Love this park!…read more We've been coming to Country Roads since 2004. We've been here for a number of RV rallies and just short visits on our own. We knew the previous owners well. I don't know the current owner or if I've met them but I will say that the place is still very well run from a customer perspective. All staff we've ever encountered has represented the park well. The property is kept up well. Always mowed and nice flowers and plants well planted and cared for all over the park. We used the laundry this week there for the very first time. It was very clean, the machines all worked well and it was inexpensive in our experience ($2 per wash and $2 per dry). The laundry is behind the office and accessible from the office or from the back of the building. Tokens for the machines are sold at the office. They sell firewood, ice, food and other items at the office. There's a small check-in office as you enter the park. Once you are checked in, staff escorts you to your site. The roads in the park in concentric circles. It's very unique and it works very well. There are a lot of tall, mature trees that they keep trimmed up nicely. So most sides have some shade and some sites have a lot of shade. There are bathhouses here. I've not used the showers but I have used the restrooms. Very clean. This park allows travel trailers, 5th wheels and motor homes. I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions on units. I've seen some older (not junky) units in here, some very nice Prevost-based units and everything in between. There are seasonal RVers here but my sense it that great than 50% of the RVers here are transient. Country Roads has always advertised itself "for the big kids". This means there are rarely any children present. There is no playground here and the pool was filled in, in the early 2000's. This suits us well. There are many, many RV parks in this area and all of them cater to families and that's just fine. We've stayed at many of them when we had our kids with us. Country Roads in 5 to 10 minutes from anything in Lake Delton / Wisconsin Dells / Baraboo. A Walmart and Home Depot and more are a quarter mile away. I can recommend Country Roads to any RVer with any type of RV.

Full hook-ups at a reasonable price. Lots are long and spacious. You're close to your neighbor, but not that close. They do have horseshoes to throw and they do Farkle Friday (dice game if you don't know what that is). It's very close to the Dells, Devil's Lake State Park and Mirror Lake State Park. Lots to do in the area, especially for families. TONS of water parks (which were insanely crowded this weekend as we drove by).

We went to Ochsner's Park for a family reunion and came home to our cabins to get ready for a fire each night. The cabins are just perfect with a bed, bathroom, refrigerator, TV and much more. It was liking camping only so much better. Glamping if you will--so nice to have your own private shower and running water, It was in the 80s and beautiful, so nice to be outside most of the time. The cabins have heat and air conditioning if you need it. They have a pickleball court, a small bar to get drinks Thursday through Saturdays which also has a small deck where you can sip on your beverage. They have firepits for each cabin and provide any wood that you may need. They also have a large firepit across the parking lot for everyone to join. They are constantly improving the property with more things to come! Join their newsletter so you can keep up with all the goings on. This is a great place to stay after a visit to Devil's Lake, Circus World Museum, Ochsner's Park, The International Crane Foundation, Ski Hi Apple Orchard, Wisconsin Dells, North Freedom Train Ride, or any other event. We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

We were up the hill in a woodsy site and it was roomy, clean, and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were much better than Devil's Lake. The owners are nice and very friendly. The camp store is cute and has lots of merch. We bought merch because there were lots of options and we want to support small businesses owners.

Tim ( the host for the park) is friendly and helpful, and takes great pride in keeping it beautiful and orderly. He lent us an extension cord as the electrical hookups are fairly far away. The park was quiet and lovely. There were lots of friendly people, and it felt like a little community. It was very close to town which was really convenient. We travel in a 36 foot toy hauler with a one ton truck, and I do think that we were pushing it to try to get into some of the spots. Because we had not booked early ( we called the morning of) we had to move spots, and it was the hardest spot we have ever had to get into. Not the parks fault at all, our trailer was just a bit big. Both my husband and I really wished that we were traveling in a sprinter van. That would have been so easy. Lake Mendota is lovely and relaxing, and this is a special spot.

I normally stay with friends when I come to this area, but I found myself needing a place to stay…read morefor a wedding. I had heard about this place and it did not disappoint. Sure the furnishings are very retro, but everything is well maintained. The bathroom in my room even looked as if it had been retiled somewhat recently. I actually sort of prefer the "dated" feel as it's cozy and like home. Some of the ultra modern hotels just aren't comfy and I don't sleep well. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfast was also surprisingly good with breakfast pizza and biscuits and gravy on top of your typical continental breakfast fare. Overall, I don't think you'll be disappointed, especially for the amazing price. If I find myself in need again, Cedarberry will be on the top of my list.
