I've been coming here for years, and this place is solid. This might be the BEST RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD. Every time I come here, I have zero complaints, zero notes. From the food to the service, everything is perfect. Obviously, the Cesar Salad is a must. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I took a chance on some stuffed chicken, and it was the best I've ever had. Absolutely exceptional experience. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman at the entrance, seated at a nice table and Oscar was our server. The restaurant was so clean and they even had toilet seat covers in the bathrooms! I've been to Mexico a lot and I've never seen that. Haha. They clear the tables and keep your drinks filled. The manager was walking around quietly scoping out each table to make sure it was clean and food presentation was good. Now the best part!! The food!!! Ordered: Ensalada Caesar's ($165 pesos): the original Caesar salad, made at the table Aya's take: You can't really come to Tijuana without trying the original Caesar salad! The ambiance feels like an old, classic steakhouse vibe with plenty of seating. The Ensalada Caesar's is more of an experience than a meal, in my opinion. The table-side "show" is pretty awesome as they give you a recipe card to take with you and then demonstrate how they make it. I typically don't have Caesar Salad with the lettuce leaves being whole but this really works. The coddled egg and anchovy fillets were not prominent in the salad at all. I thought it would overpower the dressing but not at all. The baked garlic croutons were also super delicious and much larger than any crouton you see nowadays. Ended my MX day trip at this establishment. There was a wait, so we walked the strip. And boy oh boy the Caesar salad was divine! Clearly, this is what we came here for and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant has been on my radar for a while, it's the birth place of the Caesar salad after all- and maybe the only table side salad I've ever seen. I'm glad I looked at photos before ordering, you basically get 4 or 5 leaves per order of salad. Our entire table agreed that we could eat another round but decided against it. The salad was really good, I don't feel like I need to recommend it- I would hope it's at the top of your list if you're coming here but just in case- don't miss it! We also split two pastas, pesto and carbonara. If Al' Dente is not your jam you may be a little meh about the pasta. For us, it was great! The flavors were strong and you could tell they used fresh ingredients. Bread was dropped off at the table with what I can only assume was an olive paste? I would recommend going for lunch. We got there on a Saturday at 5pm and waited about 25 minutes. The place is beautiful inside. Very classy more of a date night restaurant and definitely somewhere you would dress up. The menu had a pretty good variety of food. I ordered an appetizer beef tartare absolutely delicious. I know this dish is not for everyone but if you do like it it's a must. We ordered the Cesar salad it was delicious. You can also share the salad. I ordered a cheese ravioli with a creamy lemon sauce. I thought it was a little too citrusy. My husband ordered the steak that was amazing. a cool famous spot that we needed to stop by as first-time tourists in TJ LOL. as you already know, this is the restaurant where the original caesar salad was created (happy 100 years!!!) before it traveled across the border and became the americanized mess that i often avoid when picking my salads. we enjoyed the ambiance and service, as it still captured the vibes of the roaring twenties. the octopus wasn't mindblowing, but that was okay since we were doing a food crawl and had limited time for every stop anyway. i did really enjoy the flavors of the caesar salad and understand why it became a worldwide food. i wouldn't say i'd return again and again since it's a bit difficult to make trips down to TJ often, but it was definitely worth trying for the experience! read more

We just had the salad, which was made tableside but the rest of the menu looked great as well. The salad was pretty good except we would have loved whole anchovies instead of anchovy paste. We came here for a quick bite. We were getting hungry and wanted to eat tacos, but also wanted to check this place out. So we ordered some small plates to get is by for atleast a half hour before we arrived at a taco spot. The service was ok. Our server lacked energy. Never once smiled. They started us off with bread, my daughter wanted butter and they took forever. And they weren't that busy. We ordered their Caesar salad, while very delicious, I couldn't barely hear our server explain what he was doing. He was very quiet and didn't seem like he was having any enjoyment making it. We also ordered their Patatas Bravas and their Tuetano. I knew the Patatas bravas would be a good cheap filler. We honestly got full with what we ordered. The Patatas bravas were good and made with a little heat. My favorite was their Tuetano. Their bone marrow served on top of mini Sopes and served with a side of salsa. These little things were damn tasty. I'm would come back just for this. Overall the food was delicious. There were a few other other things I wish I could have ordered but wanted to keep it light. One of the most talked about restaurants is Caesars, yes, the birth home of the eponymous Caesars Salad. So I had to go, discover, indulge, and eat. Black and white floor tiles, well placed tables. white table cloths and napkins, immaculately groomed and dressed servers in black and white, and nostalgic Hollywood music playing in the background. I came here well planned, to sit over 2-3 hours, so I could take my time, absorb and digest this beautiful place. I debated over ordering the famous Caesars salad, which is prepared table side, and was happening at table after table. Since I was dining solo, I chose otherwise and opted for two appetizers and a main. In order, Oysters Rockefeller, Tuna Tartare and finally, Salmon Wellington. Both the appetizers were excellently presented (see my pictures) and had strong and bold flavors. You could savor the freshness in every bite. The tuna tartare arrived in dynamic and stunning style (see my pictures). The salmon Wellington, topped off the evening for me. The fish had depth and texture, well balanced in taste. The accompanying vegetables and baby potatoes perfectly cooked, the butter lemon sauce married well with the dish. Had to come here to the birthplace of Caesar salad at the start of my Tijuana food tour! The cool thing about getting the Caesar salad here is that the literally make it in front of you. They bring a cart and make the dressing right in front of you so you know it's fresh. And yes, it definitely has the anchovies. Service is great, no complaints here. We were a little late for our reservation, but we got seated without any wait. English is not an issue here either as the waiters speak English and the menus are in English as well. My fiance and I were in TJ for a doctor's appointment and my fiance highly recommended we stop by this place for the original Caesar salad. we got here a little before they opened at 12pm and they already had a small line starting to build. although they sat us almost immediately. I loved that they gave you utensils to open up your own escargot which were service in yummy garlic sauce. It might be a good idea to make a reservation before coming here. We went right at the opening time and we could see slowly the space was getting busy. The entire dining space wall is filled with old pictures, reminiscent of Cesar Cardini. Can't believe this place is 100 years old. Our waiter, Antonio took great care of us. The bone marrow was sumptuous with their homemade sauces. We had to TRY the original Cesar's salad by the table. Antonio made fresh dressing and prepared our salad, calling out each ingredient. Amazing! Look I've had plenty of Caesar Salads but this one was not only the OG but out of this world. My friend and I stopped by just for the salad. All the times I've been in TJ and never stopped. The service was a little slow but it was busy with birthday parties. We only ordered the salad but the menu looked good for the other food. We sat in the patio area. The servers & the host were friendly and welcoming. It was such a treat to watch the waiter make the salad in front of you. You can order the lettuce chopped or whole.
