I am a professional yelper in Honolulu so my office is my apartment and coffee shops and the library and park benches. Being able to make my own hours and choose where I want to work from is great but there are times when I miss having an actual "office." The office is pretty swanky, air conditioned and has a very professional appearance. There's a receptionist to greet anyone who comes to have a meeting with you and a conference room is available as well. They've got everything you need to run your business (printers, binding machines, Wi-Fi) and you can even hire in-house secretarial help. I'm going to get all my Yelp packages sent there because I am tired of missing the UPS/FedEx guy and being forced to drive out to the airport! This is exactly the kind of service that Hawaii needs for young professionals. I've lived in large cities (SF, LA, etc) where they have similar hybrid office concepts (especially in the budding start-up world of silicon valley). I searched high and low for a "cubicle to rent" in Honolulu and finally found Resource Suites. They offer a gorgeous atmosphere and professional environment at really competitive prices. Everything is ready to go and included in the price (electricity, wireless internet, furniture, a/c). I know I sound like a sales pitch but I can't say enough about their services. Their relations manager Shane-nah was incredible helpful and willing to customize a plan to meet my unique requests/needs. This is the perfect atmosphere for start ups in Hawaii and I hope it encourages more entrepreneurial type businesses. My fiance works from home and is the "Pacific branch" of his financial consulting firm. Terrible service and communication. Trying for 1 week to get them my signed service agreement. They cant open your emails, they dont call back. Then I send it by fax and they even didnt tell me they finally got it after 1 week trying!!! They just told me I have to go there in person. BUM! A Bit concerned. Called the office to get pricing and see what packages for offices were offered. Instead I got a women on the other line, very lethargic and uninterested in answering just a few questions that I had. She ended up hanging up on me and when I tried to call back, she would not answer the phone. I called back from another number and then she picks up. Not sure what that was all about, however first impressions can be the last ones. I just tend to go with the flow and if at a first call experience, not good. I will not proceed any further. I would say not to ignore something that small as it often leads to bigger issues somewhere near by. read more

So many people are trapped in their offices, attached to their desks and missing out on life. I'd strongly recommend using Resource Suites. I run a professional service firm with operations in Japan and the US, and have used several serviced office solutions before, including ServCorp and Regus, as well as smaller companies like Executive Centre and Resource Suites. Daniel and his team at Resource Suites are top notch. One of the greatest benefits they offer is flexibility. Their answer to all of my questions was "yes," and when they hadn't done it before, they found a way to make it happen. Maybe the second best part of their service is no hidden fees / expenses. At ServCorp and Regus, I was constantly surprised by fees for everything. I think they even charged fees for asking what the fee for something was! Very straight-forward and affordable at Resource Suites. They've really found the sweet spot for serviced/virtual office solutions: flexible and affordable without sacrificing location quality.
