OK, this is a mixed review…read more First to start off, the service was great. The ambience is somewhat dated but elegant. The new patio looks great, but you can't see the river from the dining room now.. Now the food: My friend had the steak and he was very happy with it. Although he said, it was a little more rare than he would've liked. But otherwise, it was very good. Our other guest had the special, which was the salmon. And they were very happy with it. My dish unfortunately it was not so great. I had the pan-fried Seabass. As soon as it was brought to me, the first thing I noticed was a plate of nothing but brown colors. The fish is filleted with the skin left on. (which I would preferred it not to have been.), but layered on top of pearl couscous. Which was supposed to have feta. But somehow they substitute it with goat cheese, which was horrible. Because if you don't like goat cheese, it just makes everything taste awful. But there was no color to this dish. The Seabass was overcooked. It had a consistency more like trout. I've never had this type of Seabass before, so maybe I was expecting a Chilean Seabass? But it was very thin and there was not a lot of substance to it. The waiter was great and he did bring me some new couscous without the goat cheese. But by that time I had eaten my dinner. Now Desert: the kitchen really needs to let their weight staff know when they run out of things because our server had to come back to our table 3 times saying that they were "out of that." my friend friend had the peach sorbet, which he said was very good. The caramel pudding was excellent. I had the flan, honey and lavender. I really didn't taste any lavender. It just tasted like custard to me. My friend's family has been coming here for years. So hopefully next time I will get a better dish. It just seemed to me like the sous chef was in the kitchen tonight and not the chef.

When I went there was no bad smell at all (it actually had no smell). (Added another star for that) General food was okay nothing special but one thing that was not the best was the ribs and corn (the ribs were cold and not warm or ANYTHING, it seemed that it was microwaved as well as the corn and french fries, I also had the chicken pattie it smelled as if it was bought breaded and not made from scratch it also was microwaved. ( did not add stars for that) Food seemed overpriced for what it was. The staff was really nice actually no problems with staff at all. The waitresses even asked if I needed anything extra (which they should in general) added a star for that. If you want to eat some where where you are really hungry I don't recommend due to it being overpriced and not made well.

The place is open and bright wherever you sit, whether on the outdoor patio, downstairs by the bar, or upstairs. Service was excellent. My reservation was smoothly handled, and my server took good care of me. I got offeres some bread and butter after I ordered, which was really a nice surprise. The offered breads were seeded, ollve, and rustic style. All delicious, especially with the sweet butter. For the main meal, I got a half dozen oysters, an order of cha gio and their Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad. The cha gio were crispy, not greasy, sweet and savoury. The oysters were super fresh, sweet and a good size. Along with the usual condiments, they included pickled red onion, which is the first time I've ever had this. I really enjoyed the acidic sweet bite enhancing the sweetness of the oysters. The Ahi Dragon Noodle Salad had microgreens, red cabbage, red and green and yellow sweet pepper, red chili pepper, edamame, coriander, green onions, and fried parsnip chips. The Ahi was charred on the outside, fresh and meaty. I appreciate that the sesame oil, soy sauce and hint of chili on the perfectly chewy noodles was separate from the veggies. The vegetables had a very clean flavour, but I would have liked something more, maybe a touch of citrus. A glass of good wine rounded out the whole experience. I was way too full at the end of the meal to even contemplate dessert. All in all, a great meal, and I would return any time.
