We found the hotel to be comfortable with a friendly staff! Most importantly, the room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. As is always the case with SpringHill, the breakfast is horrible and with an hour left, everything was wiped out. I think you just have to plan on not eating at a SpringHill for breakfast and tempering your expectations on that front. read more

She was laughing at guests requests and extremely disrespectful. If you have the chance to stay anywhere else I highly recommend it. Had an awesome stay here during my time visiting Cleveland. I love that the location is easy, right off of the highway--roughly 10 mins from downtown Cleveland. When we arrived and checked in, front desk was very efficient and friendly making sure we had everything we needed. As well as housekeeping here, I used the Marriott app, requested extra towels and blankets and within 10 minutes, they had it delivered to us. I also had an issue regarding seeing a charge on two different credit cards, the front desk was able to explain to me regarding my checkin on the app and in person caused that to happen but would be taken off (which it did). I also had another issue regarding ice cream left over in my fridge (which tells me it was not looked at and cleaned). They quickly resolved my issue--housekeeping came down immediately, removed the ice cream and cleaned it. Very friendly and professional staff. The room was very clean. You can tell it has been renovated so the decor is very up-to-date and modern. read more

This hotel was less than par. Cleaning staff would not leave clean towels in room. Had to go to front desk and request towels. Hotel night staff puffin on e cigs in the stairwell, and mean mug you as you walk past them. Thank goodness. My faith in Marriott properties is starting to rise back up from the ashes. That said... I have to give Yelp a shout out here because I double checked Yelp reviews prior to booking my stay in Cleveland. This property had consistently positive reviews and many were recent. Check in was easy, friendly and quick. The lobby is open, spacious and clean. There are some good snacks to choose from in the market area...which we took advantage of since we were too tired to go to a restaurant or even wait for takeout/delivery. The room was clean. Sheets and pillows were clean. Towels were clean. Floor was clean. I didn't need to clean the toilet like I did in the last hotel! It was clean! It made such a huge difference after a 12 hour drive to arrive at a comfortable, clean spot. Very easy to access off the highway as well. Easy parking. Complimentary breakfast...it's a buffet (which is weird to me due to Covid), but it's available. I think I'll start to book Springhill properties as I continue to travel in the future. And, of course... I will double check reviews here on yelp. read more

Nice large rooms. We chose two queen beds snd there was a couch, desk, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. Clean. Quiet. Coffee 24 hours in Lobby. Exercise room on first floor with big windows for light in daytime. Nice outdoor patio areas, with covered area shade in one area and a fire pit in another (uncovered) area. Personnel were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is good -scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, but could be improved by some variety fir people staying more than one night. Also fresh fruit would be nice -bananas, apples, oranges. This chain could consider getting a signature breakfast item like the Holiday Inn Express's cinnamon rolls-just a suggestion. read more

Springhill Suites is awesome and this one is no exception. Stayed here while in Cleveland and everything was extremely nice and clean. Although now they don't really do housekeeping because of COVID, everything still feels very clean. I appreciate how new their bathrooms are, especially the shower. I think typically the suites are a little bit bigger, but there's still adequate enough room to move around with a whole desk area with a microwave which is nice. I think its interesting that they still have complimentary breakfast. Although now I think they have way less options, its still nice to wake up to strawberries and eggs. Also really appreciate how their lounge/lobby area has outlets for work stations. Always so impressed by Springhill Suites! read more

Some of the staff, particularly Yelenda and Timothy, were absolutely horrible to my family and our friends/teammate's families. It was my belief that people working in hotels were in the hospitality business and this facility and most of their staff were anything BUT hospitable. We were there in a "stay-to-play" capacity, meaning our team HAD to stay there in order to participate in the tournament we traveled for. This also means the hotel entered into this agreement with the tournament, knowing hockey players would be present in their facility. This staff kicked out 3 of our families with NO prior warning as to why, even going so far as to call the POLICE to come and escort them off the property. My husband received a phone call stating that the front desk got a noise complaint, and when they were satisfied that there was actually no loud noises coming from the room, they responded with, "Ok that's good because we wouldn't want to have to call the police". Completely ridiculous and unacceptable behavior, especially as our options were limited and we were coming from Buffalo, NY. What a way for Marriott properties to treat their Titanium Elite members. I would caution you that if you are traveling with any children, especially those that make ANY noise or may walk faster in the hallway than this staff may find appropriate, to stay in another hotel. This behavior was like nothing I have ever encountered while traveling. read more

We love the SpringHill Suites in general, and this one stacks up to our expectations. The pool area was well-stocked. The spa didn't have a timer like you usually see, so I don't know how long it stayed on. We left before it quit. The seating inside the spa wasn't as deep as usual so we found ourselves having to adjust the way we sat to get our shoulders in the water. Do not stay at this hotel. Seasoned traveler got taken for a ride... We checked in late after 10pm. Walking in my room barefoot I had sticky muffin crumbs sticking to my feet. Took a shower and no soap in the dispenser. The next morning we headed out for a few hour, so I consolidated my sleeve wallet with my large wallet, but I left $50 in my sleeve wallet. The hotel does not have a safe in the room, but I advise them to install safes ASAP. Slide my wallet into my backpack, sipped it up, and turned it upside down on to of my suitcase. We proceeded to leave the hotel, but I stopped off at the desk and asked if someone could vacuum the carpet and put soap in the dispenser. Came back a few hours later to find my backpack was flipped over and gone through. My money was gone, my wife check her purse and found the money she had in a side pocket was gone. Fortunately we only had left $60 in our "secured" room. I notified the hotel staff and the knew who they sent to my room (not disclosing the guy's name), and said they have had problems with him. The following day I spoke to the hotel manager, and she said an investigation was being done, and they would be able to check video footage. The response I got was the "issue" and the "employee" had been dealt with. I was offered to receive $60 in points to compensate me. I was not pleased with the clear need to show no liability and that I could have $60 worth of points. The manager did say she was so very sorry, but I'm not sure what she was sorry for as she refused to say what the "issue" was to me. No accountability, and after repeated request to speak to a higher up manager I never received a response. I hope the manager sees this review and knows that I'm not going to just be brushed off like I must have misplaced my belongings. I spent over an hour at the police station filling out a report during my vacation. All I have to show for it is this Yelp review. read more

I have to say that I really enjoyed our stay here for an evening during thanksgiving weekend. Really not much to complain about during our stay. PROS: -Free breakfast. Free is always great -Everything seems nice, modern, and fairly new all around (room, gym, lobby) -Location. Just a 15 minute drive or so to Cleveland. I think I would've preferred staying here versus a hotel somewhere in downtown. Location might be just off the highway, but noise was definitely not an issue at all. -Spacious rooms. The suite we had was great. Separate living space, a working desk, mini fridge, roomy restroom, etc -Free bottled water from the gym -Nicely priced. I forget how much we paid for the room, but I recall it being more than reasonable. CONS: -I think the only thing I can dock for is the breakfast quality. While free, probably not the best quality in terms of eggs of sausage. Would definitely give this hotel another consideration if we visit Cleveland in the future. I stayed here on a recent trip to Cleveland and it was my first time staying at a SpringHill Suites -- I was impressed by the room itself -- there was plenty of space, a big couch, desk and walk-in shower. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The complimentary breakfast could have been a little better-- the hotel was completely booked the night I stayed and staff seemed to be struggling to keep supply -- I got the last coffee cup available but then discovered there wasn't any coffee left and the pastry items seemed old and dried out. The only hot items were those you toasted yourself or breakfast sandwiches that were definitely microwaved and then placed in warmers. I would definitely come back but skip breakfast -- this location specifically is located really close to the highway and it's super convenient to hop on and get to downtown Cleveland in about 15 min! read more

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend back in October and overall had a good experience. The hotel is newer and feels very clean. It's right off the highway so the location is good too. I would absolutely stay here again, however, there are 2 reasons it didn't quite get 5 stars. I called ahead to get a pack n play added to our reservation. The woman on the phone said she'd add a note for our room so the pack n play would be available when we arrived. Unfortunatley when we got there, the front desk woman had no idea what we were talking about and said there was no note on our room. She also told us that we should've called first to give them a heads up (which i did!) She said that the facilities people were not in the building so she didn't think we'd be able to get a pack n play. This was very unfortunate as I had a 5 month old baby with no where to sleep. Finally she was able to find someone to help, only to find out that they had already set up a pack n play in our room. So crisis averted! But it would be helpful if all the staff were more educated on policies such as where pack n plays are located, if they're set up ahead of time, etc. The morning breakfast was just okay, hence the other reason for just 4 stars. However, if you're looking for a clean place to stay with a convenient location, this is the hotel for you. read more

This was a great place to stay. It's conveniently located to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Cleveland, Akron, and even Canton. My wife and I always noted how great the common areas smelled. It just smelled clean and maintained. Even though they were very short on staff, we never had an issue getting service or items we needed. Room touch ups are by request only. We were simply able to go to the desk for more shampoo, toilet paper, facial tissues, etc. When we had an issue with our lock, someone came up to check on it in moments. The staff were all very polite and helpful with whatever we needed - supplies to info to directions to just chatting while I waited on my wife to come downstairs. The breakfast was good. It was the same every day with some minor changes. Scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, sausage patties, selection of bread (bagels, bread, English muffins, etc.), muffins, cereals, different fruits, etc. It was mostly very quiet despite a lot of traveling youth sports teams that appeared to stay there. They did a great job in challenging times from a staffing perspective. read more

Place needs a serious cleaning. The bathroom shower walls had mold because it obviously has NOT been cleaned; hair on the floors and tub (disgusting); dirt piled in all corners. Apparently, just the basics or as little cleaning as possible was done - it's a shame because the property is well designed, and could be great. The beds were like rocks, the pillows were FLAT, the room felt damp, and the road noise was as if you were sleeping by the side of the road. Insulation and better windows would be a great upgrade. My 2 grandsons were shocked with the snoring - they thought I had suddenly started snoring BUT it was the guest next door. The walls are so thin you can hear everything. I wish people would take a good deep look at these properties when they leave reviews and tell all that they see. There is no way to give a 5 star to a property that barely cleans their rooms. read more

Stayed here recently for a work trip. Due to weather and other issues we missed our original stay and had to re-book our room the same week. We had already been charged for the days we were not there. Matt, the General Manager refunded at no cost and met us in person onsite. What a great guy, you can tell the service is way above par by both him and his staff. Everyone was great! The rooms are modern and very very clean. A nice sitting area in your room. The gym was one of the best gyms I have seen at a hotel and the water bottles are a great touch when you are done working out. Also the breakfast food was really good, way above average. This hotel was great in a lot of ways. The room we got was very spacious and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The location of the hotel was great. Very close to a lot of restaurants which was nice. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was overall very clean. There were a couple of things that we didn't care for. The breakfast, even though it was free, it was not that good. The eggs were watery, the sausage was some mystery meat and floating in water, the selection wasn't that good. But it was free so I can't complain too much. Now my biggest pet peeve was the pool. It was fine. But the Chlorine was SO strong. my grandpa didn't even go swimming and his eyes were burning from just sitting on a chair by the pool. Also, I just got a new swimsuit and it was all faded. The chlorine took all the color Out of it. They seriously need to test it and tone down the chlorine. But other than those 2 things. We stayed here when we attended a Cleveland Indians game. This hotel is great overall and we will stay here again for sure! The complimentary breakfast buffet has a wonderful selection. Beds are comfortable! I only wish our suite was on the top floor (I just love being on the very top floor). Staff is friendly. The location is ideal when attending a game because its got all kinds of restaurants around it and its not far from the stadium (12 miles). We will be back for future games! Stayed here for a week during the XMas Holiday. Perfect location in that it gave us proximity to the greater Cleveland areas we needed to travel to for family. It is a brand new property so everything was in excellent condition. Rooms were big and spacious with a separate sitting area to watch TV or do work. Staff was very accommodating and the continental breakfast has great selections The best part was having the ability to walk to 4 or 5 really good restaurants for dining. My last stay here was great. My stay this past weekend was good but fell short of being great. I think the biggest difference comparing the two stays is the decline in customer service. During check-in, the staff member just seemed like she had no desire to be there. I never even saw the staff member during check out. I stood at the desk, placed my card key on the counter and then heard a voice from the back that said "thanks." That aside, the room was spacious, clean and quiet despite so many guests. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to a variety of restaurants and major roadways. The common areas were showing signs of frequent use but there were quite of view guests and children coming and going. I will stay here again next time I am in the area. New hotel with outstanding modern furnishing by West Elm. I've stayed here twice and both times the rooms were comfortable and the AC Wall Unit worked well. If you cut off the AC there's no cold air blowing into your room to unnecessarily recirculate. The only issue is the waffles. WHY IN THE WORLD DO YOU ONLY OFFER WAFFLES ON THE WEEKENDS? Bad start by leaving me standing out in the cold for 45 minutes waiting for their shuttle and got some attitude when I brought up my displeasure upon arrival. However the rest of my stay was great and this a a very nicely appointed location. The physical property is great and well maintained and it is close to plenty of food options close by. Had it not been for the rocky start would have been a 5 star stay. If you are taking the shuttle they will 'reserve' a time for your expected arrival. I was told this after-the-fact so it may solve the transportation problem. read more

We stayed here for 4 days on social visit to Cleveland. This ended up being a great location for us. Easy in and out of the city in 15 minutes. Staff was really nice. Welcome desk greeters, housekeeping, maintenance people we met were all super helpful and kind. Hotel was really clean and well maintained. Rooms were great. Generous space. Nice style with West Elm decor. Bathroom was spacious. Extra bedding and pillows. Bed was comfortable, as was the couch. The large Smart TV is a great feature. We had the option of using Bluetooth, Netflix, pandora or internet. Pool was clean, plenty of towels for use, not crowded. Hot tub did have a couple of glitches, the jets wouldn't work and maintenance addressed it immediately by resetting the breaker. I'm confident they will sort it out as they were attentive to the issue. An amazing benefit to this hotel is the free full hot breakfast. To be honest, it is not actually an amazing breakfast but it is better than continental. Eggs (likely a box scrambled mix), bacon, sausage, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, mixed breads and pastries. The complimentary 4 coffee choices (all a bit weak) and teas were out 24 hours. Overall, happy with the selection to stay here, would recommend it and look for another to stay in. read more

I stayed here this past week for work and had a really nice time. Melinda, the bar tender is a hoot- super fun and personable. It's a perfect location for anyone doing business in both Akron and Cleveland as it's situated in between and right off the highway. The staff was also great too- I cut my finger one night and they got me absolutely everything I needed from bandaids to Neosporin to plastic covers for the bandaids so I could shower- they really went above and beyond to make sure I was okay! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town for work! read more

The pool is on the small side, so the excess of rowdy kids occupying the pool area was kind of a bummer, but what can you do? I was quite disappointed by my recent stay. Initially given a room in which the rolling barn-style bathroom door was completely off its rollers, I reported the problem to the front desk, who sent a staff person up to look at it. The staff person told me that Maintenance would need to look at it, but that Maintenance were not in today. That's it. Heavy door off the rollers seemed to pose an obvious safety hazard, so I was surprised that was the extent of the response. Call #2 to the front desk was to request a new room, since I did not have the luxury to move my visit to a day when maintenance could fix the obvious safety hazard. I was initially told no rooms would be available, but after some persistence, a "similar" room was located, and the same staff person was sent up to deliver the new keys. The only problem was the new room was actually not that similar to the one I had reserved. Two beds were now one, and the bath-shower combo now lacked a bathtub. Call #3 to front desk was to complain about the new room. I was told that because I was a man, and was traveling with a woman, the front desk had just assumed I would prefer the one bed. This made no sense to me, considering my original reservation. However, by this time I was already late for a dinner appointment, and decided to just accept the obviously inferior room. Front desk agreed to charge me $20 less, which seemed as fair as things were going to get, though I was disappointed to find myself in a lesser room than the one I had reserved. At check-out, I was not asked how my stay was, and, hoping to give feedback of some kind about my negative experience, I asked if there would be any opportunity to provide that feedback. I was told a survey would be sent with my receipt. No survey was sent. I contacted Marriott customer service, who told me I would get a call back within a few days about my complaint. A week passed. I followed up and was told that the hotel had already resolved my concerns by deducting $20 from my bill. I would have appreciated a chance to communicate directly with someone about the problems I experienced during my stay. Instead, the lack of satisfactory response turned what might have been a minor issue into an all-around dissatisfying experience. read more
