Clean, large rest stop. Nice views. The walk might be bit much for people that have issues walking but there are sidewalks.

large, very large... and well appointed as far as rest areas go plus car parking that doesn't penalize you for going past the building looking for a spot because there's a loop that returns you to the beginning (just like at Indy) with tables and such in the "infield" (also like Indy) and over night parking... with careful planning (and utter disregard for common decency) you could drop of your passengers and slowly circle around and pick them up as you go past, perhaps even doing some sort of random ethic fire drill where the driver gets out and someone takes the wheel for a circuit or two (like in Daytona)... not that you should, but you could, and it would be fabulous! This is one of the nicest rest areas we've stopped at. The building itself is large with lots of natural light. Love that it is modeled off Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. Several vending machines. And most important, very clean bathrooms. It was also a great spot to "get the wiggles out" with our kids. There is a small playground area, but it gets the job done. And if that doesn't work for you, there is lots of green space with tables. It wasn't hard to find a parking spot either. A great spot to take a few minutes while on the road. read more

It's been over an hour since the last stop and so I stopped this afternoon for a quick bathroom break and a walk to stretch my legs. This rest area is along the part of the Interstate where I-39 and I-90 and I-94 run together and is just north of Madison. The rest area has a large building with a huge open area for walking. It's still a little brown in mid-April but I expect it is very nice during late spring and summer. Picnic tables and dog walking areas. Nice huge rest area with plenty of parking for cars and tractor trailers, the restrooms are clean as well and they have vending machines, they have plenty of picnic tables outside and it's definitely well lit in the after hours. read more

First time coming here. I needed a place to stop at and get a stretch in. This place is new and beautiful. Bathrooms are incredible, plenty of relaxing room too with places to walk around. Very environmentally friendly. Large abundance of parking. The take away from this place are the vending machines. I tried buying a drink and the drink got stuck. I got a refund and it happened again. What a waste! read more

Rest Area 11 - Sitting area - Rest Stops Near Me - Poynette, Wisconsin

A conveniently located rest stop right off the Interstate 90 highway east bound down to Madison with plenty of restrooms located on both sides of the building. There's also water fountains and a pay phone for those looking to make a quick call. The building is fairly modern with nice amenities, and I was impressed at how pretty the sinks in the bathroom were. Aside from the bathrooms, there's a small sitting area with benches, along with brochures along the walls. Quite frankly, it's quite spacious for a rest stop even if there's no official food vendors in the area. However, there are some vending machines located on one end for quick snacks and a coffee machine for those needing some coffee as well. Although we only spent a short time at this rest stop, I did feel more refreshed and well rested after taking a short break here. Highly recommend this stop for others who need a quick rest break. read more

Probably the nicest rest stop I've ever been in. As with most, it's easy on/easy off from the Interstate - this one being the red-roofed building on the south/east-bound side. There's quite a bit of parking, and it's a nice paved walk up to the building. The building pays homage to Frank Lloyd Wright, and is surrounded by prairie trails that drives the prairie-style point home. The inside is clean and well lit, and has plenty of room. There are a ton of stalls in the restrooms, and there are two private gender-neutral bathrooms as well. There are vending machines and travel brochures inside and a dog run, historical marker, and picnic areas outside. This rest area isn't anything to go out of your way for, but it's a great place to stretch your legs or use the facilities if you don't want to pull into a town or restaurant. read more

Stopped by briefly while headed southbound on a road trip. The facility was extremely modern and very spacious! The women's restrooms were clean and had automatic flush toilets as well as electric hand dryers, which are both great for maintaining sanitation standards. I'd have no problem stopping by on another drive! read more

After hours of driving, I'm the one who gave in and announced my need for the bathroom. Luckily, this rest area was up ahead. Very clean bathroom facility. There were very few cars there so it wasn't crowded at all. Plenty of parking and plenty of stalls. There are two Mens' bathrooms and two Womens' bathrooms - both spaciously packed with stalls. The inside is also filled with brochures to look at, and there are a couple of vending machines as well. Both the inside and the outside of the facility were very pretty. A giant compass on the ground outside of the doors would be cool to take a picture at. There are also cool things inside to look at, as well as a prairie trail outside. Picnic tables are located outside to rest/eat at. Super convenient rest stop along the high way. read more
