We were seated by the windows which let us enjoy the ocean breeze as we dined. I started off with the ginger shrimp salad, which was delicious. Next I had the bbq ribs which were ok, the portion size was small, but that was fine. For my entree I had the sashimi which was made up of salmon, tuna and grouper. The not so bad but not great either: 1) Vietnamese vegan roll 2) vegetable tempura with no tempura sauce ( it would have been out of this world with tempura sauce) 3) fish of the day: mahi mahi sashimi today 4) salmon and tuna sashimi ( taste is good, yet fish cuts look macerated and mutilated... very unappetizing to look at). The not so great; 1) All of the cuts of sushi, whether nigiri or sashimi, looked macerated and mutilated, with poor cuts. 2) the sweet and sour chicken and pork was just awful. The restaurant looks really cool when you enter and it's exciting, but behind the kitchen counter are local cooks/chefs and I do not see any authentically trained sushi chefs to help guide the staff, so the cuts of fish are absolutely awful and it's clear that the staff does not know how to properly cut fish. It's unfortunate. We plan on coming back to stay at the resort next March and we do not plan on coming here, with the exception of desserts.

We also tried a peach sake which was delicious but once I realized it tasted like peach Burnett's ... It was over. Cozumel Dreaming is located in a nice central location which makes it a handy option for a quick meal. I would probably choose other restaurant options before this one, but if you have a hankering for sushi specifically, then this is definitely the place to go.
