We spotted this restaurant when eating at another and decided to check it out the next day. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a nice night so we sat outside as inside was much warmer as it appears they don't have air conditioner indoors. The wait staff are very professional and attentive. We ordered the spring roll starter and tom yum soup. The spring roll was definitely fresh and came with two dipping sauces, one spicy and one sweet. The soup was spicy and a very good size portion. We had three dishes. The Panang chicken was good but very spicy and the portion was on the small side. Without the appetizer, you would be hungry after the meal. The kaprao with crispy pork had great flavor but part seemed like pork rind. The other dish was a stir fry rice with shrimp. Again good flavor and a good size portion. Worth a visit when in PDC. read more

One of the best Thai foods I have had in a long time. We love Thai food and have traveled internationally and domestically to so many places and have had Thai food in so many cities. This place is definitely among the best ones in terms of taste. We ordered Red curry, Thai noodles, appetizers etc and each of the dish was freshly prepared and had distinct flavor. The location of this restaurant is little off the main track. It has outside seating, though they have ONLY pedestal fans to keep you cool inside the restaurant. No Air conditioning. Since there were no tables available for outdoor seating- we felt hot and restless in the restaurant. So choose to sit outdoors or wait to be seated outside (small advise) It's definitely expensive for vegetarian food (compared to other restaurants on the strip) though good to have a change from regular Mexican food. read more

Really one of the better Thai restaurants we have eaten at, and we eat alot of Thai food! We had the chicken satay skewers and the steak spring rolls to start. Both dishes were very flavorful and well done, with the steak in the spring rolls being very tender. Our favorite was the crispy pork and broccoli dish. We have had dishes similar to this in both Thailand and California but it is hard to find. My husband was stoked because its one of his faves. Crispy and tender chunks of not too fatty pork belly cooked with crispy and tender veggies in a just right savory- spicy- slightly sweet sauce. We told the waiter how much we enjoyed the food and she had the chef come out to tall to us. A super sweet lady named Amy from Thailand was the chef running the place. We cant wait to go back in a few days when we once again grow tired of al pastor tacos ;) read more

Whas craving soup after a week at the resort. Found this cute restaurant through yelp. Glad i did since it was around the corner from our airbnb. It has been about a week I haven't had any asian food and i was major craving. We were going to dine in but the fiance wasn't feeling well so we end up having to to go the food after it was brought to our table. I ordered: Tum yum soup was a 4. It was so good with big shrimps and other ingredients. It came in a small container which I thought could if been a little bigger or maybe I deprived of asian soup so im a little more bias. Chicken stir fry with rice i'd give a 5. It was very good, packed with flavor and filling. Both dishes were very authentic in flavor and im so happy to have ordered from them. I'm picky about my asian food and i could easily say that for a touristy area they are the real deal. I might have to order some more food before i leave tomorrow since im feeling deprived of asian food still! read more

coming from sf where there is plenty of thai food, this was pretty mediocre and overpriced. the staff was amazing though! i got the pad kaprow which is a pretty basic, street food dish that was doused in oyster sauce. instead of the basil being stir fried with the dish, it was fried separately taking any basil taste from the dish. read more

Nice to have an alternative to Mexican/Yucatan cuisine while on vacation. We had the green papaya salad, duck curry, pad thai, couple other noodle dishes. If you walk up and down 5th Avenue you might not notice this restaurant that is set back from the street, but you will be missing a great experience. The food was really great and the service was even better! We were a group of 10. We had several of the appetizers for the table spring rolls, chicken satay, and their shrimp salad- all great. We ordered curries, pad Thai and several of the beef and pork entires. They have some original house cocktails and we also ordered a couple of bottles of wine. We pretty much went with the recommendations of the manager and picked most of the house specialities. We come to Playa every year and we are going to make Hola Bangkok one of our regular stops. read more

Really friendly service and great food! This restaurant is off the street so you aren't constantly distracted by the noise and chaos of the 5th avenue crowds. I dined with a group of 4 and got to taste everything. My favorite was the duck curry, but I enjoyed everything (almost). Note: if you like green papaya salad, som tom, skip their version. They warn you in advance that they make it with ripe papaya since they can't find green. I tried it anyway, but like I said, skip it. read more

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, drinks and service. The food was fresh, tom ka gai a must try. Pad gra pow stir fry was delicious with rice. Ask for the two accompany items.. chillies in vinegar and habernero oil to go with the food to up the spice. read more

Food was very good, though I only tried one dish. Service was excellent- gracious, caring, and sincere. And a side note that became more important to me than my dining experience... I absentmindedly left a not inexpensive umbrella and when I finally returned two days after leaving it there (with dim hopes of getting it back), the staff had it ready for me and seemed genuinely pleased that I came back to get it. I ran into this place looking for another Thai place I loved from 2 years ago. The boy who brought us in from the street was great and wanted to please, but the restaurant really had no ambiance and the food came out cold! With only two nights to enjoy the amazing restaurants in playa I left ver disappointed! I wanted hot soup and after sending it back got more cold soup!
