Very nice restaurant inside of Hotel Catedral Barcelona. Small, tasteful, elegant interior. Modern style. There's also a nice interior courtyard. Food was very fresh with high quality ingredients. A roast beef salad was served with oven roasted tomatoes, pickled pearl onions, thin slices of rare beef, olive oil and sherry vinegar from Xeres/Jeres. Fish of the day was Dorado served with zucchini, eggplant and other vegetables. A little salty, but otherwise very nicely prepared. There are a few Catalonian (spell?) specialties too. Small menu, but nice choices. Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to NYC. For lunch, there were three prix fix options depending on which courses you wanted (starter/main/desert). Service is attentive. Food arrived quickly. A nice choice if you're in the area. read more
