream. Perfect for a date night, day time date, just absolutely breathtaking. They were even playing Mark Wiens at their front tv, another GREAT sign! (We watch a lot of Mark Wiens back home lol) Every encounter we had from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we were seated and served was outstanding. We were treated like family. Now for the best part, the FOOD. WOW is all I can say. Every single dish was made to perfection, so perfect, we came back two more times during the duration of our stay in complete disbelief. We learned the sweet chefs are from Thailand which made all the sense. Massaman is my favorite curry Thai dish and this one blew all of my past experiences out of the water. My boyfriend loved the seafood, fresh and they did not skimp! I cannot rave about this place enough. How did we get so lucky to find such a gem tucked away in Tulum?! I am so grateful to have these photos and the dining experience to remember for a lifetime as Curry by Po Thai has set the bar to the heavens. Bravo!!!!! I cannot wait to come back to La Veleta JUST for this piece of heaven.

It was a decent walk to make it to this place from our house & I was questioning if maps was taking me to the right spot! I'm glad that I didn't give up on it! The food- fresh & authentic. Found this place last year when visited Tulum it was located in the community I stayed in. This place is excellent! Second time visiting La Veleta this year, and going back to Curry. For me this is some of the best Thai food I've ever had, with authentic fresh ingredients. Service was excellent as usual. I ordered twice while I was visiting this time that's how good. I look forward to returning here again. Highly recommend. read more

Pad Thai mix chicken and beef was very very good! Honestly, much better from Thailand :) Azael, the waiter was very kindness and helpful. He makes sure that my wife gets the dish exactly according to her requests. The overall experience was great. Thanks. read more

Everything was so good! Great decor, great service. We ordered Green Curry, Red Curry, and Fried Rice. Everything single spoon of each dish was amazing! The mint orangeade was super refreshing as well. read more

Walked over here from my hotel to patronize the rare restaurant that serves curry in Tulum and they tried to charge me for a mask upon entry at 9:50pm! Lol with all of the other businesses in the area it does not make sense to me why somebody would treat a customer that way nevertheless I made my order to go and I actually waited outside even though they offered for me to sit inside just because I didn't like the way that it was handled. The worker Alex was very rude. Hopefully the food is better than the service. Will post an update after I eat! I just feel like my food is tampered with After such a horrible demeanor given off by the employeesbut I paid for it already so I guess I'll see. How it tastes. To be honest if you look at the pictures I posted it looks nothing like the other fake reviews. read more

Forget about the fact that to get to the restaurant the road is horrible and check your tires. The food the service is ON point. I had the fresh spring rolls and #32 with curry sauce (w coconut milk) and shrimp...Auh-mazing broth. Jasmine rice on the side to add in yes please. So fresh and actually unexpected. I came last minute and did not know what type of cuisine they served. Wow! A must try. Bartender Miguel have him make your drink and sit down to fulfill your taste buds. My waiter Azael was very attentive. Ask for him! read more

Alex took great care of us and made our experience very memorable. We ordered the Veg summer rolls, chicken satay and papaya salad to start and everything was fresh and tasty. The main course was fantastic! I asked for a spicy vegan Thai basil fried rice with cashews and my husband ordered some Lamb chops in yellow curry ( sorry I don't remember the name) this place is a must visit if you want to try some authentic Thai food in Tulum land read more

Best Thai food we have had anywhere! Massaman Curry was excellent! Our server, Alexis was great and was patient as we practiced our Spanish. Thankfully he spoke fluent English, because our Spanish was so so. read more

Loved the food. I would highly recommend. I had the masala. It was amazing. I'm not a meat person, so the pork was not my favorite. My cousin had the duck curry that she said was very tasty. My sister loved her pineapple fried rice. This restaurant is within Central Parl Complex but can be accessed from outside. read more
