Checkin: November 15, 2025 Checkout: November 18, 2025 Room 402 Bed bug bites and overcharged! confirmed by Doctor, I have Bedbug bites on my lower left leg and right upper back. He said I should notify the hotel for future guests. I called and confirmed we did not need a code for the medical discount. (We needed the code at a diff hotel in Scottsdale.) When we checked in, I verified we were there for medical reasons and asked what the rate was. He said we would get it at checkout. I have never stayed in a hotel that would not tell me the rate upfront. He ran my CC, but said it would not be charged until we checked out. (I did not prepay) Upon check out, the GM, Tammy would not honor the medical discount. She said because I made the reservation via Expedia, she could not give me the discount (even though I called ahead, and was told when we checked in that we would be on a medical discount rate). Luckily it was only a 3-night stay - but I was mad enough with just those days being at a higher rate. House keeping did not clean our room on the scheduled day. Although we will need to return in 6 months, location is perfect - close to medical facility and restaurants... We will never return to this hotel. read more

I had to come to AZ for a little medical procedure and booked this hotel because it was close to the doctor I had to see. It was a great choice. It's close to a ton of places to eat. The rooms are spacious and clean, a little dated, but comfortable. The staff was friendly enough. I had to check out of my room but still had time before my flight and needed to take some meetings. The downstairs lobby area has plenty of seating and even little nooks where you can sit and work and not be disturbed. I never go down for the breakfast, but they had some decent options in their market if you are arriving late and need a little snacky snack. If you're looking for an easy and convenient space to stay, I recommend. I mean I think most people know what they are getting with a Residence Inn, but just in case the nice thing is you do get a small kitchen and there is usually some living space separate from the bed. I really felt like I had a ton of room to spread out. read more

I'm a platinum member with Marriott and I reserved this room through Bonvoy and on Friday before I checked in I tried to switch from 3 nights to one, because of work. I called Marriott for help and they said see the front desk and the front desk said see them. I checked in and since I pre paid they couldn't change my reservation or get a refund. Im coming back for work in one week so I tried to convince them to let me use the paid days later, but they refused. So I'm paying an extra $320 dollars for a room Im not using. I consider this legal robbery. Be careful when booking through Bonvoy or Marriott. read more

I stayed here for 40 plus days because of the location being across from Banner Medical center. I can't say enough about the staff. Joey was totally focused on customer service. He was so kind to us and went above and beyond. He was solely focused on the customer and making things comfortable for us. No one wants to be away from home for as long as we were but the staff made our experience much more pleasant. Then staff cleaning the grounds & the property were so conscious of their work. It looks amazing here. It felt very safe and the pool was so clean. Everyone relaxing by the outdoor seating area was respectful and we were not bothered by any noise and our room was right near the pool. I stayed here with my friend 3/16-3/21. A great location with restaurants & other services close by. The staff is wonderful, welcoming and helpful. Shout out to Ben who always greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and asked if we needed anything. Another shout out to the ladies who prepare breakfast-they are hard working, friendly and on top of the demands of guest. Many options for breakfast and all choices were delicious. Pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. The room was spacious (2 queen beds & a sofa bed) and very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable. The hotel was booked up but it never felt crowded or noisy. We were there from 3/25/23 - 3/30/23 for Cubs & White Sox Spring Training Games & to see friends. The hotel is very nice. The Common Areas are clean, well lit & comfortable. The room was clean & the beds were good, with a kitchenette. The grocery store was 5 minutes away. The hot breakfast was unbelievable, many choices, cold & hot, very tasty, which was included. All the employees went out of their way to assist us & make our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning next year! read more

NO-HAND-SOAP! Middle of a pandemic and no hand soap available. Was told we have to use the one 3inch tall bottle of palmolive for shower, handwashing and any dishes?!?! No masks on any housekeeping staff. Room had OVERWHELMING perfume smell to it. Planned to open windows anyway for circulation but even with windows open, still smelled like perfume was spilled in the room, so bad it stung my eyes. NEVER staying at one of these again. If they don't have hand soap, have they also run out of detergent for bedding, or disinfectant to clean bathroom? Also, no waste bin in bathroom, women have a need for a waste bin in the bathroom. Checked out early. $275 for this awful, awful room. No freaking soap for $275! read more

This place is a Home away from Home. I guess that's why they are the Residence Inn, right? We were lucky enough to stay HERE after a pipe burst in our home June 2017. The initial tragedy was terrible enough in the heat, but at least we had a dog-friendly, people- friendly place to LIVE for 4-5months, during the renovation. They have hot and cold breakfast EVERYDAY, and "social evening" offerings for the 1st couple days of the week ( appetizers, simple grill foods, or restaurant trucks). The front desk (Folau, Courtney, Ali, Janae, &everyone else was SO amazing)are super friendly and accommodating, & the housekeeping is FANTASTIC! I calculated the price to LIVE here, only because it was so pleasant. But you get what you pay for, and this place is EXCELLENT! read more

I love this hotel chain. I've stayed in lots of them. They are always super clean, mostly quiet, and the staff is top notch. This location was no exception. I was greeted by a sweet man who asked where I was from and shared a personal story about his visits there. While he talked he got everything squared away, the check in was fast. There are several medical facilities in this area and we stayed here because my dad was having surgery nearby. The night before the surgery, we found out he needed to stay in Phoenix for an extra night and we worked with a gracious front-desk clerk to book an additional night. Since we had used Expedia for our first night, he advised that the 2nd night would need to be directly through them. This was perfect and we thanked him for his help. Next day, after the surgery, my dad was in bad shape from the anesthesia so we were in the lobby area for a while working on getting him to his room. At this point, another front-desk clerk was on duty. She and another clerk in-training assisted us with providing a wheel-chair, which we were so very appreciative of. Shortly after, my mom who does not speak English, told me that the front desk called to request that we visit the front desk concerning the 2nd night. We headed to the lobby, and the clerk was speaking to my husband advising that they needed to create a reservation for the 2nd night. I advised that we had worked on this the evening prior. The clerk told us there was an error with Expedia. I attempted to explain that the clerk from yesterday made a reservation for us through them, but she was not having it. She moved her face towards us and hunched over, and said in a very condescending manner "that this can't be done through Expedia and that there was an error." When she did this, I lost my cool and felt very offended. When the clerk assisted us the night before, our card was charged, but I stayed quiet for the rest of the time when this other clerk was assisting us. As soon as we went back up to our room, I called the front desk to speak to a manager. Ironically, she answered the phone, and by her tone, it was very obvious that she knew that I was calling. I would like to express that I was very calm with her and the manager. I explained the situation to the manager, and simply let him know that I only wanted to advise about the situation and that we weren't requesting any compensation. I felt very stressed, and I told him that I wasn't arguing with her and that I simply did not want to get double-charged. I also told him that I did not understand why the clerk thought she should speak to us this way. We were calm and respectful. The only speculation I have, is that when she called my mom, she may have confused her with me when I went to the lobby. Overall, I felt really disappointed that she saw the state my dad was in and then behaved like this. The manager was very gracias, but he told me he did not think the clerk meant to be condescending. I understand this from the employer standpoint, but it was obvious that the clerk knew she was being aggressive with us, so I felt disappointed when he said this. On another note, he listened to me and checked the charges and did exactly what the clerk should have done. I appreciate the manager for providing the customer service the clerk should have provided. read more

I usually stay in Scottsdale when I'm in town, but my coworkers love this place and I can see why. CLEAN, super quiet, brand new, and feels homey in just the right way. Excellent, friendly, staff. I feel this is very important for the community to know, this inn is under contract with insurance healthcare for Cancer patients, the front desk and manager are heartless looking for an extra penny from cancer patients, please if anyone sees this and is able to help please help, the staff is trying to charge dying patients cancer 3 stage internet ! That is so petty this people are staying there because it's right next the the banner cancer center where they get their treatments and they are under control by this horrible staff, as soon as they found out the insurance was called directly this specific patient has been pointed and and kicked out and charged by the staff, fortunately the insurance staff has more heart and while speaking to them about this specific staff they said they will reach out and find out why, but please and community member who can help I'm sure it's not just him I'm sure there are more cancer patients at this inn that are being charged for petty internet or room charge because the manager is trying to make an extra profit from them, please my Phoenix community help !!!! Do not stay here. The front desk staff is very rude and heartless. We checked in and the girl with curly hair is racist. I asked her why she had to run my credit card since the room was already paid for and with a snotty attitude she said give me a minute. Then after she was done doing whatever she was doing on the computer she explained the room to my husband and ignored my question. So I asked her again what the reason was for running the credit card since the room was already paid for. She gave me a response with the snottiest attitude I have ever seen. The rooms stink and have stains all over the floors. The couch has holes in it. By far the staff in this place has the worst attitude Ive ever seen. This girl should not be working here. read more

Stayed at this hotel, checked out on Sunday the 2nd of February. My wife left some new clothing at the closet which we forgot to unhang. CallEd in on Tuesday to ask for them and we were told nothing was found there. Was very disappointed by this. How are you not going to return thinned left behind. Places like this cause shame, gives bad name to rest of the Marriotts. This will make me look into other hotels for my next stay. read more

Recently stayed at this new property (I was told that the just opened in January 2014), and was very impressed. It's much nicer than some of the other Residence Inns that I've stayed at, and you can tell that it's new. It's located in Gilbert, which was convenient for me, and near quite a few things (the freeway, hospital, grocery stores, etc.). Bed was comfortable, nice seating area in the studio that I stayed in, and it had the feel of a boutique hotel, which I love. Service was also really good, and they have both a nice swimming pool and workout room. I would definitely recommend this place, and will probably stay here again in the future. read more

There was a house fire that caused my family to be relocated. By luck I found the residence inn. They have been nothing short of accommodating us especially the assistant manager Joey. He has checked on us every day to make sure we have everything we need. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. The room itself is very spacious and clean and the continental breakfast is delicious. We had a flood at our home and we have been here since Nov 2021 and the staff and management have been totally nice and caring! The room we have is a kitchenette and it has everything . Clean and spacious room!! All of the "Hi's and welcome backs" are so friendly. They have helped in every way they can no matter what the situation may be. The morning free breakfast is great. They have a wide variety of breakfast favorites and the make your own waffles are awesome! And they are pet friendly!! I don't think there is a restriction on breed we have a Staffordshire Terrier and they just love him! If you are staying a night or longer it's totally worth looking into! read more

I checked in and thought all was fine, but while waiting for the rest of my family to arrive I started to notice a pet odor. When I got up to head downstairs I noticed black dog hair all over my white pants. The desk clerk was unapologetic and not helpful. We were able to switch rooms but it was a downgrade and we were not offered anything for our inconvenience. Overall very disappointing. read more

The hotel is nice, but the customer service is unprofessional and unacceptable. We had confirmed our reservations two days before as a Silver Elite Member, and then we were told that our reservations were canceled. They provided an alternative sister location. When we called, that location, we found out that the Courtyard Marriott was also booked. Altogether, we were extremely disappointed that after all these years of loyalty, that we weren't provided better courtesy overall. We will not recommend this place in the future. The manager on duty called me and after displaying our disappointment said she couldn't accommodate us and said that was our decision if we were unhappy. No accommodation at all. Super disappointed since I'm a loyal Marriott/Bonvoy fan. read more

Very welcoming staff. Always attentive and someone is always at the desk. Great eye contact, smiling and very good at greetings whether you are just walking by to breakfast, leaving, returning, etc. Well designed hotel and clean. Nice firepit and pool outside the lobby. A few TV's, fireplace and business center in the large lobby. A little store with snacks, frozen meals, things you need that you may have forgotten to pack, etc. The breakfast is NOT your standard continental breakfast. They give variety of hot foods each day. One item may be different or many items change. Make your own waffle with or without blueberries, strawberry compote, chocolate chips, whip cream, powdered sugar, nuts; have hot oatmeal with or without brown sugar; scallions, salsa, shredded cheese on your eggs; Assorted breads, muffins, yogurt, cereal, etc. The breakfast really impressed me. Our first morning had a hash with sausage, peppers, onions. I don't like potatoes or hash and it was very good. My husband was shocked at how good the coffee was. The rooms are nicely designed, the bed is comfortable, the bath towels are not too small and they supply shampoo and conditioner. Comfortable pillows. I don't know if all the rooms had what we had, because of the length of our stay, but we had a comfortable couch, plenty of drawer space, a full kitchen except an oven. There were only a few negative things like the shower drain not draining properly, toilet separated from the floor, old soap, hair and shampoo left in shower from the previous guest, old dishes in the dishwasher from the previous guest, but those are simple maintenance/housekeeping issues that did not taint our impressions. read more

We stayed in room 221 from November 20-22. The carpet in the room smelled overly soiled with urine...it must have been a pet friendly room as we saw pets across the way. We had the windows open as much as possible to get fresh air in. It wasn't disclosed to us that this was a pet friendly room. We put in the complaint at the front desk. They asked if we wanted them to shampoo the carpet at that moment; which we declined for our 2 night stay. Probably something they should do after pets are in a room. I was told that they would be shampooing the room upon our departure and also doing something for us in return. We received our final bill for the full amount and no additional acknowledgement. This is why I give them 1 star and I would not recommend staying at this place. read more

Excellent place to stay. The staff here are thoughtful and considerate. The breakfast is well done and the staff who run it are always sure to make sure foods are available. The hotel is kid friendly with a great pool area, basketball court and a putting green. We are out of our home for a while for a flood and this is a great place to stay. Laundry facilities are a bit expensive bit clean and do a solid job. The work out room is well appointed and can handle a hand full of people at once. read more

I called to get a room while my husband was getting treatment at Banner MD Anderson. My husband has a small dog that he wants to be near. I asked for the medical rate and got the same rate that AARP offers and they told me it would be a non-refundable pet deposit of $100.00. I said not thank you and booked at the La Quinta Inn that is one off ramp down on Superstition Springs Blvd in Mesa. The room was $70.00 cheaper and no pet deposit was required. Pets stay free. For my husband's next treatment we will stay at the La Quinta Inn who I give a 5 star rating. read more

Associate at the Hotel was not rude she is condescending and talks down to customers. Room was not even available as they booked an ambassador in the same room and wanted me to wait till after 5pm to get in a 2 bedroom that I paid for 3 days prior. Then she tried to cram 4 people and a dog into a studio. Because we were unhappy with her attitude and the treatment we were receiving. We decided to treat her the same way were treated. At that point she refused our stay. As retaliation when I stated we were prepaid and want my money back She then deliberately charged my card for a room again. I didn't even stay there. And still proceeded to charged again. She is not new to the hotel; she is not just learning and made a simple error. She went out of her way to double charge. Not pending, not a hold on your account that drops off. But a full charge. Management including corporate Marriott refuses to investigate to find out why she is allowed to do this. They just refund the money have you wait 5 business day to get your money back. Brush it under the rug with no concern as to why this associate is fraudulently charging to customer's card. All you get is sorry for your experience. They failed miserably when it came to serve. According to the GM Tammy 3pm check-in is merely a guideline they have the right to push your check in to 5 or later. Not sure what you are paying for then? When I stated I should have read the reviews before I booked their Asst GM said don't check google that is only for Bad reviews you need to only read Trip Advisor. What a joke!! read more

No complaints. The room was clean and plenty of room. The breakfast was good compared to other places. There was a good variety of food, juice, and coffee for everyone's taste. Parking lot was fine. There are a ton of restaurants around (practically in the same parking lot) so you don't have to go far looking for food. Also there is a gas station practically in the same parking lot. Located right across from a hospital which is nice if there is a medical emergency or trauma situation. read more

Had to take up temporary residence here after a flood disaster at our home. The two bedroom suite with a kitchen was perfect for my husband and I, two young children and Grandma (who was visiting from out of town). The rooms were clean and well kept, and the free breakfast was much better than your average run of the mill cereal bar. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing and clean, and the lobby staff always greeted us with a bright smile. I would highly recommend this hotel. read more

We've had to stay here while our home was being repaired. Marriott has been very helpful and understanding with our family of 9. The kids will be missing being waited on, a full breakfast every morning, social events 3 nights a week, basketball court, putting green and a heated pool in January. I've stayed here the past three years on four different occasions and each stay was the duration of two weeks. I believe the hotel is new and opened about three or four years ago. In each of my stays the staff and management has always been friendly and professional. I've only roomed in the single bed studio which offers plenty of space and a kitchen. Restaurants, grocery stores, a sports bar and a fitness facility are near by and some within walking distance. I'm a runner, so I especially love that this hotel is near by a recreation trail (paved and dirt) which runs a long a peaceful water canal. Just of heads up Friday nights can be a bit loud if your staying one the far south end of the hotel because the sports bar is across the parking lot. Other then that this hotel is always my go to when working in Mesa/ Gilbert AZ. read more

Excellent service here. The kitchen sink had a horrible smell coming from it after a couple hours in the room. They had it taken apart and cleaned within a hour. The room was spacious and clean with a low level of noise from neighbors. I would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone in the Gilbert Chandler area. read more
