The sausages have the texture of a rubber ball and no taste. The bacon is so thin and cooked that if you drop it on the plate, it literally breaks. I am not joking, try it. Eggs vary back and forth between scrambled (decent) and "omelet", which is basically a folded over scramble with some kind of Cheese Whiz. I was happy for the scrambled days. I grabbed a ham and egg croissant and disassembled in order to reposition the items, only to find that the ham was gray. I went to pick up an orange and my fingers sank into mushy mold on the bottom. My last morning I arrived at around 9a and there was about a forkful of eggs left, no bacon or sausage. Pretty disappointing for $149 room night (which, what??). The room was rundown and shabby. The bed is scarcely softer than an ironing board wrapped in a sleeping bag. It was impossible to find a way to be comfortable or stay asleep for longer than a couple hours. The loveseat is so run down that only by sitting in the middle are you not tilted to one side or the other. I've attached photos of the light fixture in the bathroom, the stovetop, and the windows for your perusal. Overall, I would have switched hotels after the first virtually sleepless night if it wasn't for lack of availability in the area I needed to stay. I am still sore from the bed and tired from the lack of sleep. I cannot believe the rate was increased by $30 for my final night. Should have moved to the car. Stay at the Comfort Inn Suites down the street. It's in need of updates, but at least the beds are comfortable.

When I arrived in room 431, the toilet wasn't clean - to my horror, the toilet was filled with fecal matter (feces). The bathroom was in unacceptable condition. I reported this to the front desk and was reassigned to room 435. I had just arrived from the airport and it was an inconvenience to pack everything up and move to another room. When I arrived in room 435, the bathtub was dirty and there is a huge stain on the ceiling from a previous water leak, which may have signs of mold. The water in the sink near the bathroom would not get hot. On the evening of Saturday, September 19th, the power went out at 10:45 pm for almost 6 hours and was not restored until Sunday, September 20th around 4:15 am. I was on an upper floor, and without power and air conditioning, the room became extremely hot, making it difficult to sleep. The wi-fi also went out due to the power outage and wasn't restored until the afternoon of September 20th. There were a few disabled senior citizens that were part of our group and they were in a hospitality suite in the first floor when the power went out. The elevator wasn't working, so they were stuck on the 1st floor until 3:00 am, and eventually had to walk up multiple flights of stairs with canes. I reported my horrible experience to Steve, the general manager, and he was dismissive of my concerns and combative. He should not be working in customer service. I asked to be compensated for my experience. Initially, he offered Marriott Bonvoy points, which I declined, as I am not sure if I will ever stay at a Marriott property again. Eventually, he took off 1/2 the cost of one night of my stay, which was inadequate compensation in light of my horrible experience. My uncle, who was one of my disabled family members impacted by the power outage, also contacted Steve and was offered nothing to make up for the experience of having to walk up multiple flights of steps, with a cane, since the elevators were not working. Avoid this hotel like the plague.

That makes for a dark and quiet sleeping area. Fridge, Micro, coffee maker, iron and hair dryer in room. Sink kitchenette area. TV's in both rooms. Hot and cold breakfast options. It was busy over the holidays so ran out of some things close to closing time and seating area was full. Heated pool with towels. Gym area with machines. 24 hour Business center was used for a few days by a small group. Paid laundry available. Comfortable bed with many pillows. Housekeeping was excellent bringing us extra items and new batteries for the remote. I highly recommend and will be staying here again.

The inside was nice and the rooms were small but adequate. The rooms have a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. One big drawback is isolation: there are few restaurants or stores nearby. Another is their parking arrangement which is limited and complicated since they use a separate parking garage at the rear of the hotel. Having stayed here once, I would be OK doing it again but that first time was a real challenge. They serve meals but they are typically overpriced Marriott choices and there are few nearby alternatives. In fact, a nearby restaurant, CRAVE, was highly rated but disappointing. It was quaint and our room was fine and met all our needs but overall, I would not recommend it as your best choice if travelling through Akron. Stick to an interstate location IMHO.
